BOO Y'all

BOO!  It's your ribbon-loving friend Karen posting today.  Well, this isn't really all that scary.  But no what matter what time of year it is and no matter what type of project you're creating, you'll always find the perfect Ribbons, Twines, Trims, AdhesivesEmbellishments and more at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This (not so) spooky card uses several different products from this FABULOUS store.
I used basic black cardstock and then basic white cardstock to cut my frame using a cute Double Stitched Scalloped Frame Die Set from Poppy Stamps.  I rubbed the background with Kitsch Oxide Ink and splattered it with black paint, and then I stamped it with some tiny stamps from Paper Sweeties.  Once my background was all set, I ran a piece of Scor-Tape across my card and added a length of Black & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon to my card.
I also tied a bow with the Black & White Bold Check Gingham Ribbon as well as with some Cotton Candy Baker's Twine and Plum Baker's Twine.  I tucked several Double Head Stamens (Pink, Black and Milk White) underneath the bow.  I used Adhesive Foam Sheets to give my ghost dimension and create the shaker element.  The ghost and BOO were cut using the Ghost Shaker Die from Pretty Pink Posh.  In the ghost's "hair", I added a little die-cut flower and a sweet Lilac Sweetheart Blossom.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the products I used on today's project.  You're always sure to find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of amazing products at Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.  I'm so grateful to have you stop by and say hello.  Happy crafting, everyone.

Blessings,
Karen

Happy Birthday To You

It's always FUN to make and send a Birthday card to someone special.  I love using sentiments from Bonnie Garby Designs along with trims and adornments from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This sweet little card combines both perfectly into this easy little Birthday card for someone important in my life who deserves a sweet card.
I used black cardstock and some older Doodlebug patterned papers to create my card base.  I pieced together the background with plaids/ginghams and found some coordinating trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The trims I added across my card, at top right, and on the bow include the lovely Black & White Bold Gingham Ribbon, and Solid Deep Pink Baker's Twine.
The sweet birthday sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs, and can be found in the Birthday Greetings 3 Stamp Set.  The crisp images are always eye-catching, even when I rub oxide inks over them.  I also used an older stamp set to add the additional arrow.  I used Scor-Tape to attach most everything, and I also added some Faux Pearl Accents.
Thanks so much for visiting me today.  It's always great to hear your thoughts about what I made.  It's also great to hear what FUN things you've been doing with ribbons lately.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has so much to offer....from ribbons, trims and laces to adhesives, flowers and more.  Please visit again soon and happy crafting, y'all.

Blessings,
Karen

A Pocketful of Christmas Fun

One of my favorite little gift-giving projects has always been a good old paper bag pocket.  I have a wide assortment of paper bags for this very reason, and I always greatly enjoy decorating them.  With Really Reasonable Ribbon, I know I'll always find the perfect twines, trims and goodies to help me adorn them with style.  How sweet is this?
I used a basic brown paper bag, and I folded it halfway up, covered the bottom portion with a piece of vintage sheet music that I stamped on with a new Papertrey Ink stamp set.  I machine stitched that to my bag base.  Next, I ran a length of Scor-Tape along the inside lip of the brown paper bag, and I attached a piece of Ivory Crochet Lace at the top.  You can use any type of Crochet Lace to achieve this look.
At the bottom, I attached a piece of Black & White Bold Gingham Ribbon, some wool felt holly and berries that I cut using a Papertrey Ink die.  I also attached a nice long length of Ivory Burlap String and some Cherry Baker's Twine on the rusty jingle bells.  I tucked a gift card in the pocket along with two tags that I adorned with Red & White Bold GinghamMoss Green & Cream Gingham Ribbon, and several Double Head Stamens.
Making a fun paper bag pocket is a great way to give someone something special without spending a whole lot of money.  You can tuck in some photos, a note, a gift card, candies, etc. because there's an automatic built-it pocket for this purpose.  Go ahead....grab a paper bag, some trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and give this a try.
Really Reasonable Ribbon will always provide the perfect products to help you create wonderful cards and projects.  There's lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and lots of great shopping that awaits you at RRR.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.

Blessings,
Karen
