That's Love Layout

Do you have some special memories that need to be documented?  It is so easy to create a layout to capture those moments.
On this layout I not only created an abstract background, but I add softness with some gorgeous ribbons and jute by Really Reasonable Ribbons.  These pair beautifully with vintage embellishments and lace.   I used the Ivory Taffeta Ribbon and the Ivory Burlap String for the bow.
For the lace accent, that goes perfectly with the beautiful vintage piece from my Grandma, I used Danielle Lace.
I then added one of my favorite photos of our little guy... who now that he is grown I look up into his face.  But this is the face that I see even now that he is an adult.  Isn't it funny how time goes by so quickly, but one's child will still be their baby for a life time!
I hope this inspires you to capture those memories no matter how long ago they happened.

Family Memories Retro Mini Album

Hello, it's Karen Letchworth posting today!  I'm so glad you're here today as I share a sweet mini album I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I used lots of my much-loved and cherished October Afternoon patterned papers, stickers, and goodies.  As most of you probably know, October Afternoon went out of business several years ago.  I always went to their annual warehouse sales to stock up on papers and such; and while I do have a lot of their  product, I know it won't last forever.  But for today, I'm sharing some of it with you in this little mini album all adorned with FABULOUS touches from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
All my patterned papers, stickers, doilies, journalling spots, etc. were attached using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  I love this Adhesive because it comes in several widths to accommodate all my projects, and it really holds together to stand the test of time.  Once all my papers were securely in place, I got busy with the embellishing.  For the cover, I made a bow cluster that includes Bay Leaf Seam Binding, Red Lipstick Seam Binding, and is topped with some Red, White, Pink, Teal and Black Double Head Stamens, and some darling Sweetheart Blossoms.   Here's a close-up of the bow on the cover.
The next page (like most of the pages in this mini album) is primarily designed as a photo mat.  I try not to put SO much stuff on and in my mini albums that it becomes impossible to actually place photos inside.  I also like the pockets with tags so that you can do some journalling, or tuck in extra photos and trinkets.  For this page, I simply added some more of the adorable Sweetheart Blossoms in pink, red and blue.  Yes, they come in every color of the rainbow...and then some!
Page three is another photo mat (a tea-stained doily), and I added a journalling card topped with some looped Ivory Burlap String and Light Blue Burlap String, two Mulberry Leaves, and some Open Roses in the upper left corner including a Red Open Rose, a Royal Blue Open Rose, and a Deep Ivory Open Rose.  I also hid some Pink, Light Blue, Red and White Double Head Stamens in the little bow/flower cluster.  Then, for the tag that's tucked into this page, I added a tab that includes a snippet of Blue Center-Stitched Burlap and 1/4" Red Chevron Striped Twill that are topped with a red Fabric Covered Button from our Embellishments section.
Flip to the next page, and again you will see the Blue Center-Stitched Burlap and 1/4" Red Chevron Striped Twill peeking through from the previous page, and it's topped with a black Fabric Covered Button from our Embellishments section.  There's also some fun washi tape, and a length of Natural Crochet Lace on this page leaving plenty of room for a couple more photos.
The fifth and final page has a fun antique gumball machine and sentiments (stickers) and a blue button tied with Cherry Baker's Twine and Ivory Burlap String.  And finally, I tied some Solid Ivory Baker's Twine to the tag.  I still think Baker's Twine is a must-have in every color!  Really Reasonable Ribbon's prices are so reasonable (hence, the awesome name...LOL) that you can pick up quite a bit of product without hurting your wallet (or hubby's).  Trims like Baker's Twine, Burlap String (borth just 10 cents/yard) and Seam Binding (30 cents/yard) are SO affordable, and SO wonderful!
That's it for my little mini album today.  I sure hope you'll stop back by soon for lots more inspiration and to keep up-to-date about special sales and promotions, and our monthly Blog Hop.  There's always something happening here, and we appreciate your visits.
Ribbons, trims, and embellishments add so much texture and personality to your cards and projects, and Really Reasonable Ribbon truly is the best place to get them.  Take a peek, and treat yourself.

Thanks again for stopping by,
Karen

Shaking Things Up with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lover's !  It's Kathy here today with some fun ways to use ribbon.

Of course, we all love to add texture, dimension and pattern to our cards.  Beautiful bows are the easiest way I know of to do this.   This Sherbet Checkerboard Satin Ribbon ties beautiful bows!  Top it with some Silver Metallic String and you've added another layer of texture and shine.

