  1. The ribbon assortment are beautiful. Looking forward to seeing everyone's projects. I get about 20 to 25 children. I love the little ones. They are so precious and very polite. Even the older ones are polite as well. Thank you!! Carolyn

  2. Even though we live in a subdivision, for some reason we never get any trick-or-treaters! I especially like the inclusion of the green ribbons in this month's selection ... seems like orange and black always show up more, but the green sets those colors off in a very pleasing way (in my opinion). And if I may say so, the blog hop samples show that fact off beautifully!

  3. We don't get any trick or treaters either because no children live on this street or close by.

  4. So much beautiful inspiration on this hop! Around my area, we don't get many trick or treaters. Back in the 90s, I remember a Halloween when we had 125! Last year (same neighborhood) we had two. So many schools and churches are having what they call "harvest festivals" that all the kids go there instead of going door to door. Makes me sad to see traditions go by the wayside.

  5. LOVE this ribbon group of fantastic Halloween colors! Sadly, moving to a 55+ mobile home park means very few kids, most years there are none. I do miss the fun of checking out all the costumes and making fun comments.

  6. I love seeing how other people use different products. The projects with the Really Reasonable Ribbon are great! I ordered some a few weeks ago and love it (especially the samples you sent!). I'm usually at my church at a Trunk or Treat event so I'm not home. We do see around 1000 kids there though.

  7. We get 0-5 Trick or treaters. Most years, it’s none. We live in an unincorporated area with forest preserve across the street. Plus we have no side walks, so it’s not safe. Unfortunately, that leaves all of the 3-4 bags of candy that I buy, just in case, for my husband to scarf down while I’m at work!

    1. I always miss writing the question - rats - we get none because we are in a condo association where Treat or Treaters are not allowed

  9. We just moved into this house a few months ago (it was my Mom's) so this will be our first Halloween here (at our other house, not ONE single kid in 14 years!). I am really hoping we get a lot. I grew up in this house and we used to get around 80 kids. Those were the good ole days!

  10. We have a wonderfully diverse group of homeowners: some young with families, some older with grandkids, and many who just enjoy the spirit of holiday fun; we have an organized neighborhood Halloween "party" with various activities and then groups go trick-or-treating up and down our neighborhood streets. Last year we had about 80 treaters, this year we're expecting at least that many. Love to see the youngsters dressed up!

    1. Sadly no trick or treaters. All the kids go to town where they have a safe Treat Street for them to have fun! I miss them too.

  13. For many years now, I've always made up 100 treat bags for my little goblin visitors. I would alwyas run out early without fail. However, over the last three years, I have seen the number of trick-or-treaters go down significantly. It's sad, but true...numbers are dwindling, and I think that eventually this will be an event of the past (trick-or-treating in general.

  14. Unfortunately we don't get any because we live in a 55+ community. Where we moved from we had about 200 every year. Quite the change.

  17. Awesome hop! I'm inspired to create some Halloween goodies! Love the Halloween Assortment!
We usually get no trick or treaters at all. We live out in the sticks! We just had a new family with 2 little girls move into the neighborhood, so maybe we'll get 2 trick or treaters this year!

  18. We used to get tons, and now its slowed down considerably. We still get ready with lots of candy, but we haven't run out in years.

  19. The # of kids seems to change from year to year. I think a lot of kids are going to churches, shopping malls, etc. instead of house to house. I sure do miss seeing all the dressed up cuties as well as the candy lol. Hope everyone has a happy and safe Halloween this year.

  20. Loved all of the projects on the Hop this month!! Sadly Ihave not had any trick-or-treaters for a number of years. First I lived in the country and then in a senior mobile home park. HVe moved again so I am not certain what this year will bring.
