Get WILD with Ribbon

Good morning and happy Friday! Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here sharing a new bow with you today. Actually, I pulled out my assortment of Gingham ribbons with the intentions of making a card. Clearly that did not work out at all! Once I had the 1.5 inch Black Gingham  in my hands, it spontaneously began turning into a hair bow all on its own! My ribbon just went WILD!

I started with the 1.5 inch Black Gingham and 1. 5 inch Black Grosgrain.  For this one I decided to walk on the WILD side and I pulled out the zoo animal prints!

I used the Bright Pink Zebra Stripe Grosgrain ribbon alongside the 3/8 zebra print grosgrain add the 3/8 inch black giraffe print ribbon. Oh My goodness!  Just laying the ribbons together makes me happy!  I knew this was going to turn out wonderfully!

Once all the pieces were assembled, I added in the marabou feathers...and then topped it off with the zoo animal buttons that I had in my stash. Aren't they the cutest!?

Do you have any spontaneous projects that you'd like to make? Go ahead and give yourself permission to explore your WILD side! Head on over to Really Reasonable Ribbon and start shopping for the perfect ribbons.  RRR is just a click away and you can fill your cart to your heart's content!

Merry Christmas Y'all

Welcome back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, everyone, and thanks again for visiting us today.  I hope you're all doing well, staying happy and healthy; and that you've had lots of time lately to create pretty things.  I always enjoy stopping by your blogs to gain inspiration, and I hope you enjoy visiting me as well.  It's always a treat when I find extra time to spend in my craft room creating things; and there are SO many great products at Really Reasonable Ribbon including the oodles and oodles of ribbons, laces, twines and trims they carry as well as all sorts of other goodies.  The projects I'm sharing with you today incorporate some of my favorites from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I started with a red cardstock and then cut a black cardstock frame using a die-cut scalloped frame.  I added a patterned paper to the center of that, and incorporated several other patterned paper scraps/snippets that I machine stitched onto my base.  I used of lots of fabulous Scor-Tape to adhere all these pretty layers together.
I used a smaller frame from the same die-cut set; and cut my sentiment piece from vellum (outer) and cream cardstock (center).  I stamped my sentiment using a set  called Merry Christmas Y'all.  Next, I used a die to cut my snowflake and I covered it in ultrafine glitter to give it some sparkle.
I used an Echo Park sticker for the truck and a couple other small accents.  The green sprigs are from Crate Paper, and pretty much everything else is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  This includes a length of Cherry Baker's Twine, Solid Black Baker's Twine, a Deep Ivory Open Rose, and some Black Miniature Double Head Stamens, Wine Red Double Head Stamens and Milk White Double Head Stamens.  There's also a Tim Holtz rusty paper clip and a few red prills on my card.
The tag I made was cut using the For You Sweet Cut Tag from Paper Sweeties.  I added some patterned paper and stickers (also Echo Park) to my tag.  I ran a width of Black and White Plaid Gingham Ribbon across the tag; and made a bow using the same Gingham Ribbon, some Cream Seam BindingBlack Seam Binding and Red Pom Pom trim.  There's never a shortage of pretty ribbons and trims at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You'll also find AdhesivesMulberry FlowersEmbellishments and SO much more.   Thanks SO much for stopping by, and please visit  us again soon.

Blessings,
Karen

Our Hearts Are Huge

Welcome by today, everyone!  I'm glad you've found your way here to take quick peek at a FUN card I created for Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I know that I say this a lot, but I always LOVE playing with all the sweet products found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Of course, they carry just about every variety of ribbon, lace, twine, and spooled trim; but they also carry SO many other wonderful things.  I think I loaded a lot of them onto today's card.

I used a variety of different patterned papers on my card from scrap pieces (or snippets as some like to call them) and pieced everything together securing them with strips of Scor-Tape to create my paper base.  I used a small chipboard frame and a sticker sentiment that I adorned with a Pale Pink Open Rose and a Royal Blue Open Rose.  I used additional stickers here and there, including the heart-shaped one that's hanging from a Rusty Pear-Shaped Safety Pin.

At the top left, you'll find another floral sticker that's backed with 3-D Foam Squares and has several Double Head Stamens tucked above and below it.  I love how the Double Head Stamens poke out and provide a fun spray of color.  I also tucked some bundled Pink Burlap String underneath that same floral sticker, and there are a few snippets from a Red Berry Bead Cluster tucked into this sweet blossom.
I did some machine stitching, and I added some cute May Arts ribbon tabs to the side of my card including a piece of 1.5" Black Gingham.  I took this flat side view photo because I just adore all those beautiful layers of paper, ribbon and all things pretty.  If there's anything I forgot to mention that you're curious about, just leave me a comment and I'll let you know what I used.
There are SO many great products at Really Reasonable Ribbon, and you're always sure to find something perfect for your next project.  We hope you'll visit us often.

Blessings,
Karen
