Pumpkin Season Greetings

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  My favorite season of the year is right around the corner!  That's right!  It's almost Pumpkin Season!  I could not wait to celebrate, so I broke into my August Ribbon Club to make this cheery greeting card.

Layered ribbon makes pretty double borders on this cheery card.  First, put down a layer of Russet Orange Taffeta Ribbon.  I like to adhere my ribbon with Scor-tape.  If you leave the ends long, you can wrap the ribbon around the back side of the card panel, which makes a lovely, neat edge.  Then adhere a layer of  Gold Edged Cappuccino Satin Ribbon to bring just the right amount of sparkle.  I've also used this for my bows, along with some natural burlap string, which is perfect for fall cards.

You can turn a card into a gift by adding a pocket to the inside.  Then use scraps of your paper collection to create a little gift card wallet.

If you add a pocket to the gift card wallet, you can also tuck in a little  Pumpkin Spice Chai! It's always lovely to have something warm to sip on a chilly autumn day.

Wishing you all joy and creativity!
Kathy

Do Small Things with Great Love Fall Card by Cherry Nelson

Hello RRR peeps, Cherry here today on the RRR blog. Have you been getting some crafty time in with everything going on?  I hope so!  It has been so hot lately, over 100 today and it has me thinking of cooler September days.

I love this color combination.

I created this card using the August Monthly Ribbon Club assortment, which I kinda have almost completely used up.  I love it so!  I also used flowers from the store along with some twine for a rustic touch.  I hope you are all staying healthy and safe!

Bumblebee Upcycled Gift Box and Card

Hello RRR peeps!  Cherry here today to show a fun upcycle project.  I have always had a thing for bumblebees....and I adore yellow so I never tire of the combination of the two.  I had this Bert's Bees soap box that had cute embossed bees on it and decided to create a gift box with it.  Of course I had to create a matching card.

I used this month's RRR Ribbon Club Assortment, which was a perfect combination of ribbon for this project.

I added some pretty paper handmade flowers that I diecut and shaped.  I used stamens from the RRR store.

As always, thanks for visiting!   xoxo, cherry

Botanical Joy Fold Shaker Card Folio

Hello, Friends!  Have you had a chance to play with the Sunflower Assortment of Ribbons from the August Club yet?  These bright and bold ribbons are perfect for botanical themed cards and folios like this Joy Fold Shaker Card Folio.

I chose to use the 5/8" Forest Green Plaid, 3/8" Diamond Satin, 3/8" Yellow and Green Argyle Satin and the Random Lines Satin ribbon (which made me think of bamboo.)  These colors and patterns speak strongly of green grass, sunshine, trees and flowers.  And that's what this little joy fold folio is all about.

Forest Green Plaid Ribbon makes a great ribbon closure!  Simply adhere the ribbon with 1/2" Scor-Tape.

Tuck spots, pockets and flip pages make this folio lots of fun to open.  Nature inspired papers and ribbon make it beautiful to behold.

Top a bookmark with an assortment of 3'8" ribbons from the Club.

Tie a square knot to hold this Argyle print tag topper in place.

Here's a look at the folio fully opened.  Create a hidden pocket by adhering just the sides and bottom of the joy fold card to the base.  (Find a tutorial for this style of fancy fold card HERE.)

Score and fold a large ivory tag to create a unique photo insert for the hidden pocket.

I hope I've inspired you to get out your August Ribbon Club and make something beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Dreams Autumn Sunset Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Fall is peeping around the corner, so it's time to break out your August Ribbon Club Assortment.  Today's Sweet Dream Autumn Sunset card is loaded with fall imagery, gorgeous mixed media texture and of course, beautiful ribbons and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I am loving the plaid ribbons in the August Club.  This 3/8" brown/ivory plaid is the perfect accent for this 5 1/2" square card.  Ribbon is a lovely way to add texture to your cards and layouts.

After tying this 2 1/2" double loop bow with my Zutter Bow-it-All Tool, I topped it with Mixed Earth Tone Cottage Roses from Wild Orchard Crafts.  These little 25mm roses are the perfect size to add to a bow cluster.

Inside the card, I added some pretty paper layers and a pocket.

Then I used my scraps to make this little tea bag wallet.

You could also use this as a gift card holder if you did not want to add the tea.

Fall is my favorite season of the year, so I am really enjoying the August Ribbon Club assortment.  After the hot summer we've endured here in North Carolina, I hope you will forgive me for wanting crisp autumn days and cooler autumn nights!

Wishing you a day filled with joy and creativity!

Garden Themed Shaker Easel Card with August Ribbon Club Assortment

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Have you seen the gorgeous August Ribbon Club Assortment yet?  Ooh la la!  It's a beauty!  I love the fact that the ribbons can be used for our upcoming fall themed projects, but they are also fabulous for end of summer card making.  Take a peep at this pretty "Life Began in a Garden" Easel Shaker Card.

I found so many wonderful ways to use the ribbons from the club assortment on this card.  To create my border, I layered 3/8" Sunflowers on Kiwi Grosgrain Ribbon over  Crochet Lace. Another snippet of the same crochet lace is tucked beneath a trio of my cherished vintage ivory buttons.

