Naughty or Nice?

Well, this post is bittersweet for me, it's my last post with RRR. I have enjoyed my time here tremendously and am happy to have made some new and lasting scrappy friends! The new DT will keep inspiring us and I will still be visiting all the time! Thank you to Bonnie and the entire team!
I am in the Christmas spirit and thought I would use some of the ribbon from Christmas Sheer with Satin Center assortment. This ribbon is just perfect for any Christmas project that you have planned!

I used MOXXIE Party at the Pole paper and diecuts. I also added some Baker's Twine in Cherry, just a few little bows!!! I made the candy pieces by just drawing circles and using my Zig markers. I added a little bit of the sparkle with "Wink of Stella" by Zig too. I added the little Baker's Twine bows to the center of a few.

Here is a close up of the double bow, where I used the red and white ribbon from the assortment. It looks so festive together!

Here is another closeup of the little candy pieces with the Baker's Twine. I had so much fun playing with this page! I'm going to get a head start on my Christmas cards with some of this ribbon too!

Baker's Twine Tips

\ Hi! I really love using baker's twine, and I like to thread it through buttons and such. I also threaded it back and forth through some of the lace for an accent.Sometimes it's hard to get it through the holes, especially if you use more than one piece. I have a quick tip that makes it easy. Just take a tiny piece of double sided tape, put it right on the very ends of both pieces and twist, kind of like the end of a shoe string! Then it's easy to get it through anything you want it to go through!!!! I used that technique on this card, along with lots of stickles!!!

Here are a couple of closeups where you can see where I ran it through the button and also the pretty lace.

I added some "faux stitching" with my Zig markers. I just used a vintage image and then used different colors of stickles on it to bring out some dimension. I hope you play with your baker's twine and have fun using mixed colors and combinations!!!

A Simple Statement

Hi! Today I wanted to share a little mini-album that I did. This is a quick little book with minimal embellishments and 3.5x5 photos. I know there are a lot of really unique and fancy ribbon techniques but sometimes you just need a plain bow!!! They can make a statement of their own! I have so many beautiful ribbons from RRR that I wanted to showcase a few of them! I used colors that matched the paper which is the "Paradise Beach" collection from Echo Park. I used a simple stripe twill on the front and a couple of little ties on the book rings. I added little pearl and gemstone accents for the "bubbles".

Here I used the orange chevron twill and tied a neat bow. I used the same color ink to journal. I used my Zig marker for the journaling.

On this page I used the yellow star ribbon and a little of the hemp cord to tie the buttons.

For this page I used 3 ribbons the varied stripe the green star and the turquoise. It matched Addy's cute little dress perfectly!!!

Here on this page I used the same 3 ribbons. And another bow!!!

On this last page I just used a pretty turquoise ribbon, tied in a bow!!! This was really a quick little book to put together! And it shows off these cute little beach pics of Addy!!!

Happy Sunday

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I wanted to share a card that I did with some of  my older stamps. I know we all have (or most of us anyway, lol) those older stamps, put away in the back of the drawers and cabinets that are collecting dust. This time of year I'm always even more thankful for our military men and women and remembered a stamp that I had from Close To My Heart.
Well, I dug through the drawers and found it. I just added a bit of the pretty blue/silver trimmed ribbon from one of the monthly assortments and added some baker's twine around the corners. And I layered a little baker's twine bow on top. I have become addicted to doing that for some reason, I just like the look!

Beach Page!!!

Happy Hump Day everyone! It's Patti, and I apologize for getting my post up late. We've had some family issues (medical) lately and I've gotten off track, but everything is better now. I'm going to share a project today that I did using a mixture of some gorgeous ribbon and trim.
This is my sweet little cousin at the beach, and her little swimsuit was lots of fun to match ribbon to! LOL! I used some leftover scraps from several Echo Park paper collections.

Here you can see a closeup of the ribbons and trims. I layered the satin with scalloped edge pink with the diamond satin red on top first. Then made bows with the cherry baker's twine and the thin hemp twine layered on the aqua organza.

These are just closeups of a little bit of the detail of the other elements.

A "Thank You"!

Hi everyone. I wanted to dedicate this little card to Bonnie, for all of her hard work that she does for our team!!! I hope she likes purple, it's my favorite color and I used some of the Really Reasonable Ribbon purple goodness on this card!!!!

I used four different ribbons and trim on this little card. I used some older scrap paper and a few little blooms with 2 pins, other than that, it's all ribbon!!! I used the beautiful sheer butterfly ribbon, the stunning Beatrice crocheted trim, the purple Striped ribbon and purple Baker's Twine from the assortment!

How About Blue and White?!?!

Hi! It's Patti with a really simple card for you today. I've used some beautiful ribbon and Beatrice trim and I've used the Scor-Buddy for the first time!!! I had this beautiful "Faith" collection paper from Moxxie and I thought the beautiful Crocheted Allison trim would be perfect. 

Using the Scor-Buddy, doing a gatefold card was super easy. You just use a piece of paper that is 8/12" long and the score marks are right there for you. Below is a photo of the card open. You could put a beautiful verse or thought inside, but I chose to leave it blank to write a note.

Here you can see a close-up of the ribbon and trim that I used. I used Scor-Tape on the ribbon and trim, it works perfectly!!! The white ribbon is so delicate and worked perfectly with the crocheted trim. I just added the little pins for a finishing touch. I also placed the sentiment on pop-dots for dimension.

How About Some Summer "Aqua"?

I don't know about you, but this time of year I start thinking about the ocean, the beach and tropical places. I just got a new spool of the gorgeous aqua ribbon and it reminds me of the crystal clear blue water of the gulf.
 Well, thanks to a good friend (wink) I happened to have some paper with the same theme!! Some Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue! Perfect colors for the ribbon!!!! So a couple of cards were born!!!

On this first card I not only used the beautiful aqua ribbon, but also the Beatrice crocheted lace and a bit of Baker's twine.

For this one, I only used the aqua. I just wanted a pretty bow to highlight the tropical stamp images!

This just shows a little detail. The stitching is all done with my Zig marker!!! The embossing and stamps are from the Susy West WOW collections.

Now, if I can just take a trip to the beach!!! I would love to see these colors in person with the water and tropical blooms!!! I hope you enjoy the cards, and urge you to "think tropical"!!!  

Summer's Coming!!!

Hi, it's Patti and it's my turn to share with you today.Well, I don't know about you, but Summer is my favorite Season. I love the hot days, the sunshine and all the things that go with it. The smell of honeysuckles blooming, the green grass blowing in the breeze....so many good things about Summer.
One of the staples of Summer around here is popsickles!!! Grape, Cherry, Orange and Banana. The grape is my favorite, but I love them all. And sno cones too!!! I thought the gingham ribbon would be perfect for a Summertime card!

I used the 3/8" gingham ribbon assortment #000510. I just made little loops at the base of each and then made little ties for the tops!!!
