What is your favorite ice cream flavor??

I'm a bit of an ice cream connoisseur (which is probably not a really good thing!), and currently I'm stuck on Blue Bunny Chunky Chocolate Chip ice cream. Yum yum. I'm thinking that might be a local east coast brand, but it's realllly good. I do tend to change flavors/brands on occasion. I used to LOVE Edy's Nestle Toll House cookie ice cream, but they went and messed with the mix and now it's not so good. Don't you hate when that happens??!! I'm currently boycotting Edy's over this infraction. :) Don't mess with my ice cream!! lol

Fabulous Accordian Fan Card

I love hoarding my designer paper that has images on it rather than just patterns. I decided that at least once a month I have to make a project that uses some of that paper, and today is it for July! The paper is the Mariposa Stack from DCWV. I chose the accordian fan pattern first, and then found a contrasting pattern for the background second.

The fan was made by cutting a piece of the paper 8 X 2 inches. I used my Scor-Buddy to score every 1/4 inch. When I got to the end, I just turned it around to complete the scoring.

I held the fan in place with 1/4 inch Scor-Tape. I added some thin rub-on letters to the bird cage part of the designer paper for a sentiment ("thinking of you"). I adhered the fan, button, and Ivory Box Pleated Ribbon with 1/4 inch Scor-Tape as well. I added a bit of Light Green Curly Sparkling Trim to the button.

Pretty in pink...

Happpppppppppppppppy Summer ya'll! Cherry here to share a few fun cards done up with some delicious RRR ribbons and Scor-Tape. The first card I dug deep into my scrap bin..and pieced my papers together. I decorated a cute little chipboard house with papers and goodies and added some camille crochet lace to the bottom. I wanted a frame for the card and decided to make one from the sweet May arts pink crochet lace ...I love the shabbiness it adds. I also used some buttons that I adhered to each corner of the frame. From there I added a border of white crochet lace to the bottom for added softness and than topped the card off with some grunged up seam binding in pink .

The second card is just a traditional summer style goodie. I used scraps again and some fun new chipboard. The strawberries I threaded some bakers twine in cotton candy through my clear buttons to jazz them up a bit. I also wove some pink velvet through the frame and added some buttons. From there I grabbed me some of my fave fave two tone ribbon in fuschia and mixed it with a bit of the two tone ribbon in pink .

Scor-Tape is a great adhesive to add ribbons and trims to your projects. It comes in a variety of sizes so there is a perfect size for any width of ribbon or trim.

Ephemera keepsake box

Hi everyone, this is Sandee waving to you from the beautiful hills of North Carolina :)

Where it is hot, hot, HOT!

I have really been enjoying all the wonderful projects that RRR DT has been showing us and I am in love with that Stay Put Craft Mat, and I think I need it! How about you? Yes? I thought so! Me too!!

I would love to share one of my favorite places to visit, which is the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. I love walking the grounds and taking plenty of pictures, and what better way to display a current favorite picture and a place to store my Biltmore ephemera than an Easel Picture Box!

I also love texture, and burlap just makes me happy when creating any nature project. I used the Burlap Woven Ribbon Natural to make a handle pull on the drawer and as a stop for the easel frame. I love how the end of burlap just frays for that rustic look!

My Scor-buddy really helped in creating nice sharp edges for my box, but this was first time using the Scor Pal tape, and I love how well it worked! You can read more about making a Picture Frame easel box and how I cheated making it, on my blog. ;) Yes, I admit to my cheats! :)

Stamping, Water Misting using Stay Put Craft Mat

Hello all!Linda here today with stamping and misting tutorial using Stay Put Craft Mat. Let me tell you... this craft mat is super awesome and durable! If you like to paint using acrylic and water, and create art here and there, then this craft is definitely for you!
For this tutorial, the material that I use are watercolor crayon, cling stamp, stamp pad, water spray, and watercolor paper.

Color stamp with watercolor crayon and spray throughout the image;

Stamp onto watercolor paper and let air dry

For more vintage look, distress edge with dye ink using circular motion, starting from the outer part of the paper going to the center area...

To create the ground, tear scrap paper and apply distress ink onto the paper as shown below;

Once done, you may embellish your card as you wish... and here is how mine looks;

I combine two pretty ribbons on top of the card; Jute Ribbon Lime and one of the July kit ribbons. These ribbons are absolutely stunning!

Hello Friend!

Hello everyone & happy Saturday! It's Emily here from Create Serendipity with a quick little post for the weekend.

If you couldn't tell by now, I LOVE to make bright & cheery projects. When I go shopping, I am always drawn to the bright colored papers & ribbons. I had a Springtime paper collection laying around but wanted to make a fun summer friendship mini album, so that's what I did!

I like to use paints, mists, inks, etc when I craft and those get REALLY messy. Though I have a glass top desk, sometimes it's harder to keep clean. My new best friend is my Scor-Pal stay put craft mat!

This craft mat is much better than any other on the market (trust me, I own them). This one actually stays FLAT while you're working and doesn't slide all over your desk! Great to use when you are stamping, misting, inking, painting, etc.

It just wipes right off with a paper towel! It really came in handy when I made this mini album, as you can see, I got out the acrylic paint and did some painting on the edges.