This double layer bow cluster is made with cheery Dandelion Diamond Stitch Satin Ribbon and adorable 3/8" Sunflowers on Grograin Ribbon.   It's the perfect color match for my pretty mulberry flowers. Naturally, I tied all my bows with my Zutter Bow it All Tool.  That tool gets a daily workout in my studio, and I love it!

Here's a peek at the inside.  I added a couple of little pockets to the upper portion of the card.

Then I tucked in a little lavender sachet and magnet set.  Just for fun!

Wishing you all a day filled with lots of joy and creativity!

Looking Forward to Fall with Autumn Harvest Ribbons

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Kathy here, and I sensed a change in the weather on my morning walk today. There was a crispness in the air and a gorgeous bright blue sky overhead.  Clearly, it's time to pull out my RRR Autumn Harvest Ribbon Club Assortment!

This is a tall, skinny card measuring 4.25" wide x 7" tall.  I created the pocket on the front this time. I'm a huge fan of the Moss/Cream Plaid ribbons in this month's assortment.  They are just perfect for fall!

Here's a look at the card with the tag removed.  The torn paper edge is inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, and I love the rustic look it adds to the card.

I've topped the tag with some crochet lace from the ribbon club assortment and more of that pretty plaid ribbon.  Then I inked up some WOC Earth Tone Chrysanthemum and Cosmos Daisies with Distress Oxide Inks to pump up the golden hues.

A small folio/treat pocket is inside the card.  I created a closure with 3/8" moss/cream plaid ribbon, also from the Ribbon Club Assortment.

The folio is just the right size to use up little scraps of designer paper...and to hold an individually wrapped chocolate.  I think this will make a great fall birthday card, don't you?

Wishing you a sunny day filled with lots of time to create!

Hugs,
kathy

Watercolor Lifting

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing details about my card for our current
 Challenge #147 - Buttons & Bows.
I used the Watercolor Lifting Technique at Splitcoaststampers for my card. Basically, you create a watercolor wash, emboss an image with VersaMark and Clear Embossing Powder, and then remove as much color as you like with more water and a brush or rag. It's such a fun look! I made my "wash" pretty deep hued, as I knew I would be taking a lot of the color off. The embossed images hold the depth of original color.

I added some Doodlebug Sequins to my flower middles, and then created a fun pleated ribbon center using the August Ribbon Club from Really Reasonable Ribbon, as well as Green Apple Baker's Twine in the center of my button.

Come play along at RRR!

Warm and Cozy Autumn Card

Hello everyone.  It's Dana from Got Joy Creations and I'm one of the newest members of the design team.  First I would to thank Bonnie for extending this invitation to me.  I was thrilled when I received her email.  I have been a long time fan of Really Reasonable Ribbon and Bonnie.  Now let's take a look at my first project.

I love anything and everything fall.  The cool crisp mornings and the chilly fall evenings.  The best part is snuggling up on the couch with a cup of hot cocoa.  Oh the life!  I picked ribbon from the August ribbon kit that includes some fabulous autumn diamond print grosgrain ribbon and the beautiful arianna natural crochet lace.  I have used the autumn diamond print ribbon on so many of my fall projects.  The colors work so well with this time of year.

Here's a close up of my bow using the crochet lace ribbon.  Isn't that ribbon a-mazing?  I love the feel and the texture it provides to my projects.  It reminds me of a warm fall sweater.  Makes me want to curl up with it.  LOL  I used my Bow-It-All to make my double bow.  This tool is a life saver as I am so bow challenged.  ;-) I paired my ribbon with some fall paper and a cute image I colored using my Copic markers.

That's my first project fans.  I hope you enjoyed yourself today.  Make sure to swing by again tomorrow to see more inspiration from Kathy.  Have a fabulous day everyone.

Dana

Fall Photo Calendar with Graphic 45

Hi, it's Teresa here today on this beautiful Monday to share a special calendar that I did for a wonderful person who has the cutest chickens I know.  Sometimes finding the perfect paper and trying to make something special for someone can be great inspiration and I think she is going to really love this.  At least I hope so.  So the ribbons this month for the August Monthly Ribbon Club  started this too.  They are gorgeous and went perfect with the papers that I had in my stash from G45.  And I added a few more that I loved too.

So you can tell that all the fall colors in the paper really went good!  For the front of the book I made that huge flower by gathering up the White Jute Ribbon  and added another gathered row of   Ivory Tulle  and then on top of that I put twine and flowers.  I also made a really pretty bow with the Green Seam Binding Ribbon from the shop.

Here is page two in the calendar.  I love all the rich colors and the ivory seam binding went great for it just as a bow at the bottom of the page.

For this page I tied a piece of the rich Red Burgandy Diamond Satin Ribbon with a flower.

This page I kept really simple and just added some flowers from my stash.  There are lots of gorgeous flowers in the shop that you can see here and I think it's time for an order for me too.

And lastly I put the biggest rooster to end the year on just by fussy cutting him out and layering him on the page with the calendar pieces and some Baker's Twine that you can see here and comes in lots and lots of colors... could use them all myself and it's a nice thing to have on hand.

That's it for today and hope you got inspired to make something fun for someone special in your life and don't forget to check out all the gorgeous ribbons this month.  It's going to be fun this fall.

Big Hugs....Teresa

You Are Beautiful

Sometimes the card inspires the ribbon and other times the ribbon inspires the card.

In this case I saw this beautiful ribbon from the August Ribbon Club and knew exactly what color my card base was going to be...
