Altered Table Decoration for Thanksgiving

Happy Monday to all of you!

I have a fun Thanksgiving project to share with you today. It's part 2 of the gift set I began showing you last week on this post.

I mentioned that I am notorious for saving ribbon scraps. What I didn't say was that I save all kinds of things for my crafting.  My project for today shows you how fun it is to re-purpose everyday items found around your home! :)
The base to this decoration is actually an almond can.  The top 2 pieces are old ribbon spools that were spray painted white. Miscellaneous ribbons, Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, vintage buttons, scrapbook paper, burlap and silk leaves, and foam fruit decorate the tower.  Touches of various Stickles add sparkle and shine.
I'll fill this with a yummy nut snack mix and then hubby will give it to some friends of ours this week.
I hope you are inspired to create something fun of your own with things you have around your house! Really Reasonable Ribbon has so many gorgeous trims and ribbons to add the perfect touch! :)

Ribbons and trims used:
tower - autumn diagonal striped grosgrain, delicate stitched satin old gold, wired woven check brown/white, seam binding dusty olive, burlap string orange
card - silky crush olive, shimmer satin tangerine with gold, autumn diagonal striped grosgrain

Wild Orchid Crafts flowers:
10 mm open roses, 15 mm open roses, cosmos, cherry blossoms

Wrap It Up - Dana Joy Style

Hey Really Reasonable Ribbon Fans.  It's Dana here with you today!  I'm wrapping things up for Christmas and up to my elbows in ribbon.  And what does every package need?  A really pretty bow!

I love how my big white bow came out.  I wanted to have a little contrast between the ribbon that wrapped around the package and the bow itself.  I used the fabulous 1.5" wide Wired Faux Burlap ribbon and colored it with some ink.  Next I used my Bow-It-All to make my triple looped bow out of the same ribbon.  Working with the wired ribbon makes it super easy to adjust your loops and make the perfect bow.  I have four more boxes to wrap so I better get busy.

Now it's your turn to "Wrap It Up Dana Joy Style".  Head on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon shop and pick up your bow making ribbon today.  If you don't have a Bow-It-All now would be a great time to ask Santa for that "early" Christmas gift.  I think you've been good all year long. ;-)

Hugs and love~

Dana

Using Wired Edge Ribbon for a Dramatic Embellishment

 TGIS!
True :D here.
I love Saturdays!
Hubby is home and it's my turn to post on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings blog!
I am using an image from my new digi stamp set "Eclectic Teapots" which is available for instant download now!  :)

This card just screamed for a big, beautiful, dramatic bow so I used Really Reasonable Ribbon's - Wired Sheer Iridescent Violet ribbon. The pictures don't do the ribbon justice. It is STUNNING in person!

Don't forget to check out the challenge we have going on at RRRR right now. It is a Halloween theme so dust off those little goblin stamps and come join in on the fun! You could win one of two $10.00 gift certificates!

Thanks for dropping by!

Sheer Black with White Print Ribbon

Well, the sun has finally returned and boy am I glad to see it. I feel like I have more energy already. Good weather is predicted through the weekend. Yeah!!!!

Today we have a card from Debbie Littlejohn using our new wired edge sheer black with white print ribbon along with 3/8" satin in white and black. What a striking card. I love the contrast between the colors.
