Ribbon Bookmark

Hi Everyone!
True :D here!

As we are getting closer to Christmas, if you are like me, you are starting to scramble to get all of your crafty gifts finished.
Today, I did another quick little project that is a great gift for teachers, book club friends, or just about anyone.
All you need is about 15" piece of pretty ribbon, (I used Really Reasonable Ribbon's ~ Green Glitz), some coordinating cardstock, an embellishment or two and a couple of baubles!

Thanks so much for dropping by!
If you want the details and recipe, or if you just have a couple of surfing minutes to spare, I would love it if you come visit my blog!  :)

Some REAL Ramblings!!

Happy Sunday, everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog. We would also like to let you know how much the Ramblers appreciate your dropping by each day to see what's happening in the Land of Ribbon!!! I have been a bit under the weather and don't have anything new to show you but I would like to mention some things that are going on at Really Reasonable Ribbon during the month of December so that you can mark you calendars and visit the shop!!

Challenge #13 which is going on right now has the theme of creating ANYTHING other than a card with a WINTER flair! Doesn't that sound like fun? You are welcome to create a new project using this theme. A layout, ATC, home decor item, hairbow, Christmas decoration or tag or anything else you can think of! You may enter as many times as you like, but please make sure they are new projects. No back-linking please. The projects must also include some sort of ribbon/lace/trim. You have until December 13th at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects in order to win one of two very nice prizes. So come on over and join in with us at the Challenge #13 Posting!

For those of you who are not aware of the RRR Ribbon Club, I can assure you that you are missing out on a REAL DEAL!!! I am always very surprised at the quality and assortment of ribbons/trims in each month's shipment! Bonnie selects and pre-packs each monthly ribbon club assortment to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. And you can be sure that the assortments are selected way before a particular holiday, etc. For example, in October and November the selections of ribbon were geared to the Christmas holidays. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 5-8 different ribbon styles and consists of 10-15 yards of ribbon. The total price of each monthly assortment is $9.00 and includes the shipping/handling fee too! The December selection consists of some very YUMMY browns. Aren't they gorgeous!!!!!! So if you want to see them used, be sure to mark your calendar for Monday, December 13, when the DT will be having our Monthly BLOG HOP and will be using these yummy ribbons!!!

That's it for this Sunday!! I will see you again next Sunday when you drop by! Until then, its ANYTHING BUT A CARD-WINTER! Big hugs from Jacque!!

Bring on the Shimmer!

I know I've said it before but I LOVE this gorgeous Shimmer Satin Ribbon!!!  Today I used some fabulous Red Shimmer Satin Ribbon (ack it's currently out of stock!)  on my card along with this super sweet image from Belles 'n Whistles called Catch-a-flake Snowbaby.  The great thing about the Snowbaby collection at BnW is that 10% of the proceeds is donated to Breast Cancer Research!  Love that!!!  The paper I used is Echo Park Paper Co. Everybody Loves Christmas and the sentiment is from the PTI set Tree Trimming Trio.

Well I hope you have a wonderful weekend!  Thank you so much for stopping by today and I'll see you next Saturday:)

With God all things are possible

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to all! Today's post is a hanging inspirational card made using RRR Lace and Ribbon!

For my card I used Really Reasonable Ribbon's lace called 5/8" Ivory Crocheted Lace for the border trim on both panel pieces.  For my bow I used Satin with Grosgrain Edge in Champagne.  I then added a rose and branches punched out of shimmer cocoa cardstock.
The verse is from Heartfelt Creations and is stamped on cream shimmer cardstock. I added some roses and branches punched with a Martha Stewart punch.

Supplies Used:
Really Reasonable Ribbon/ Satin in Champagne & Crocheted Lace
Dp / DCWV Mariposa pack
Cardstock /shimmery, and AC for dark brown
Roses and Martha Stewart branch punch
Sewing

Thank you for looking and I hope you have a lovely weekend!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Baker's Twine and Ribbon Tabs

My DT Ribbon bag this month was overflowing with grosgrain, rik rak, baker's twine, gingham, stripes, satins, dots, and more. Sooo many amazing ribbons to get the creative juices flowing. Here's a couple of layouts using some of my new goodies.

Busy Little Boy

My favorite section in the store right now is the baker's twine page. There are eight fabulous colors to choose from. For this layout, I thought the lemon baker's twine was just perfect for my bumble bee trail. Rather than stitch his trail, I made some loops and then tacked it down with black floss. I LOVE all the extra texture and movement that the twine adds.

She's All Smiles

For this layout, I had three ribbons that matched my papers perfectly. I simply created three little loops to add to the border of a photo. One strip of sunflower swiss dots grosgrain, one strip of light blue random circles grosgrain, and one strip of bright pink fun stripe grosgrain. I also added just a tad more cotton candy baker's twine to tie a bow in my button. I just can't handle a naked button, ladies.

Thanks for stopping by today. See you next week! Aphra
