Two Butterflies....

...were just what this mini-canvas needed to add the last touch of color and dimension. The butterflies, from Jenni Bowlin, are available in the embellishments category on the Really Reasonable Ribbon website. Speaking of ribbon, I used three glitzy styles to add some twinkle to this piece. (By the way, I started with a square canvas from the dollar bins in the kids' section at Michael's. I used gesso to cover the pre-printed design.) The ribbons are: red glitz ribbon, sparkling velvet black, and stars in line silver. Aren't they GREAT? As always, I can always find the perfect ribbon to add that special touch to my project when I visit the Really Reasonable Ribbon store! PS: I'm going to add some new cards to my Creative Card Cafe blog later today and many of them also use ribbon in simple, easy ways. I'd love it if you would stop by to say hi! Enjoy. :)Debbie L.

A Great Adhesive for your Projects

Hi Everyone and welcome to Sundays on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Just to let all of you hopefuls know, we will be announcing the Design Team on October 27th.

Today I've got a few projects to share using the Helmar Adhesives available at the Store. I, like many of you, had my go to adhesives that I thought worked for everything. I rarely strayed from those. Then I was given the opportunity to work with Helmar products and I'd never go back. First a project showing you the Zapdots. You can achieve a similar look by using Pom-Pom and Crochet Lace for the trim.

Zapdots is the perfect dimensional dot for all of your crafty needs. They come in 3 colors (black, white and clear) 2 different sizes and 2 different shapes. These little dots have serious sticking power, so try some the next time you grab some amazing ribbon from the store.

Next a project that focuses on the Liquid Scrap Dots. Many of you know that I call this stuff Heaven in a Tube and I tell ya, it is a fitting name. This card also uses the Jute String in White

Look at all of the different layers that are created. All you have to do is add Liquid Scrap Dots onto a piece then press down to the dimension you need. Easy Peasy. Here is a different projects close up, so you can see the true dimension that Liquid Scrap Dots creates.

And lastly, the best way to adhere ribbon to a project is with Helmar Quick Fix Adhesive Runner. Super easy to use and it has a very strong hold. When I create pleating on my projects with ribbon, this is the product I use. This card also used the 1 1/4" Black Silk Ribbon.

Take a look at the Helmar projects that we carry. Try them and you will see that they are a staple for your crafting space. Thanks for stopping by today.

Using Wired Edge Ribbon for a Dramatic Embellishment

 TGIS!
True :D here.
I love Saturdays!
Hubby is home and it's my turn to post on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog!
I am using an image from my new digi stamp set "Eclectic Teapots" which is available for instant download now!  :)

This card just screamed for a big, beautiful, dramatic bow so I used Really Reasonable Ribbon's - Wired Sheer Iridescent Violet ribbon. The pictures don't do the ribbon justice. It is STUNNING in person!

Don't forget to check out the challenge we have going on at RRRR right now. It is a Halloween theme so dust off those little goblin stamps and come join in on the fun! You could win one of two $10.00 gift certificates!

Thanks for dropping by!

Studded Ribbon

Hi, It's Gini - and I have an elegant fall card to share with you today. I love using rich fall colors with metallics - so my ribbon of choice today was perfect! I used the Brown Glitz and then glued gold dew drops to make a lovely studded ribbon . The stamps are some of my favorites from Heartfelt Creations.

Thanks for looking!
