Umbrella Drinks Tropical Tri Fold Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Why don't you come sit by the pool for a bit and sip on a refreshing beverage while I tell you all about this fun little folio?

This 5 1/2" square folio feels like a summer pool party .  I've surrounded the center shaker box with pretty white flowers, chipboard elements, loopy Ivory Burlap String bow,  and a vibrant Apple Green Sheer Ribbon with Satin Center Bow.  The ribbon is part of the Sizzlin' Summer Ribbon Mix from the July Ribbon Club.  People, these are the colors of summer!

The Acid Green Random Dot Grosgrain Ribbon from the Ribbon Club adds a punch of summer color to the little tags that I've scattered throughout the folio.  I've also used it to make borders on my pockets.

When fully opened, this little folio looks and feels like a party is going on!  From left to right we have a waterfall page, a pocket with photo mount inserts, a dimensional treat/tag pocket and a magnetic flip page.

After topping each little tag with ribbon, I've adhered the bottom edge to the page so that a photo can be tucked in behind.

The pocket page is decorated with a cute little fussy cut banner.  I've tucked 4" x 4" photo mounts into the pocket.

The flap page is decorated with  tropical chippies and has a magnetic closure.

Look how cute the Acid Green Random Dots ribbon looks as a border on the pocket page inside the flap!  I just love adding ribbon to the inside of a project like this.

The center treat pocket hosts a trio of tags: two large pocket tags and one petite tag.  Adding a bit of ribbon to the top of the tags really makes them look finished.

I hope your summer has been filled with fun and a little poolside relaxation!

Shaking Things Up with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello, Ribbon Lover's !  It's Kathy here today with some fun ways to use ribbon.

Of course, we all love to add texture, dimension and pattern to our cards.  Beautiful bows are the easiest way I know of to do this.   This Sherbet Checkerboard Satin Ribbon ties beautiful bows!  Top it with some Silver Metallic String and you've added another layer of texture and shine.

But ribbon also makes a beautiful border added to the top or side of a card.  This 5/8" Vintage Floral Print Satin Ribbon looks great layered down the side of the card.  Using 1/2" Scor-Tape makes this really quick and easy to do.

Ribbon looks great inside a card, too!  I love this sweet little border strip and bow made with 3/8" Pink and Purple Vertical Stripe Grosgrain Ribbon. It makes this card feel like a party is going on!

Add a ribbon border to this little gift tag, top it with a Sherbet Checkerboard Satin Bow, and you're really rocking the ribbon!  A scrap of that Vintage Flora Print ribbon looks great tied onto a honey stick, too!

Ribbon also makes a great closure for this gift card holder.  I attached 3/8" Shocking Pink Quatrefoil Print Satin to the back of the gift card holder with 1/4" Scor-Tape.  After the ribbon is attached, use more Scor-Tape to adhere it to the card base.  Tie a bow, and you've got a mighty cute gift card holder!

Here's a peek at the inside.

I hope I've shared some fresh ideas for ways to use ribbon in your card making adventures.  You can find all the ribbons used here in the RRR June Ribbon Club Assortment.

Saddle Up! Masculine All Occasion Card

Hello, Friends!  Have you been enjoying the March Ribbon Club Assortment as much as I have?  I love that the Blue and Brown Assortment of ribbons is so versatile.  Today, I'm using one of the Tan Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain w/Turftan Brown Dots on this masculine "Saddle Up!" card.

Using ribbon on a masculine card can be challenging, but this Tan Grosgrain Ribbon is the perfect accent!  I used my Zutter Bow-it-All Tool to tie that stylish double loop bow beside the focal image.  Then I topped it with some Natural Burlap String.

I also attached a length of this same ribbon along the top edge of both banner flags, then topped it with a vintage button.  It's easy to attach ribbon with Scor-Tape, and it adds lovely texture to any project.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.  I added a gift card pocket, then tucked in a miniature chocolate treat.  I'm pretty sure that even cowboys love chocolate!

This would be a great card to make Dad...and Father's Day will be here before we know it!

Perfectly Purple Thank You Card

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  It's Kathy here with a lovely thank you card made with luscious ribbons from the July Perfectly Purple Ribbon Club Assortment.

Mmmm...I just love all these soft dreamy shades of purple, don't you?

I love to use printed ribbons as borders on my card.  They add a lovely touch of pattern, texture and shine to the design.  This Quatrefoil Print on Delphinium Satin Ribbon looks great with these papers from Kaisercraft's Lilac Whisper Collection.

