Pockets and Pinwheels with Patriotic Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon Patriotic Plaid Carta Bella God Bless America Kathy Clement

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Believe it or not, Summer is right around the corner!  Here in the US, that means it is time to break out our patriotic ribbons and get ready for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Independence Day holidays.  So I've whipped up a fun little "inside out" pocket on the front card. Then I dressed it up with a bunch of patriotic ribbons from the RRR shop. I don't know about you, but I love working with good old red, white and blue!

The star of the show is my favorite Patriotic Plaid Ribbon.  I've used it to make bows, fishtail banners and as a border on the box pocket.

If you haven't checked out the Patriotic Ribbon in the shop lately, let me entice you with a few of them here.  I wrapped the pinwheel straw with beautiful Flag Grosgrain Ribbon.  This handsome ribbon also works beautifully as a border on a card or album cover.

Really Reasonable Ribbon Patriotic Ribbon Tag

Dress up the top of a little tag with ribbon streamers made from Patriotic Plaid, 3/8" Checkerboard Poppy Satin, and Tiny Stars Grograin ribbons.  (The blue is out of stock, but you could use the red, then use Blue Diamond Satin Ribbon in place of the Poppy Red.)

Grosgrain Ribbon makes a really cute border on the bottom of the tag, too.  I cut a fishtail end on one side to balance out the rosette on the right.

Here's a peek inside the card.  I added a little flap and pocket feature.

There is room beneath the flap to add a photo with a little journaling on the left.  And you could tuck a little ice cream gift card inside the folded journal card just for fun!

I hope I've shared some tips and tricks that you can use when you get ready to create your red, white and blue projects.  Don't forget to check out the May Ribbon Club Nautical Americana ribbons, too!  They are perfect for summer holiday and vacation projects.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mom Card

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all! Also Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms out there! Hope you enjoyed your day. Todays card is a Mom card I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Gorgeous Pearl Pink Satin with Grosgrain Edge, love this ribbon as its beautiful!

On my card today I chose to make my flowers using flower dies, and then my Glass Flower technique that I LOVE using. I do have a few tutorials that are old on my blog under tutorials. Next I chose to use Our Daily Bread stamps that Ive had for years, love this one! The design paper is beautiful and from HC and RRR goes perfectly with this card. I love it, and had so much fun putting this card together. Lastly I added Pearls and white dots to my card for embellishments.

thank you so much for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day!

Hugs to all, Cheryl

Magical Fairy Wands

Welcome by the RRR Blog today, everyone.  It's Karen Letchworth here today sharing three pretty Fairy Wands I decorated using lots of wonderful trims and bobbits from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  First, I painted some paper mache fairy wands with creamy ivory acrylic paint.  I sprayed them one by one with Krylon Acrylic Spray and dusted them with glitter.  They're difficult to photograph, so I laid them onto an antique Coke crate.  For information on where I got the wands, please visit my blog here.
As I mentioned, these pretty wands weren't the easiest little buggers to photograph because they so long and narrow, you know?  After a few failed attempts with mason jars, etc., I decided to lay a doily in the grass and just set them out for the fairies to come by and grab off my lawn. ??  or.....at least I was able to snap a few photos (even if they're not the greatest).  My apologies.  Our girls are grown and well past the days of fairy wands.  These are going to a friend's young girls.  They still play in "fairy land".
I decorated one wand in cream and teal by using lengths of Robin's Egg Wrinkle RibbonIvory Wrinkle RibbonRosemary Natural Lace, Teal Ric-Rac TrimTeal Satin Stitch Ribbon, a Buckle Slide.  I also cut several strips of tulle ribbon and I tied them tightly around the top of each wand.  A bit of hot glue on the back side holds all those tightly-tied ribbons in place.  There are literally dozens of teal/turquoise, etc. ribbons and trims I could have chosen from RRR for these projects.  Every color of every trim of every width, texture, print or solid....you can imagine it - we most likely have it at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
There's another wand that's also painted and glittered in cream but is accented in browns.  I again cut and tied several strips of Tulle Ribbon around the wand.  To give it a rustic feel, I also tied in some Rosemary Natural Crochet Lace, some Natural Jute, and some Ivory Wrinkle Ribbon.  In the center of the ribbon, there's a length of Solid Ivory Baker's Twine topped with a Light Mocha Open Rose.  This one has a rustic shabby chic softness to it, and Really Reasonable Ribbon always has the perfect trims and touches for everything.
The third wand was painted cream and sprinkled with pink glitter.  It's adorned with strips of tulle ribbon, and lengths of Rosemary Natural Crochet LaceLight Pink Gingham RibbonIvory Wrinkle RibbonDusty Rose Wrinkle Ribbon, and a White Flatback Pearl tucked inside a pearl Buckle Slide.  There are many great Laces, Ginghams and more for all your projects.
There are always SO many great ribbons, trims and more - just waiting for you at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You can create something different, something FUN, something inspired by all the great products you'll find when you shop at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Thanks again for stopping by today, and please visit us often for lots more great inspiration, information and fun.

Blessings,

Smile Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here to share a sweet greeting card with loads of country charm.

I just love the bold check pattern in a bright and cheerful bright pink color palate.

Instead of my usual round styled doily I've incorporated a really large and scrolly oval then layered on a cheeky polka dot pattern.

These made by me flowers coordinate perfectly. They make for a pretty arrangement when paired with die cut foliage, netting, and loopy twine bows. The perfect finishing touch is a sweet and simple bow tied from Pink Wrinkle Ribbon.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
