Puttin' on the Glitz Ribbon Christmas Folio

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  The holidays are all about puttin' on the glitz!  Even in our crafting!  Thankfully, Really Reasonable Ribbon has a wonderful selection of metallic ribbons that add just the right amount of sparkle to our holiday crafting!

This Red Glitz Ribbon has been paired up with Iridescent Metallic String for maximum shine. The really lovely thing about this ribbon is that it is surprisingly easy to tie.  It's not too thick, and not too stiff, so it makes gorgeous bows.  I've also used it to create a border on the cover of this Christmas folio.  1.5" Royal Blue Gingham Ribbon picks up on the wonderful blues in this vibrant collection.

If you'd like to take a peek inside this festive folio, then please enjoy this short video tour with tips and tricks.

Glitz ribbon comes in 10 glamorous shades, too. So if you want to add a little sparkle to your Christmas crafting, it's hard to beat!

Silver & Gold Gingerbread House Card

Hello friends and happy Monday to you! I hope you had a lovely weekend and to start of the week, I have a super sweet and special holiday card to show you! I just received my new Gingerbread House Die set from Anna Griffin and let me tell you, it is so much fun! Almost as much fun as making a real gingerbread house for the holidays, but without all the mixing, baking and dishes to clean up...just lots of little pieces of paper scraps)😊
And what goes perfect with this silver and gold gingerbread house? The fabulous Silver and Gold Mix November Ribbon Club Assortment, but of course! It sparkles, it shines and it's a match made in heaven with my little gingerbread house easel card! 💖 it! I made a big double bow for the chimney using 2 of the beautiful ribbons from this assortment; Diamond Satin Old Gold and Holiday Dots and Gold Ovals on White Satin Ribbon. I added a Silver Glitter Stardust Heart Shaped Rhinestone to the center of the double bow.
For the decorations on the front of the house, I used 3D foam sheets, then added gold glitter foil to them. I made 2 small bows using 3/8" Satin with Silver Metallic Edge White and added a rhinestone heart to each center, then I placed them atop each gold lollipop.
What a shimmery, glittery good time this festive easel card was to put together! I hope you like it!
And that's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me share a bit of holiday inspiration with you! Until next time, happy crafting!

Very Merry Loaded Envelope

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Christmas will be here before we know it.  So I thought I'd share one of my favorite Christmas ribbons with you today.  Ivory/Rust/Gold Plaid ribbon has a wonderful vintage vibe, a touch of holiday sparkle, and ties the prettiest bows!  I've used it to adorn this loaded envelope, and I love how well it works with the Carta Bella Christmas Market paper collection!

Not only did I use it in the bow clusters along with some gold metallic string, I also used it to pretty up the little treats I tucked into this loaded envelope.

I also used it to make a belly band on this sweet little photo folio insert.

Both sides of the envelope are decorated so that if I get tired of one scene, I can flip it and look at another.

Here I've used Silver Metallic String to make the cute banner on the envelope flap.

I think that loaded envelopes make great Secret Santa, Holiday Swap and Hostess Gifts.  Plus they are fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by!

I went full on Christmas with this card and it was fun.  I love making handmade flowers too, so the poinsettias were made with distress ink paper I made and the centers are Milk White Mini Stamens.

I just love a traditional red and green color palette.  It's just so festive.

My bottom layer is a white mulberry paper which I think adds such a wonderful unique touch to my cards.

Christmas Magic Book Box & Tag Set

Hi friends! Well, Christmas is just about upon us and I'm feeling very merry these days! I'm so happy to be able to share with you a project that I enjoyed making so much and it is brimming to the top with Christmas cheer! Linsey here today--I invite you to come along and see all the magic and sweetness this holiday home décor book box holds!
The front cover of my book box is loaded with Red and Ivory Aster Daisy Stems, WOC White Magnolias and White Bead Berry Spray Clusters for sparkle and pizazz! The 5/8" Red Taffeta Ribbon adds decadence and charm to the piece. Some Natural Burlap String tied into a bow and to the buttons lends a bit vintage goodness to the box and ties in beautifully with these darling vintage-style papers to complete the look. I added gold foils around all the edges and a vintage metal keyhole and key, as well as a metal clothespin inscribed with the word "timeless", which I believe is one of the words that describes the true meaning of Christmas.
And now for a look inside. This is the inside of the front cover and it has pocket and tag for writing the title and year. More red taffeta and daisy asters were added because I love them so much!
Lots of tag and pockets for journaling fit inside the book box. Much more could be added as well since there is so much space!
Along the inside base of the box, Debra Natural Crochet Lace trim was added. I think it's a perfect touch of softness for this sweet theme. Arianna Natural Crochet Lace trim was added to a few of the tags as well.
I'm so happy with the results of my book box, I added it to a table amongst my holiday home décor this year! After the holidays, it will serve as a cherished keepsake for years to come!
I hope you've enjoyed my project today! I wish you and yours a very happy and merry holiday season! Whatever you do, be blessed!! Until next time, happy crafting--and happy new year, too!!

