Welcome Baby Girl Shoes Card Folio

Echo Park Welcome Baby Girl Baby Shoes Card by Kathy Clement for Really Reasonable Ribbon
Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Has anyone else noticed how popular shades of coral are right now?  I think it freshens up this cute baby girl card folio, don't you?   Watermelon Taffeta Ribbon and Funky Flowers on Coral Rose Printed Grosgrain Ribbon pair so well with.  patterns and images in this Echo Park paper collection.

TIP:  Create a ribbon belly band by layering printed grosgrain ribbon over Watermelon Taffeta Ribbon.  This burst of color draws the eye to the pastel focal image and helps draw the coral shades out of the design.

TIP: Taffeta ribbon ties beautiful, crisp bows!  As a bonus, it's one of the easiest ribbons I've found to work with.  You can find a zillion shades of it in the RRR shop, and I'm sure there's one that's just right for your current project.

TIP:  Add a little sparkle and shine with an Iridescent Metallic Bow layer between the ribbon and the flower. I love this stuff so much I buy it by the spool!

Echo Park Welcome Baby Girl Die Cut Shoes by Kathy Clement

These baby girl shoes make me say "awwww" every time I look at them.  These were made with the help of a Cottage Cutz die that I found in my stash.

Ribbon comes to the rescue inside this sweet card as well.  It's easy to create a ribbon closure for this little folio!  Simply attach the grosgrain ribbon to the back of the panel with Scor-Tape.  Leave the ends of the ribbon long enough to wrap around the front of the card and tie a bow.  It's a mazing how well this ribbon matches this paper collection!

There's room for journaling, a gift pocket, a bitty frame and a large photo mat inside the folio.

Add a pocket to hold a wee note card and a Baby Milestones Journal Card.

It would be fun to add baby's first photos to this card along with sweet memories.  Then you could tuck the whole thing into your baby book as a keepsake.

I hope I shared some tips, tricks and ideas that you can use in your next crafty adventure.

Wishing you all joy and creativity!

Cheerio,

kathy
