A very happy Sunday to each of you from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblers on this lovely day! We hope that you have all survived any of your Black Friday sales adventures and that you are now settled into a peaceful and pleasant day!
With the holiday season quickly approaching I wanted to share with you a couple of ribbons which are offered at the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop where Bonnie is always surprising us with her marvelous selections!
For this Christmas card I used very non-traditional colors and found the PERFECT ribbons at RRR. You can see that I used 2 different widths and textures on the front of the card and made both the horizontal and vertical panels from these two kinds of ribbon. For the horizontal I used a 1.5" Solid Reversible Satin Purples (the other side is such a lovely lavender!)and removed the wires so that the panel would be flat on the card. This gorgeous ribbon is also available in Blues, Pinks, and Rose colorways. Gosh!! Wouldn't this ribbon make a lovely bow with both colors showing?!?! For the vertical I used one of my very favorite ribbons--5/8" Purple Glitz!!! These Glitz Ribbons, available in RED, PURPLE, BROWN, COPPER, GREEN, FUCHSIA, and TURQUOISE, make such a statement on your holiday cards or anytime!!! Not only do they have so much body but you can see that they make marvelous bows with the Bow-Easy Tool!! Bonnie also has a 5 color Holiday Glitz Assortment available for you!!
On the inside of the card, I layered the two different types of ribbons for a bit more dimension and a contrast from the shiny satin of the reversible ribbon to the GLITZ of the narrower ribbon! I hope that you can tell that by layering two very different ribbons you add so much more texture and interest to your card!
We are so glad that you dropped by to see what's rambling around in here today and we hope you will drop by each day to see a new idea or tip from one of the Design Team members! Have a delightful week, stay warm, and visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop for any and all of your ribbon "NEEDS" or "WANTS"--you will not be disappointed!! Hugs from Jacque!!