Merry Christmas from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hi friends.  I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Today I'm sharing the holiday card that I've sent out to my family and friends.  Each year I make one design which I mass produce.  This works best for me.  Since I LOVE the holiday Plaid Ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon, that is what I've used this year.
I decided to go with traditional Christmas colors for my card and I LOVE cardinals, so this is what I came up with.
I ran a strip of Plaid Christmas Red/Green/Gold Ribbon across the middle of the card under the sentiment.  I also could not resist a layer of white mulberry paper under my layers.
In order to keep things flat for mailing, rather than a bow I simply took a piece of ribbon, tied a knot in the middle and then dove-tailed the ribbon ends.  This is a flat enough embellishment for mailing in a regular envelope with no additional postage.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other items used on my card, visit my Make Time to Craft blog.  Happy crafting!

Snowman Treat Box Decorated with Ribbon and Flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon

Hello everyone and Happy Wednesday to you all! Today I have recycled this darling snowman treat box that I received in a basket that held truffles.  I thought how cute it would look decorated with Really Reasonable Ribbon, flowers, and embellishments. I did take a before photo of it not decorated and then with it decorated so you could see a before and after photo. Hope you enjoy my post for today, and I hope you all have a Very Merry Christmas as well!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Supplies:
Mulberry Flowers Open Roses 20mm white (29 used on snowman)
Seam Binding Lipstick Red(snowman scarf)
30mm white leaves
embellishment
hunter gingham ribbon 3/8"
resin flower on the snowman's hat
flower shaped rhinestone embellishment

So for this sweet little snowman treat box, I started with covering the bottom of him with 29 open roses in all white. Love how it looks. Next I ruched up the seam binding in lipstick red and added it to the scarf around his neck to give it a neat look, and then added some white leaves, green gingham and a green flower rhinestone embellishment.

For the hat I chose to do the same using the seam binding, but this time I added a little flower resin embellishment to his hat. This project was super fun to do, as I enjoyed taking a break from everything else going on, and being able to just craft for a bit. Hope you enjoyed my post for today!

Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thank you so much for stopping by! Hugs to all
Cheryl

Merry & Bright Holiday House

Hi RRR friends! I'm excited to share my latest altered project for the holidays, this sweet little home décor piece that I hope you'll enjoy too! I call it my merry and bright holiday house! Come along and see how ribbons and flowers make everything even more merry and bright!
Different holiday patterned papers was adhered down first, then lots of stickers, chipboard and die cuts were added to each little "room". Some pieces were popped with dimensional foam for a 3D effect. Here's a closer peek inside....
Red Aster Daisy Stems add a touch of realistic beauty to the festive holiday scene. They really elevate a project to the next level.
In my humble opinion, the big bow tied to the top truly makes this piece Without it, it simply wouldn't be as charming or magical. The Delicate Stitched Red Satin Ribbon makes for a very pretty and special bow. I also tied a double bow on the button using Natural Burlap String.
And that's all for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and allowing me to share my merry and bright holiday house with you! I hope you've been inspired to create something pretty with ribbon for the holidays too!! Until next time, happy holidays and happy crafting!!

Stocking Ornament with Cherry

Hello crafty peeps! Cherry here, so excited to be designing for RRR again!  Today I am sharing a fun ornament.  I used a gorgeous large chipboard piece and embossed it.  I then covered it in plaid papers.  I used the Snowflakes in Red Satin for it to hang from.
From there I created my center piece for the ornament.  A cute stocking covered in pattern papers.  I added several ribbons including Red Seam Binding, Baker's Twine in Cherry, and Plaid Ribbon in Christmas Red and Green.
I added some other goodies "inside" the stocking and added some handmade paper fringe and ric rac and that completed my ornament.

Enjoy my friends!!!   Cherry