I created this pretty double bow cluster with Hyacinth Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Metallic String and some roses from my stash.  I'm a huge fan of taffeta ribbon as it ties gorgeous, crisp bows!

Pretty pockets line the inside of this purplicious card.  Chocolate is always a sweet addition to a thank you note.

I cleaned up the scraps on my table to make this lovely little gift card wallet and tag combo.

Using the Quatrefoil Ribbon as a header and footer on this tag adds such a lovely pop of color.  And it looks great on top of the tag, too.

I predict that you're going to love this ribbon club mix of gorgeous purple ribbons!  You can learn more about the Perfectly Purple Ribbon Club Mix and the RRR Monthly Ribbon Club HERE.

Hey, Chickie! Easter Treat Bag

Hello Ribbon Lovers!  There is something special about fluffy little Easter chicks that makes us all go, "Awwwwww, cute."  With that in mind,  I thought it would be fun to work up an Easter Treat Bag using the glorious Welcome Spring Ribbon Club Assortment.  These ribbons are the color of hyacinths and apple blossoms and daffodils, and baby green leaves and all spring colors we love so very much.  Take a peeky:
Totally scrumptious, right?  They made me think of the color palette in the Graphic 45 Sweet Sentiments paper collection.  So I pulled that out of my stash along with a middy bitty kraft bag and went to work.
The colors of this bag make me think of the lilac bushes that used to flourish in my home town when I was growing up in Vermont.  I topped my little bag with a loopy bow tied with glorious purple satin ribbon from the Ribbon Club Assortment.  It is the perfect color match for this collection, and you know how hard it can be to match purple! The tag inside the bag is topped with scrumptious purple/pink plaid ribbon, also from the Ribbon Club Assortment.
Have you seen the beautiful new  English Roses Bonnie is carrying in the shop? I used a purple one as the base for my flower cluster then surrounded it with apple blossoms, sweetheart blossoms and spiral stamens. I tied a teeny tiny bow in the center of my itty bitty button using Ivory Burlap String, and then tucked in some stick pins and a little brass chick charm in for good luck.
I tucked a dressed up in its Easter Best Graphic 45 Staples tag inside the bag, along with an individually wrapped chocolate.  This little Easter Treat Bag would be the perfect little surprise for a friend or co-worker, and it would mail nicely, too.

Best of Luck

Welcome back.  I'm excited to share with you one of the beautiful ribbons which is two-sided in February's Ribbon Club Month assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.com.

Do you know that St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner?  It's Thursday, March 17th,  Thia beautiful green and yellow ribbon assortment would be perfect for those St. Patrick's Day projects or cards.  Really Reasonable Ribbon also sells each ribbon separately from the club assortment as well.
This gorgeous two-sided ribbon is the 3/8" Crosshatch on Emerald Satin Ribbon.  It has the green and white print on one side and the solid emerald green color on the other side.  WOW!

I used my Zutter Bow It All bow maker to make this bow.  This time, I formed one bow and then cut the ribbon to form the other bow and tied the green ribbon around the printed ribbon.  I used the 3/8" Scor-Tape to stick the bow and ribbon onto the card.  Bonnie has a great tutorial to do these bows without cutting the ribbon and would suggest watching her U-Tube video https://www.pinterest.com/pin/175499716706586900/.
If you really love ribbon and would like to have a wonderful assortment of ribbons sent to you automatically each month, just join the Really Reasonable Ribbon Club! Monthly ribbon club assortments are selected and pre-packed to reflect a specific theme, color, or holiday season. The assortments vary from month to month, but an average assortment has 9 different ribbon styles and consists of 16-18 yards of ribbon.  The total price of each monthly assortment is $9.50 and includes the shipping/handling fee too!

I'm so Lucky!

Hi friends.  I'm still playing with my fabulous February 'Gorgeously Green' Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Today I'm sharing a fun St. Paddy's Day themed card.
The sentiment on this card could easily be changed to make a birthday card, thank you card, or whatever you need.  The beautiful dies used on this card are from Cheery Lynn Designs.
For my bow on this card I used a 3/8" ribbon instead of my usual 5/8" width.  Because I still wanted a substantial size bow, I did two loops on each side for each color.  The bow was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0.

For a tutorial on how to create this bi-color bow, please click HERE.
All the ribbons on my card came from the February Ribbon Club Assortment.  This great assortment contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  JOIN TODAY and you can pick up our special deal this month where you can start with the January and February assortments for a special low price.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other products used on this card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.
