Winter Wonderland...

I am back for a post here at RRR.  Just in the nick of time too.....it has been c------old as you can see in my first picture!  It put me right in the mood for my wintry cards this afternoon.   I got to spend a few hours today working in the craft room....warm and toasty. NO SNOW shoveling today.   I broke out some gorgeous blues and whites and had fun creating these for RRR.    For the last several years I have enjoyed creating "Winter theme" cards...guaranteed to keep the doldrums at bay lol.   Even though Christmas is not quite here it always seems rather sad when the decorations need to be packed away for another year.  So why not create a few Winter greetings to bring a smile to someone's face?  A nice buffer between Christmas and Valentines.   I used papers from graphic 45, Pretty Little Studio, and Echo Park.  Most of my stickers etc are also Echo Park.  I used ribbons  from the "beautiful blues" ribbon assortment, which if you missed it were our ribbon club selections this month.  I also added Sandra white crochet lace and open roses in white, along with white magnolias.  Well that is it for me..hope you enjoy!  hugs, cherry

Christmas Greetings

Hi there crafty peeps!  I am back on the blog today to share a simple but beautiful card I whipped up for a party I will be going to this Christmas season.  With life being so hectic right now it is good to always have some supplies on hand to make quick cards in a pinch.  I did just that with a couple of different ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon's Store and one of my creativity kits from Polly's Paper on Etsy.

I adhered two printed papers to a Kraft card base.  I then wrapped Ivory Double Faced Satin Ribbon and Gold Glitz Ribbon vertically around the base.  I used the same glitz ribbon to make a simple double looped bow with my Bow-It-All and adhered it to the top of the ribbon band.  I then layered  a digital music sheet print.  I took my Santa focal image and matted it onto Kraft cardstock.  I popped that on top with foam squares.  As a final accent, I added three gold glitter enamel dots to the bottom left corner.  Voila!  This card only took about 15 minutes to put together and looks perfect to send to anyone to help them celebrate the season.  Have a wonderful day!

Now, be sure to leave some love at all the stops along the way. Your comments are most appreciated!

At the end of the hop, comment on this post answering the question below for a chance to win our December Ribbon Club assortment shown below.

Our question of the month is:

New Year's Resolution?  Do you make them?  Do you want to share??  How long do you usually hang in there before you give up?
Mine is usually the same ol', same ol'.  Lose weight, healthier lifestyle, get more organized, find more time to do things I enjoy.  This year I'm going to try to narrow it down to one thing - Take better care of myself.  Eat better, be less hard on myself and try to be all-around happier.  I hope I can keep it up for longer than my usual 2 weeks or so.......

Our winner will be selected from the numbered comments on this post on Thursday, 12/17. Be sure to check back on Thursday evening to see if you are our lucky winner.

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. We hope you'll stop by and so some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon soon.

Happy Anniversary Card with Really Reasonable Ribbon

Really Reasonable Ribbon has the perfect ribbons, laces and trims for EVERY occasion.  And it doesn't stop with the ribbons.  They have flowers, stems and leaves, decorative bags, hair accessories, and SO much more.  They really carry everything you need to make the perfect card for any occasion.  I needed an Anniversary card, and this is what Really Reasonable Ribbon's FABULOUS products helped me to create.
I started with pink card stock and added some patterned paper that I machine stitched and glued a piece of tea-stained torn cheese cloth to.  I stamped my sentiment to a miniature doily.  That's absolutely IT!  The rest is just lots of great Really Reasonable Ribbon products to adorn it.
I added two bow clusters,  Each was made with a small piece of Forsythia Yellow Seam Binding, a torn strip of May Arts 2 1/2" Cotton Blend Vintage Floral Pink Ribbon, a length of  Lemonwood Solid Baker's Twine and Deep Pink Solid Baker's Twine.  I also added two small clusters of tea-stained Deep Ivory Gysophila, two Deep Pink Open Roses and two Two-Toned Yellow Open Roses

Thanks so much for stopping by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today.  We hope you are inspired by the projects posted here by our Design Team Members, and we would LOVE to have you stop by to play along in our Current Challenge.  You're also welcome to visit my Blog, My Cup Runneth Over, to say hello.  I look forward to seeing YOUR fabulous projects using ribbon, and I encourage you to take a peek at the fabulous items I used on this card available now over in the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store.  You deserve something new!

Vintage Thank You Christmas Card

Hello from Nancy, Design Team Member from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This year, I plan to get my Christmas Thank You cards made before Christmas and very excited to show you a lovely ribbon that you will want for your cards.  Really Reasonable Ribbon has gorgeous Christmas ribbons and I love their plaid ribbons that I use often for my country or vintage themes.

I really fell in love with the Plaid Ribbon Ivory/Rust/Gold and have been using it for my vintage Christmas cards this year like the card above.  The ribbon has rich rust and ivory colors with gold running through it.  This ribbon brings out the gold, ivory and rust in my colors in my card.  Of course, I couldn't have made this bow without my Zutter Bow-It-All V2.0 .

Plaid Ribbon Ivory/Rust/Gold
The picture or image came from Graphic 45 Christmas Carol pad.  The dies that were used are the following:
Sue Wilson-Holly Spray
Sue Wilson, Mosaic Poinsettia
Sue Wilson - Thank You
Sue Wilson - Scandinavian Border
Spellbinder - Poinsettia
