spooky...

Love this time of year...the shades of orange against the black and white accents are just what I crave. Used a little diamond satin ribbon and lace to make this Halloween project extra special. Created a mini card and envelope that will be used as a little treat pocket. It is just amazing how a touch of ribbon and trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon can make any project complete!

Altered Project & Tutorial

Good morning everyone!  Angi here with a tutorial and an altered project using Really Reasonable Ribbon red gingham ribbon and red satin double ruffle ribbon.

My kitchen is a chef theme with red, black, & white sprinkled all over.  I made this altered frame to add more fun to the space.  Here are some quick and easy instructions to make one of your own.

1. Use a 9" x 9" Ikea - "Ribba" frame. You can easily take it apart and alter it any way that you like.

2. Cut a piece of embossed cardstock to 9" x 9". I used Bazzill - Wallpaper "Raven" embossed cardstock.

3. Use adhesive and secure the embossed cardstock to the back base of the frame.

4. Take off the backing of your vinyl and position it in the center of your embossed cardstock. I used an old credit card to rub over the vinyl and secured it to the paper. The vinyl that I used is from Stampin Up!

5. Now that your vinyl is secure, peel away the top sheet.

6. Your vinyl should now lay flat and smooth against the embossed cardstock. Add your favorite RRR Ribbon. Now assemble your frame back together and your project is done.

I hope you found inspiration from my project.
Be sure to visit the RRR Store to scoop up some ribbon goodies.

Guest Designer - Gloria Stengel

Hello, everyone! My name is Gloria Stengel, from Scraps of Life, and I'm your Really Reasonable Ribbon Guest Designer for today! I was thrilled when Bonnie asked me to help out this month because I'm a huge fan of ribbon! And an even bigger fan of Really Reasonable Ribbon! (Especially that "reasonable" part!)

I've created four projects for you. You can see two here, and two on my blog! How is that for some extra ribbon fun?! Here is project #1.

I created a simple and elegant card by using the brown ribbon from the Autumn Diamond Satin Assortment and Glubers to create a rolled ribbon rose. That chocolate brown makes my mouth water!

I added some pearls for dramatic interest to the rolled rose. Creating these spectacular roses is so easy, when you use the Glubers adhesive! You simply stick, roll, twist!

For my next project I used two different ribbons, plus some baker's twine!

I stamped the image and colored her with Copic Markers, then, I created layers of paper and ribbon to make this fun "all star" card!

I wrapped the card with a layer of Black Silk, then a layer of golden yellow ribbon from the Autumn Diamond Satin Assortment, and finished off by wrapping Black Licorice Baker's Twine around everything. I tied the ticket on with more Baker's Twine. I also used a bit of Ranger Distress Ink to color the twine, so that it would be more cream and less white.

The ribbon made it an All Star card!

Here are some sneak peeks of two more cards you can see if you visit my blog today!

I hope you enjoyed my visit with you!

~ Gloria

oh alice...

Alice in Wonderland is one of my all time favorite movies. There is something so sweet, yet a little crazy about her adventure that always seems to draw me in. So when I saw these cards from Graphic 45 I fell in love! Went to work creating these treat bags from brown paper bags, a variety of paper, felt and of course the lovely ribbon and trims. The bright orange checkered ribbon is from this month's ribbon club, jute string in both black and orange and a touch of lace trim.Andrea