But ribbon also makes a beautiful border added to the top or side of a card.  This 5/8" Vintage Floral Print Satin Ribbon looks great layered down the side of the card.  Using 1/2" Scor-Tape makes this really quick and easy to do.

Ribbon looks great inside a card, too!  I love this sweet little border strip and bow made with 3/8" Pink and Purple Vertical Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon. It makes this card feel like a party is going on!

Add a ribbon border to this little gift tag, top it with a Sherbet Checkerboard Satin Bow, and you're really rocking the ribbon!  A scrap of that Vintage Flora Print ribbon looks great tied onto a honey stick, too!

Ribbon also makes a great closure for this gift card holder.  I attached 3/8" Shocking Pink Quatrefoil Print Satin to the back of the gift card holder with 1/4" Scor-Tape.  After the ribbon is attached, use more Scor-Tape to adhere it to the card base.  Tie a bow, and you've got a mighty cute gift card holder!

Here's a peek at the inside.

I hope I've shared some fresh ideas for ways to use ribbon in your card making adventures.  You can find all the ribbons used here in the RRR June Ribbon Club Assortment.

Thanks for stopping by!
Cheerio,
kathy

Easy Art Canvas with Felt Flowers and Ribbon Stems

Hi friends! Linsey here today sharing my latest project using some great trims from RRR! I created an inspiring and uplifting art canvas with felt flowers and ribbon stems!
The felt was cut with flower and leaf dies with clear sticker sentiments placed in the larger flower centers. The smaller flowers have double-layered button centers tied together with Burlap String Black and Burlap String Yellow. The stems of the large flowers were made using long strips of 1/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon Parrot Green. I adore this ribbon. It's so versatile and coordinates with just about everything. I like how the white/green diagonal stripes create a nice visual interest along with the green felt petals.
The chicken wire fence was done with a honeycomb metal die and I like how it turned out too. The main background is just a 12x12 piece of designer patterned paper and a few additional details like the butterflies and enamel dots were added to complete the canvas.
This was a really fun project for me to share today nd I hope you enjoyed it too! Thanks so much for visiting and until next time, happy crafting! 😊

Pretty Feminine Birthday Card

Hi there ribbon and mulberry flower lovers!  Bonnie here today with a pretty birthday card that would be perfect for your bestie.  It showcases some pretty Open Roses and ribbon from the June Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Mulberry Flowers are such a wonderful way to add some real 'pizazz' to your projects quickly and easily.  The best part is that they are so economically priced!
Check out our full line of Mulberry Flowers HERE.
On my card today I simply selected some pink 15mm Open Roses to add under my sentiment panel.  I used a needle tool and coiled the stem around that and pulled gently to separate the coils a bit.  I then glued the flowers in a curve under my sentiment.  I tucked some 15mm Mulberry Rose Leaves on either end.
My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two of the ribbons from the June Ribbon Club Assortment.  I also layers two ribbons from the assortment and ran that across the center of the card under my sentiment.  The center of my bow is topped with a pretty 10mm Resin Flower Embellishment.

For a video tutorial on how to make this pretty bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

Manly Card using Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Cheryl here today with a card designed not only for my Dear Hubby but also for Really Reasonable Ribbon as I used some of the ribbon and Jute that Really Reasonable Ribbon carries. Right now the Jute is on SALE there are 2 different colors left of this one I used in the black, perfect time to pick some up.

So for my card today, I wanted it to match the Quilt I made dear hubby for Fathers Day, so this one I used fabric from the quilt on each layer, and added the sewing to hold it in place. Love how it turned out, and Hubby LOVED it too. All three layers are fabric and card stock in black. I thought the Jute Ribbon was perfect to use on this, as I  really didnt want to add a bow for his manly card....hehehehee even though part of me wanted too....hahahaha.  Anyway, I also was able to add in some of Really Reasonable Ribbon's pretty Red Satin Checkerboard ribbon, and then added a silver button.

On each layer of cardstock I did add some white dots, as I love using the white dots on black card stock. The OLD GUYS RULE is also a fabric piece I fussy cut out of the fabric. I will add a photo of hubby with his quilt on my blog for all to see, so if you would like to see the quilt, it will be posted here. Thank you.

The stamps are from ODBD, and I bought these a few years back I believe, and wanted to use this for my card.

Hope you enjoyed my card for today, and Thank you for stopping by!
Hugs to all,
