For My Friend Card

 Hello Crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today's card was designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using their beautiful flowers & Ribbon. Love using all the different flowers and clustering them all together. 

To start with I chose my card base to be 6" x 6" and then layered all my design paper layers on top. This one has a total of 3 design paper layers starting with the base one measuring 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" then the design paper measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4", next floral layer measures 4 3/4" x 4 3/4' , the little striped layer measures 5 1/2" x 3 1/4" card stock pink, then striped design paper measures 5 1/4" x 3",  I always do 1/4" differences on my layers. so base will be the biggest and then design paper 1/4" smaller. Next I added my zig zag sewing, kept it simple lately. 

for the sentiment layer, I chose 4 layers on that starting with the white doily, and then the cheerylynn shapes, and lastly added my sentiment from Close to my Heart stamps set Curly Sentiments C1056 stamped in black ink.  The butterfly is a K & Company embellishment.

Vintage Bits, Bobbles & Beautiful Ribbon

Welcome by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today, friends! I don't know about you, but sometimes I find myself falling into a creative rut and I forget to think outside the box now and then.  So, I decided that it's time for something different and therefore; today's Really Reasonable Ribbon project is something a bit different and fun.

I used a pink crochet doily for the base, and the little tin cup is just an antique baking trinket.  I made a little "nest" of trims inside the antique tin by layering Ivory Burlap String, 1/2" Pink Wrinkled Ribbon, lots of gorgeous Miniature Double Head Stamens, and some lovely White Crochet Lace.

Then I attached a vintage wooden spool of pink thread with a wooden rock candy stick through the middle.  I tied some of the 1/2" Pink Wrinkled Ribbon, and White Crochet Lace to the wooden stick, and also attached some Open Roses as a lovely finishing touch.

Mom is Everything To Me

Happy Easter, everyone! Nicole P. here and I hope you are having a great time with your family or your loved ones. Since I like to plan things ahead, I thought sharing a Mother's Day card today would be perfect so you can get inspired for the next holiday that's coming up soon. Today's card feature the soft, pretty, amazing Pink Wrinkled Ribbon. 

Before I talk about the ribbon, I will share a technique I used on this card. You see those roses that are colored with pinks and greens? I used Copic markers to color the images, but, to create a much softer and part "water-color" look, I only filled in random parts of the images. I call this a "Selective Copic Coloring" which I came up with couple months ago. I was experimenting with it and fell in LOVE with the results.

Let's talk about this adorable ribbon. Wrinkled ribbons can be a perfect accent for your projects, when you want to give a bit more texture or interest. Using a nice, flat ribbon can give you clean, finished look where wrinkled ribbon can give you more of the soft, vintage look. I actually just finished "collecting" the wrinkled ribbon collection that Bonnie carries - they are super affordable and you can get lots of them for your buck! 

Wrinkled Ribbons are light-weight but super easy to tie bows. Once you set it, it is good to go! Try using the wrinkled ribbon and see how you like it. Thanks for stopping by!! Hope you have a Happy Easter!
