Christmas Isn't Just a Day...

Hello Crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all!
Today's card was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the beautiful satins, foam squares and embellishments.

Two of the ribbons used are from the Octobers Ribbon Club Assortment, and those ribbons are called Delicate Stitched Forest Green Ribbon , Gauze Print Poppy Red Satin , as I thought they went perfect with all the layers on my card. I also added a sweet rhinestone embellishment .

Each layer was put together using the  Scotch advanced tape runner refill. , and then popped up using Really Reasonable Ribbons Foam squares . I did add sewing to the 3 layers.

Sentiment Frame- was done using a die cut from JustRite, and the stamp is from The Project Bin, and I also added distressing using Club Scrap ink.

Top panel under the sentiment frame- I used a fancy Quadrafoil Square Doily die cut from Cheery Lynn Designs.

I had a lot of fun creating this card, hope you enjoy my post for today! thank you!
Have a nice day!

hugs to all,
Cheryl

Deck the Halls Christmas Greeting Card

Happy December Peeps! I'm sharing a card I created with the new Back to Basics December Ribbon Club Assortment.
I was so happy to see this collection as I have some really fabby plaids that I've been wanting to use and the black ribbon coordinates perfectly!
I think the black ribbon was the perfect choice to anchor the red plaid.
Did I mention I like plaid? I am all about the plaid!
These gorgeous flowers are from RRR too. I've created a nice arrangement full of blooms and die cut leaves and glittery accents.
The sentiment is layered over a festive holiday die cut that reminds me a bit of chalkboard : )
I balanced the larger arrangement with a smaller second combination that accents the layered poofy bow topped with jingle bells.
Even though I was working on a busy background I wanted a little something extra so I included die cut borders in flat black. A few pearl are the perfect finishing touch.

Really Reasonable Ribbon~ Back to Basics December Ribbon Club Assortment, Red Tea Roses, White Open Roses, Red Asters, Ivory Burlap String.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Give Thanks

Hello to all our ribbon-loving friends!  It's Karen Letchworth sharing today with a card that I sent to my parents for Thanksgiving this year.  All of us here at Really Reasonable Ribbon hope that you all had a wonderful time with family and friends this year, and that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving.  We are so very grateful for all of YOU, and we want you to know how much we appreciate you.
I started with dark brown Bazzil cardstock, and layered it with some gorgeous patterned papers from Prima's new Autumn Moon collection.  I machine stitched the patterned papers to the card stock, and I inked the edges with Corduroy Distress Ink.  The striped flower and the circular chipboard sentiment are also from the Autumn Moon collection.  Everything else I used to embellish this sweet card is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I bundled up some Natural Burlap String and Antique Gold Burlap String, and then attached a bow tied with 5/8" Brown Gingham Ribbon.  I also added a sweet Two-Toned Green/White Paper Leaf and two Deep Ivory Open Roses are tucked in by the bow as well as a little bundle of gorgeous Gold Double-Head Stamens. There's another piece of the 5/8" Brown Plaid Ribbon underneath the chipboard sentiment piece that I secured with a piece of Scor-Tape.  I also used the Scor-Tape to secure all the papers in place.  It's a super sturdy and long-lasting Adhesive, and I use it all the time.  It's fabulous!  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many FABULOUS products.  Stop by again often, and treat yourself to something wonderful and new.

Have a great week!
Karen

Christmas Cards

Christmas is right around the corner.  It is easy to create beautiful holiday cards using the Really Reasonable Ribbon Monthly Assortment - Country Holiday Collection.
I added the gorgeous light blue ribbon from the assortment and then added a bow with Peppermint Baker's Twine to this fun, whimsical card.
The next card, I used another gorgeous ribbon from the assortment.  I love the green ribbon as one side is solid and the other has the checked.
Next I added the Melissa Lace to the bottom of the image.
I hope you enjoyed some more fun and easy holiday cards.
Wishing you a wonderful, creative day, dear friends.

Season's Greetings

Hi ribbon lovers.  Bonnie here today with another holiday card.  If you still have not started your holiday cards, it's time!!  My card today features pretty ribbons from the November Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I went slightly non-traditional today with the color palette, but can you really go wrong with a purple and green color combo?  I think not!
My sentiment is from the Jingle Bells digital stamp set from Graciellie Designs and my dies are all from Cheery Lynn Designs.
My bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the 5/8" ribbons from the November Ribbon Club Assortment.  The bow was finished off with a pretty Heart Shaped Pearl Embellishment.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  More more information on the other items used on my card along with a video tutorial for the poinsettia flowers, please visit my Make Time to Craft blog.

Friendship is Stitched With Love Thank You Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I know everyone is right smack dab in the middle of making Christmas cards, but I had the urge to play with some pretty vintage papers I ran across while tidying up the Closet of Shame.   When inspiration calls, who am I to argue?

Can you blame me?  I mean this is polka dots and vintage sewing goodies and chippy buttons...who could resist?  Color matching the ribbon proved to be a bit of a challenge.  But then I remembered that you can custom dye White Seam Binding Ribbon to make the perfect match!

If you've never done this before, it's very easy and lots of fun, too.  Simply cut a length of White Seam Binding Ribbon...I usually use about 3 feet.  Then on a non-stick craft sheet, or other non-porous surface, add a smear of Distress Ink in your chosen color.  For this ribbon, I used Tea Dye and Victorian Velvet.

Next, spritz the smeared ink with some water using a mister bottle.  When the ink beads up, it's ready to go to work.  Simply add the ribbon and move it around to soak up all that yummy ink.  I usually crumple the ribbon as I go to create a shabby, crinkled bow.  Gently heat dry the ribbon and then tie into a loopy bow with your Zutter Bow it All Tool.  I just love the finished product!

The inside of the card has a sweet little tuck spot and a lovely pocket.

The tuck spot is filled with tiny tags and an itty bitty gift card envelope.

The pocket contains a custom dyed ribbon topped tag, a tea bag and a honey stick.

Now I just have to figure out who to give this card to!

Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy
