I Love Fall!

Hello, again everyone! It is Gloria with you today. It is so hot where I live, over or near 100 degrees every day. I am so thankful for air conditioning and a swimming pool! But, I am so ready for cooler weather, but I know that we still get lots of days in the 90's even in October and November! I think I will go crank the A/C and drink something with pumpkin spice....

I have a fall themed card for you, using more of the beautiful August Ribbon Club ribbons! This is another 6" x 6" card, which is one of my favorite sizes to make. I don't care if they cost more to mail, I love making them!

The pumpkin paper and the sticker are from the Echo Park The Story of Fall collection (from a few years ago), and the orange gingham paper is from The Girls' Paperie Toil and Trouble collection (which is who knows how old!).

The "wood" grain is actually a piece of chipboard that I had die cut to make a mini book, but the project failed. I salvaged some parts, and this piece of scored chipboard covered with distress ink...looks just like wood! Keeper!

Now, for the ribbons! I wrapped both a length of the 5/8" Russet Orange Taffeta and a length of the  3/8" Cappuccino Satin with Gold Metallic Edge around the top part of the card. I secured the ribbon inside the card, then covered with white cardstock to hide the ribbon tails.

I created two bows, one from each ribbon style and glued them to the center of the card as shown. Super easy! Big impact!

I even put a little sneaky surprise on the inside of the card. {smile}

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Cards, tags, & flowers are my favorites and I have started making boxes for gifts and to hold battery operated candles. It's just plain fun and a chance to learn so many skills. If it makes your heart happy; do it. Any celebration or just for fun is a time for crafting! All the ribbons are terrific as usual; but the brown ribbons are so spectacular.

Now if you didn't win, don't worry!! We will be 'hopping' each month so you'll have another chance to win soon! We hope you stop by and visit our blog often.

Botanical Masculine Card

Simple Stories Lakeside Masculine Card for Really Reasonable Ribbon by Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Have you had a chance to play with the August Ribbon Club Assortment yet?  Wow!  What a great, versatile mix of ribbons!  Sometimes using ribbon on a masculine card can be a real challenge.  But now when you have these ribbons on hand!

Look how easy it is to add pattern, texture and subtle shine to the border of this botanical style masculine card.  Simply adhere Kiwi Diamond Satin Ribbon to 1/2 Scor-Tape.  Then layer elegant Gold Edged Cappuccino Satin along side it.

Cluster some moss, feather, Prills and acorn in a rusty bottle cap to add the perfect botanical embellishment to the card. Add some burlap string bows to amp up the masculine vibe of this outdoorsy card.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  Create a little gift card pocket, add a blank sentiment panel, and you are good to go!

I have really had fun with the Ribbon Club this month.  Can't wait to show you more!

Wishing you a joyful and creative day!
Kathy

Many Thanks

Hi, it's Karen, and it's time for another FUN card using RIBBONS from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I just love the way ribbons add texture to my cards and projects.  There's just nothing quite like it.  Like many of you, I'm a bit of a ribbon-o-holic, and Really Reasonable Ribbon always has all the perfect trims for every project.
This card has a black cardstock base and then a layer of pumpkin cardstock. The center piece is a piece of white paper that I inked and stamped. I added a length of sveral different ribbons including some from this month's gorgeous Ribbon Club Assortment. The trims I used include a length of the Autumn Owl Print on White Satin, 3/8" Turftan Brown Satin with Gold Edges, May Arts Stitched Twill, and Moss Green & Cream Gingham Ribbon.
Those cute pumpkins and the sentiment were stamped and cut using a set from Papertrey Ink. Other than printed ribbons, most all of the different ribbons and trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon come in oodles of various colors to match whatever you're making. That's one of the things I love about RRR - I know I can always find the perfect color for every project.
Thanks again for stopping by today. I'm always grateful for your visits and comments. I hope you're having fun creating pretty things this week. Oh, and please be sure to join us on the 13th for our monthly Blog Hop. You won't want to miss that.

Blessings,
Karen

Harvest Pumpkin Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Seems I've been in a mood for some fall projects after finishing up with our Christmas in July series. This card features beautiful trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I stamped and colored a trio of pumpkins in an untraditional palate for the focal point and paired some perfectly coordinating patterned papers to layer them on.

Stitched satin ribbon topped with twine, a button, and holiday charms to finish off this card.
