Hugs & Kisses and Birthday Wishes

One of the many things I love about Really Reasonable Ribbon is the vast variety of products they carry.  Not only will you always find everything spooled - from ribbons, twines, and binding to adhesives, flowers and hair bow accessories - they really have it ALL.  I truly enjoy the depth, dimension, textures and color that ribbons and trims add to my cards.
The darling sentiment I used is from Bonnie Garby Designs and it's from her Birthday Greetings 4 Digital Stamp Set which is filled with the most darling Birthday sentiments.  I love using the digital sentiment stamps from Bonnie Garby Designs because they make quick, easy and affordable to add the perfect sentiment.  I used the Frosted Frame Dies from The Greetery and Zesty Lemon Dies from Lawn Fawn.
The trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon that I used include Bay Leaf Seam BindingBaker's TwineYellow Gingham Ribbon and some pretty White Crochet Lace.  The other products from RRR include Sweetheart BlossomsMulberry Leaves and Scor-Tape Adhesive.  There are so many great products to enhance your cards and projects.
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today.  It's always a treat to have you visit and leave me some love.  Be sure to stop by Really Reasonable Ribbon in just TWO DAYS from now for their monthly Blog Hop where you can WIN prizes from Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie Garby Designs.  Happy crafting, everyone.

Blessings,

Together Forever Card

Good morning fellow Ribbon Lovers! Misty aka @Mommyofkidz here with you today sharing what I should have shared last week. Unfortunately, I was super sick and couldn't pull myself up off the couch, so I am sharing it now.  I spent the last four days laying on my couch in the living room feeling miserable.  After lots and lots of rest, soup, and medicine, I am finally feeling better.

While I was sick, I slept a LOT. However, I also did a lot of scrolling...mostly on ReallyReasonableRibbon looking at all the beautiful ribbons and flowers in the shop.  However, I also scrolled through Pinterest. I probably pinned over 100 ideas that I want to try, but only remember a handful of what I looked at LOL.  One of those that I remember was a color inspiration board with the colors pink, coral, cream, olive, and silvery grey. I knew that I HAD to use those colors, they were SOOOO flipping pretty!

I pulled out my Paper Roses Studios collection and set to work.
I think my favorite thing about this whole card is the huge bow.  That Silky Crush Ribbon is phenomenal! I have used it once or twice, and I have no idea why I haven't used it more.  It is gorgeous! I am IN LOVE with the vibrant Silky Crush Rose  color that I've used for this card!

But wait...the inside of the card is perfection, also! I got this sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designsand it reflects all the words that I would want to say to my husband.  It's ALWAYS Been You.

Finally, I used Silver Metallic String to hand stitch these squares in hopes that it would create a quilted look. I was looking for a dreamy romantic feeling, and to me, there is nothing more romantic than my own bedroom, and nothing more dreamy than my quilt that my grandmother made for me.  Therefor, I merged the two concepts and this was the result.

I hope I have inspired you in some way today! Whether it be a card, a scrapbook page, or a whole wreath, you can find exactly what you need in the RRR Store.  Whatever your project may be, head on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon and grab the perfect pairings today! Thanks for stopping by!

Fun Technique with Burlap String

Simple Stories Hearth and Home Shaker Card-Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  How much are we loving these cooler days?  Today I thought I'd share a fun way to add fall texture to our card designs. Natural Burlap String is always within easy reach in my studio.  I use this stuff so often that I buy it by the roll!  It ties pretty bows, of course, but it also looks great when you add it as a border on a card.  And it's so easy to do!

Really Reasonable Ribbon-Burlap String-Kathy Clement

To use this technique, you will need to build your card front before you adhere it to a 5" x 7" top fold cardstock base.  I had a large chipboard frame that was a bit of a Plain Jane.  After adding strips of torn designer paper to the sides, I still wasn't happy with it.  So I wrapped several rows of Natural Burlap String down the right hand side of the panel with the frame on it.

This looked so good that I decided to repeat the process on the bottom of the frame.  Simply use a small piece of Scor-Tape to hold the loose end of the string on the back of the panel, then wrap on as many layers of string as you like.  I used 5.  Then secure the string on the back side of the panel using another piece of Scor-Tape.  Easy Peasy!

Now top a Copper and Cream Gingham bow with another loopy burlap string bow to add even more texture and a nice pop of color to your card.

Burlap string comes in a rainbow of colors, so you can use this fun and easy technique with any shade of string.

Have a joyful and creative day, friends!

Cheerio,

kathy
