Mini Albums and Ribbon Club Assortments - Perfect Together!

So, I'm on a mini-album kick and the Monthly Ribbon Club Assortments from Really Reasonable Ribbon are the PERFECT embellishment for your minis.  You get a collection of ribbon in two widths that all work perfectly together, so there is no thinking needed!   Just grab a coordinating paper pad and get to work.

I have another beach themed mini that I will share with you real soon that I made using the June Ribbon Club Assortment.  Great for those beach vacation photos!

We have a special going on right now.
JOIN TODAY and begin with the May and June assortments with special low introductory pricing.
Hurry, the May assortment disappears at the end of June!
The May and June assortments each contain 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a color or holiday themed collection of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

We have a big family picnic on the 4th of July weekend each year, so I decided to make this mini album to hold some of the photos from this year.  I had a 6 x 6 patriotic paper collection that has been collecting dust for several years and it worked great for this mini.
I am just starting to play around with minis, so I'm still working on page construction.  Once I get things a little more organized in my head, I will share some tutorials for different types of pages and ribbon embellishment.
I made the pages on this album flip out, so it almost doubles the amount of space for photos.  If you use all the pages and tags, you can put 7 photos on each page and still have room to journal on the backs.  With 5 pages, that's 35 photos you can easily add.  Even more if you skip the writing and add photos to the backs of the pull out pieces as well.
I also strongly recommend Scor-Tape for mini album construction.  I use it for many things including attaching the pages to the binding and the binding to the cover and it's very strong and secure.
I love the flag design paper on the back cover and all the perky ribbons peeking out the top and sides.  I even added a year medallion on the spine so we remember what year the photos are from.  I fussy cut the design paper and you can see I got '4th of July' showing on the bottom.
My bi-color bow was created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool with two of the 5/8" ribbon styles from the May Ribbon Club Assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This bow is just my favorite bow for any project!

Sweet Friendship

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July to all!
Today I wanted to share my card created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Beautiful 4th of July Ribbon "Flag Grosgrain " I also used the Beautiful Sweetheart Blossoms from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
So for my card today I used some Patriotic design paper I had picked up when I worked at AC. I thought it would go perfectly with Really Reasonable Ribbons Patriotic Flag Ribbon. Love this ribbon, it's so easy to make big beautiful bows with it, and love the way it lays.

Card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Supplies used:
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Sweetheart Blossoms
Really Reasonable Ribbons Flag Grosgrain in 1 3/8"
Really Reasonable Ribbon 3-D Foam Tabs
Bazzill design paper
JustRite dies
MS punch
button from my stash

Thank you for looking and have a wonderful 4th!!!

Blessings to all,

Long May She Wave...

Happy Tuesday all!  Cherry here with a card made for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I have been planning and scheming getting out my 4th of July goodies....and they did make an appearance on Sunday.  I crafted my little heart out that day....so much fun.  This card was no exception, and to be fair, this card is perfect also for Flag Day.  So I am not jumping the gun too much, lol.
I started with some patriotic papers, stickers, images, etc and went to town creating my focal point.   I made handmade crepe fringe and added a Craft Spiral silver stamen  in the middle of it.  It reminds me of the corkscrew fireworks.  I also added them to the middle of my ribbons .  They look like fireworks shooting off into the sky to me.  Kinda fanciful?  Just go with it!
I added my bingo card and fussy cut image of the boy and added dimension by using 3D Foam Tabs from Tombow .  I used Glory Blue seam binding for my bow.  I also used Tiny Poppy Red stars on white grosgrain as a border towards the top of my card for interest.
That is it!!!   I love how it turned out and this has just whetted my appetite for more Patriotic goodies.  I love making them....especially in our gorgeous homeland colors of red, white, and blue.....nothing better!  Thanks for visiting , Cherry

Celebrate The Red, White and Blue

Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it SO MUCH FUN to celebrate any holiday or special occasion with their amazing selection of ribbons and trims.  To help celebrate the 4th of July this year, Really Reasonable Ribbon (and my friend, Rachel) helped me to create some lovely hair bows.  Yes, Really Reasonable Ribbon carries much more than just the ribbons and trims - they also carry all the supplies for creating beautiful hair bows and head bands.  You can see them all here in their Headbands and Clips Category.  They have different sizes for every hair length and thickness so that it's perfect for all hair types from infants to old ladies (like me....LOL).
This larger bow includes the Molly White Crochet Lace, Tiny Electric Blue Stars on White Grosgrain, Red With Satin Grosgrain Edge, Electric Blue Satin, and several other scraps of this and that.  Really Reasonable Ribbon not only has a wonderful Patriotic Selection, but they carry selections for pretty much any special occasion you can image.  You will never have to look anywhere else for your ribbon needs!

Thanks for stopping by today, and don't forget to check back here on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog each day for more inspiration, and also for the fun challenges we offer each month.  We love it when you visit us!

Blessings,
Karen

4th of July Party!!!

Hello and good morn!   I have some candy cones made for RRR.  I took some mini cones, painted them with red chalk board paint, distressed, and than waxed them for aging.  I added some simple little embellishments...cupcake liners to the inside, stars, buttons and pearls, and cherry twinelipstick red seambindingplaid ribbon in red to use for handles and bows.  I also used a bit of vintage navy seambinding.  These will be use to fill with candies or would be sooooo cute hanging from a Patriotic tree or mantle!   Hope you enjoy, Cherry

God Bless America Card

Have I mentioned how very much I like patriotic cards and the red, white and blue color theme?  What....no??  Well I DO love them!  I'm still happily playing with my May Ribbon Club assortment from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  If you're worried that you missed out, fear not!  We will be offing the May assortment throughout the month of June too.
Why not treat yourself and JOIN TODAY!  You will receive a fun new color or holiday themed assortment each month.  What a great way to build your ribbon stash.
For this card I used two of the ribbons from the RRR May Ribbon Club Assortment.  I ran the 5/8" red, white and blue stripe grosgrain across the middle of the card under the sentiment and I created a simple perky double-loop bow with the patriotic plaid ribbon with my Bow-it-All V2.0.
And here is a little peek at the inside.  Love that sentiment.
