May Blog Hop Winner!

This is the second post of the day. Be sure to scroll down to see the beautiful project that Sarah has made for us today.

Thank you so much for hopping along with us this month on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Blog Hop. We had so much fun and we hope you did too!! We'll be hopping on the 13th of each month, so be sure to mark your calendars and join us again next month.

Well, we had a mix of answers to our question of the month which asked 'What type of crafter are you?'  It seems that the crafters that have multiple UFO's lying around outnumber those who start a project and stick with it until completion.  I've got my own growing pile of UFO's!

Now, on to our winner who will receive the May Ribbon Club Assortment along with the other fun goodies shown here which are all available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The winner will have 48 hours to contact me by clicking on the contact button at the top of the blog and sending me your full name and shipping address.

Gathered Ribbon Tutorial!!

Hello, it's Connie!! I have a super simple ribbon tutorial for you today - a Gathered Ribbon Tutorial!

To make the gathered ribbon, you will need some double sided sticky tape. Here I am using 3/4" scor-tape, and some 1" Spring Green Satin Ribbon with a Grosgrain edge.

Tear off a piece of tape the length that you need, and start adhering the ribbon to the tape in a random gathered line.

Here you can see the back of the ribbon once you are finished.

Here is what your final outcome will look like!

See! Told you it was super easy!

Now onto the rest of the deets of my card! The image is from Kitchen Sink Stamps Multi Step Tulip Garden image. I stamped the image with the following steps: Step 1: So Saffron, Step 2: Apricot Appeal, Step 3: Pumpkin Pie, Step 4: Tangerine Tango. The green was stamped with Old olive.

Thanks so much for visiting today! Have a great week!

Connie

Challenge #24 "Anything Goes" Theme

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge here at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Please scroll down to the next post for the winners of the last challenge.

The theme for Challenge #24 is "Anything Goes".

Create a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hair bow, you name it. Just be sure to follow the theme above and use ribbon/lace or trim somewhere on your project.

We are thrilled to have Inky Antics as our sponsor for this challenge.
Inky Antics was founded in 1997 by Jackie Lewis, a middle school teacher from St. Paul, Minnesota, who discovered stamping the previous year and immediately (but willingly) fell under its magical spell.
Jackie says "I stumbled across rubber stamping while looking for activities I could share with my students during homeroom, but little did I realize that I'd become completely hooked myself!" she recalls. "It allows me to express my artistic side, even though I can't draw at all. There are so many creative possibilities to explore with stamps."
And explore she did. Jackie transformed her love for stamping into a cottage industry--hiring artists, taking care of all the business details, and assembling her products at the kitchen table.
Today, Inky Antics stamps are manufactured in Cleveland, Ohio, under the ownership of Ted Cutts. Jackie works for the company as its Creative Director, and our growing team is proud to continue providing our customers with inspiring designs, high quality stamps, and excellent service.

Inky Antics is offering a $25.00 Gift Certificate good towards wood mount or clear Inky stamps to one randomly selected challenge participant. How awesome is that!!

Here is a little inspiration from our design team for challenge #24 to get you started. All of the sample projects include images from Inky Antics and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

We will be announcing the winners on 6/1.

Here's what you need to do:

* Create a new project using the posted theme. A layout, card, ATC, home decor item, hair bow, or anything your can think of.
* You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide newly designed projects. No back-linking please.
* All projects must also include some sort of ribbon/lace/trim.
* Post your project on your blog or an online gallery (using code RRR24) and link it here with the Inlinkz tool below. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
* You have until May 29th at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects.

Thanks so much for playing and good luck.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customise > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog till you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)

Time Flies

For the May RRR Blog Hop, please click here or scroll down.

Hi everyone!  Misty here, and I did a little layout to share with you all.  This used three different Really Reasonable Ribbons on it!  I loved how it came together, and it was EXACTLY what I needed to give this layout the impact that it needed.  I was shooting for an elegant "vintagy" feel to the layout to encompass the marriage theme and that it is an old one.  SEVENTEEN YEARS old to be exact!  LOL
I used:
scalloped purple trim
Estelle White Crochet Lace
Aqua Baker's twine

The lavender trim gave the elegant feeling while the lace an the baker's twine encompassed the vintage, and together, the three made a "Perfect Marriage" into this layout!

Next time you need a little extra "OOOMPH" to your layout, take a look into your ribbon/lace stash!  You might be surprised at what you will find that will work!

I hope I have inspired you all today!!!
Be sure to come back tomorrow...the new CHALLENGE will be posted...
YEAH BABY!!!
I LOVE a good challenge!

Now, be sure to leave some love at all the stops along the way. Your comments are most appreciated!

At the end of the hop, comment on this post answering the question below for a chance to win our May Ribbon Club assortment and the extra goodies shown below.

Our question of the month is:

What is your crafting personality?  Do you have one project going at a time or are you working on twenty different things at once?  How many UFO's (unfinished objects) are floating around your craft space?

Our winner will be selected from the numbered comments on this post on Tuesday, 5/17 using random.org. Be sure to check back on Tuesday evening to see if you are our lucky winner.

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. We hope you'll stop by and so some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon soon.
