Old Fashioned 4th of July Banner

Patriotic Banner-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I love a good old fashioned patriotic 4th of July celebration, don't you?  Remember those small town parades, lemonade stands, picnics by the lake and fireworks displays?  Those were the very best days of summer when I was growing up.  So I dipped into my supply of Patriotic Really Reasonable Ribbon and made this nostalgic banner.

4th of July Banner, Authentique Calendar-Really Reasonable Ribbon-Kathy Clement-Kathy by Design

One of the things I enjoy about making banners is that you get to use all kinds of beautiful ribbons and trims!  Here's how I used ribbon on this vintage style banner:

Banners are the perfect way to dress up any holiday, and RRR has the perfect ribbons to dress up your banners.  Isn't that a happy fact?

Thanks for stopping by!

Shabby Chic Lollipop card & Video tutorial

Hello everyone and Happy Friday to you all! Today's fun project is a shabby chic Lollipop card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon and for our Doll club meeting that I hosted in April where I taught a class on making these. I had prepped all the layers and bows and had everything ready for everyone to make, it was Super fun! I used the beautiful ribbons, flowers and embellishment from RRR.

To start with I cut out several different die cuts in different design papers and what ahead and use foam tabs to layer each one on top of each other. Next I used an Image that I had printed out and then cut out with an oval die, then used an old trim around that using hot glue. I did add a straw and used Really Reasonable Ribbons Grosgrain Swiss dots ribbon in light pink around the straw, and love how it looks. Next I used Delicate stitched ribbon in a shade of blue, and then a old vintage blue ribbon as well ,I made bows with those, and then I used some Satin Pink Ribbon 1/4" for my bows in pink. I used one on the bottom and one up on the top by the flowers.

Flowers used are:
open roses  2tone pink with dusty pink centers, and then 2 tone ivory an pale pink 20mm

For all the layered die cut pieces I did use really reasonable ribbon foam tabs. And then the small flower on the bottom bow is really reasonable ribbons flower. I love making these lollipop cards and do have a video on making one that I made awhile back. I will link video here.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my blog post today. Also if you'd like to see my YouTube video on creating a lollipop card you can find my video here on YouTube
hugs to all,
Cheryl

God Bless America Patriotic Note Card

Hello friends.  Today I'm sharing a patriotic themed note card that's embellished with some pretty ribbons and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I created a 5-1/2" square card with loads of layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of royal blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon topped with 3/8" Patriotic Random Stars Satin Ribbon across the center of the card.  I topped it off with a pretty bi-color bow using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and below the sentiment I have added some 2-Tone Red Sweetheart Blossoms.

Both of the sentiments I used on my card today came from the Patriotic Digital Stamp Bundle and I also have a Patriotic SVG/Full Color Digital Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the two sets I used on my card today.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The center of the bow is finished off with a pretty Acrylic Star Shaped bead.

Congrats To The Grad

Hello, sweet blog friends, and thanks so much for stopping by today as your friend, Karen here, shares a FUN graduation card created by using just a few of the many amazing products from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I combined that with a digital sentiment stamp rom Bonnie Garby Designs and came up with this fun card.  I just LOVE how a few simple trims can spice up a card and take it to the next level.
The patterned papers are from the Reminisce Paper Pack.  They're all attached to the black cardstock base using strips of Scor-Tape to secure them.  The sentiment can be found in the Graduation Bundle from Bonnie Garby Designs.  I cut several stars from the patterned paper and I attached the stars and the oxide inked sentiment square using 3-D Foam Tabs.
I bundled some Bright Yellow Burlap String and Black Burlap String to create the bow on the lefthand side of the sentiment.  I topped that bundle of twisted strings with a beautiful pearl Embellishment from RRR.  There are so many great colors, widths, textures, and choices when it comes to ribbons, twines and spooled items.  Really Reasonable Ribbon truly has it all.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You'll find fabulous inspirations here on the RRR Blog all the time.  You're also sure to find information about special sales and promotions, so stop by often.  Really Reasonable Ribbon really is an AMAZING store that you'll LOVE.  I hope you'll stop by to browse at least.  Have a blessed week, y'all.

Wishing you joy,
Karen

Sending Happy Thoughts Monochromatic Greeting Card

Hey there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a greeting card created with a monochromatic color palate. This style of crafting is sometimes a bit out of my comfort zone but I'm really very happy with how it turned out.

To help keep the patterns from looking too busy I alternated between floral and geometric and also scale.  I used some dies with a stitched edge effect for a little extra detail.  The flower arrangement is finished off with gorgeous stitched satin ribbon which helps to bulk up the display and anchor the corner.

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G

Get Well Card

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria with you today. I have been trying to create more masculine style cards, and since I have two brothers who are dealing with health issues, plus my husband has a number of guys in his men's Bible study also dealing with illness, I though why not try to crate a masculine get well card?!

I am using up some images cut from Saturday Evening Post/Norman Rockwell greeting cards that I found in my stash. They are so wonderful, and I am giving them new life!

I matted the image onto black cardstock. This image is so cool and I found the perfect sentiment to go with it! I love when that happens! I stamped the greeting onto a scrap of cardstock and tucked it under the bottom edge of the image. I ended up having too much white space at the bottom of the sentiment AFTER I glued it down, so I added the strip of plaid paper to make it look intentional. {smile}

I used a length of 5/8" Black Taffeta ribbon to cover the seam between the two printed papers. I then wound some Antique Gold Burlap String around the panel a few times. Then, using both the black taffeta and the antique gold string, I tied a knot on the right side of the image.

Thank you so much for joining me today!
