This summer has been a stay at home one for me since other half had a heart attack in March. No traveling but did get to go to a few great garage and estate sales where I was able to pick up many stamping and other craft supplies very reasonably.
ReplyDeleteOur fun family trip was to visit family in Virginia, it was great to see them and see my niece graduate from high school! Also, since i live in south Florida the beautiful weather was such a lovely treat! Since we have been home we have been attending lots of Fire Department Retirement ceremonies and parties and today is my birthday! My son starts school on Aug 17.
ReplyDeleteNot much this summer. I have a 16 month old Grand-Nephew and have started watching him one or two days a week. But we did get a chance to go on a weekend adventure with our 21 year old son for his birthday! A trip for fun and fondue. It was amazing! I am going to LOVE trying out some of these great projects!
ReplyDeleteLots of days out with my great niece. Lots of crafting and sitting in front of a fan as i couldn't cope with the heat xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous projects from the DT! I love the colors of fall, so the August Ribbon collection is one of my favorites. So far this summer, I've enjoyed some great rides on the Harley. I hope there are many more to come.
ReplyDeleteOMG! GORGEOUS PROJECTS as usual!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love these ribbons! I just got back from PA visiting my sister and my two nephews and nieces.... my Brother was in from Ireland! It was a blast! School starts next week for us... but I am only a Dog mom... so not much change here!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite time of year so love this set of ribbons and the projects on the blog hop. My husband retired in the Spring and we celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary in June. We have been working on our new property--moving and we put in a new dock and have had our son and his family visit us several times. School hasn't started yet here but will in the next couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous assortment of ribbons and beautiful projects along the hop! I had a pretty quiet summer. We are just finishing up having a new deck built on the front of our house, so we've felt pretty home-bound the last several weeks! We did get in a couple of day trips over to the Lake Tahoe area though.
ReplyDeleteSchool starts next week I think.... no kids at home any longer so it's kind of hard to keep track!
As we are coming out of the end of winter, I can't really comment - most of my summers are spent in the garden, walking, particularly around the local lake, and in the studio. As a Grandma, I am aware that at the moment the children are part way through the third of four school terms here (in the Antipodes)
ReplyDeleteI love this selection of ribbons - they are gorgeous. Some of my favourite combinations are there!
Blessings
Maxine
What a pretty assortment of ribbon - love the Autumn ribbon colors! I am not much for summer heat anymore, so have not done any summertime activities, used to love to go to the Mountains in summer and later years, October - such a beautiful time of year! I just dream about it and say someday, I will take that trip to New England in the Fall...
ReplyDeleteBecause I am retired summer does not always mean taking a vacation for me, so I spent most of my time going thru my mothers belongings and working on the house. I did fit in crafting everyday including making my own digital kits for my Junk Journals and making three journals. Unfortunately I took a bad fall doing a blackout at night and have been recovering since June, so no gardening was enjoyed this year. I think school starts the last week of August here.
ReplyDeleteThis summer we held our first family reunion...so wonderful to see family that I haven't seen for years. We worked on our family tree, shared scrapbooks of photos that spanned five generation, and laughed a lot as we swapped childhood stories. School starts the first week of September. By the way, I don't mind rushing Autumn--it's my favorite season.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see summer go but love the pretty fall colors! This summer was spent at our lake house and kayaking (I flipped mine twice)...school starts day after Labor Day in Michigan. Very pretty ribbons!!
ReplyDeleteSchool starts the 26th in Michigan - I did a lot of fun things this summer - my best vacation was at the cabin with my son, DIL, and grandkids -best time ever!
ReplyDeleteI hate that summer seems to be ending already. July was hot and humid, and now all of August has already been fall like, with cooler temperatures. We didn't go anywhere, instead, we had a big family get together at our house, and did a ton of wk inside the house, and out in the yard too. Hoping we can take a fall trip somewhere though, and our schools don't start until after labor day.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite summertime activity: Our church does a Back2School event. We're able to give them new shoes/socks, backpack with supplies, we wash their feet, pray with them, feed them and just mingle. It's always so fun! Our schools went back last week. Love your August ribbons!!
