Bless This Nest Greeting Card

Spring is in the air friends. Not here..but somewhere I'm sure it's warm and the birds are singing.  We're still at freezing temps and snow on the ground so I'm making my own spring by creating with this lovely nature inspired paper collection.

 Of course this has inspired me to load up the card with gorgeous flowers.

Lucky for me RRR has just the right ribbons and twine for every project I make and this is no exception.

The Celery Green Chevron Twill is one of my favorites for coordinating with florals.

I've added this little arrangement over altered chipboard to bulk it up and I think the flourish is a perfect addition.

More chipboard for the top of the focal image...this time finished in white to enhance the doily. It adds so much texture!!!

A few fussy cut stamps and a wooden clip finish off this card.

Find Joy Greeting Card

Hey there Peeps! Just dropping in with a greeting card so full of homespun country charm. 

 Yellow is not always my go to color.....but I'm quite please with it this time paired with warm woodsy brown.

 

Since it's a countrified card, I'm adding burlap flowers and twine for a natural texture. Of course I added other more stylized flowers too to complete the arrangement.

This chevron ribbon makes the most perfect bow and topped off with the fancy brad, it's just that much more awesome.

I always like the inside of my cards to be finished to coordinate with the outside.

If one die cut doily is good......then two must be better right? Last but not least a little clip and this card is ready to make someones day!

Little Birdie Loves You All Occaion Greeting Card by Ginny

Hey there Peeps! I'm dropping in this morning to share a sweet greeting card that's perfect for just about any occasion with a simple greeting, gorgeous bird images, altered chipboard and of course ribbon trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This color combination is really on trend but I'm keeping the vintage vibe going with the large floral background and details like the pearl headed pins.

This bow is created with Chevron Striped Twill in Pink topped off with Ivory Burlap String. I've also added some Magnolia flowers for added depth.

 The altered chipboard bird cage is extra girly with the curvy lines and helps to separate the busy patterns.

Anniversary Greeting Card

Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here and I'm dropping in to share a card I created for a special couple in our family who has a milestone Anniversary coming up. I chose to use more textures rather than patterned papers for this project and the ribbon trim and pretty printed tag are just the right finishing touches.

The Chevron Striped Twill in  Pink is scrumptious with the large dimensional flower. There's also a bit of Ivory Burlap String tucked in for accent.

You Make Me Super Happy Card

Hey there Paper Peeps! Well it's finally feeling like Spring here this week in Michigan...despite having snow last weekend. Now I'm in the mood for some brighter colors and summer themed images.  I created a fun and carefree card with my fave Chevron Ribbon from RRR and combined it with funky papers from Simple Stories and gorgeous Petaloo Blooms.

Light Blue Chevron Striped Twill and Light Blue Burlap String coordinate perfectly with my summer inspired greeting card that would be perfect for just about any occasion..

1 Digital Collage Sheet - 4 Projects

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here and I'm dropping in to share some projects I created using a digital collage sheet from my shop.   I really got to thinking about taking 1 sheet....but using it in different ways to show what great flexibility they really have.

For my first card I printed the image in it's original size.....then cut 2 tag shapes from it to create a layered focal image.....

I couldn't ask for a better match for the flowers in the image than Mulberry Cottage Rose Flowers (available again soon) and the Chevron Stripe on Twill on Pink ribbon.

I generally don't put a sentiment on the outside of my cards as I like for them to be more all occasion...but this little Birthday image  stamped on a basic banner shape was just the perfect neutral addition to break up the busy patterns. 

I am a big fan of spacers between layers to add extra depth. I've also really distressed the edges.

The finishing touch for this card was altered chipboard feathers with glitter and micro beads and some cheesecloth with inking to coordinate.

For the next card I printed the image large enough to be substituted for regular patterned paper. Partnered with a coordinating stripe it covers the entire front of the card.

Once again I was able to pull the ribbon and flowers from my Really Reasonable Ribbon supplies to coordinate perfectly with the printed image.  Pink Wrinkle Ribbon, Trellis Roses, and Sweetheart Blossoms. I always love brown and pink together....such a classic combination.

This card is finished inside with coordinating patterned paper.

I've added the sentiment to the front again....it's just kinda crazy day!!!

This small arrangement is very offset to work around the printed image...but it still balances very well because of the busy pattern. To finish my bow I added a real vintage button and 2 pearly headed stick pins.

On to the 3rd card......I printed the image just a bit smaller and used it as a focal image layered on a diecut frame. Landscape orientation is another thing I do not do too often....but hey I'm walking on the wild side today!

I am a girl who is very passionate about a good chevron ribbon lol.  This is Chevron Stripe on Twill in Blue to coordinate with the image and paper. I first started with one bow and tried moving some flowers around to create an arrangement....but it just wasn't quite right so I added another bow and topped them off with Burlap String in Light  Blue and it was perfection.

I love these simple  poofy bows finished  off a matching button tied with string.

As you can see the distress tool got a lot of use for these projects. It adds so much texture especially when adding chipboard spacers to the layers.  There are a few light gray pearly accents to finish the corners and coordinating paper inside.

Okay....last but not least is my take on CAS...which I will be the first to admit...I do struggle with. My eyeball was twitching not being able to add lots of layers. But I am pleased with the outcome...and it was super fast to put together....you could make elebenty hundred of them in no time flat..so I can see this style of crafting appealing to someone who needs a lot of cards fast..like thank yous or invitations. Also this is an A2 sized card so I printed the image a bit smaller.

A simple not so poofy bow with a few flowers was really just right for this size card. This Topaz Blue Ribbon with Grosgrain Edge is super yummy!!!! More pretty matching flowers to top off the bow. I added the sentiment just by simply stamping it right onto the corner of the printed image.

Okay...I'm not saying I want to do it again any time soon....but the CAS card did not actually kill me....so I'm not counting them out totally.

For a Special Friend

Hey there Paper Peeps!  Ginny here to share a very special card I created for my dear friend and crafty conspirator Jennifer.  We go wayyyyyy back to when our kids were little. We actually both have an Alexander (same age now and nearly done with college) and a Jonathan (one year apart and  nearly done with high school.)   So we've sat together at  more football practices and band performances and scout meetings than you can count. We even have matching stadium outfits lol. Anyhoo....she's a very special friend and I'm so glad she had a nice birthday!

 

I'm using the gorgeous Turquoise Chevron Striped Twill to wrap the card and make a little topper for the tag.
