I went full on Christmas with this card and it was fun. I love making handmade flowers too, so the poinsettias were made with distress ink paper I made and the centers are Milk White Mini Stamens.
I just love a traditional red and green color palette. It's just so festive.

Hello there ribbon lovers. Bonnie here again today and I'm sharing another fun Kanzashi creation using ribbon and accessories from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I added a pretty gingham Covered Button from Really Reasonable Ribbon to the center of the flower to finish it off.
This Kanzashi Creation was made with all 1-1/2" Solid Grosgrain Ribbons and 1-1/2" Gingham Ribbon using the petal variations in the videos below. While it looks very large in the photo, it only measures a little more than 3" at the widest point. It's the perfect size for an understated hair clip.
I encourage you to give Kanzashi a try. I bet you'll be hooked!

I added a Metal Charm to the center and topped it off with a Flat Back Pearl Embellishment. You can color any white pearl embellishment with Copic Markers or other alcohol inks. No need to keep a variety of colors on hand. Just make up the different colors as you need them.
This Kanzashi Creation was made with all 1-1/2" Solid Grosgrain Ribbons using the petal variation in the video below. While it looks very large in the photo, it only measures a little more than 3-1/4" at the widest point. It's the perfect size for an understated hair clip.
For the top layer of tangerine petals on my project today, I used the technique to create different size petals using all 1-1/2" ribbon squares. You can find that video tutorial HERE. I encourage you to give Kanzashi a try. I bet you'll be hooked!

Hey there ribbon lovers. Do you ever try different types of ribbon crafts? If not, you really should! Woven ribbon headbands are great for that favorite little girl in your life (or even you depending on the ribbon selection) and Kanzashi is great for making hair clips for yourself or even a pin for a jacket or bag. Really Reasonable Ribbon has all the ribbon and accessories you need to dive right in.
I'm using the gorgeous and summery color palette from the July Ribbon Club Assortment. I used the citrus multi-dot grosgrain ribbon in my woven ribbon headband along with two solid colors of 3/8" grosgrain ribbon.
The July Ribbon Club Assortment is a sizzling summer themed collection of ribbon. It contains 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon. Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon. What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.
Since I'm in the process of packing up my craft room to move and don't anticipate unpacking any time soon, I'm going to be doing more work with Kanzashi as I can do that with limited supplied and with a limited work area. Stay tuned for more in the future. This flower combines some of the petals that I have done videos on already which I will share below.
These two crafts also work very well together. I put my Kanzashi flower on a Single Prong Alligator Clip and that way you can wear the headband with or without the flower. When you want the flower, just slip the bottom of the alligator clip in to the weave of the headband.
Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you'll give Kanzashi Flowers or Woven Ribbon Headbands a try. Happy crafting!
