Rain or Shine

We had a lovely spring rain a couple of days ago -- I loved the sound of it on my deck, and when I woke up, there was a delicious fog all around that made me feel like I was in England! It burned off by 10 a.m. and left a cloudless sky.

Sometimes clouds are really fun. Like when they are die cuts from The {Stamps} of Life! Both the umbrella and the cloud dies are  designs by Stephanie Barnard:

The fun stamps are from umbrella4you. I stamped the umbrella using Stephanie's Premium Strawberry ink, and filled in with Cornflower. The dots are colored with a Copic marker. 

I added some Cherries Jubilee buttons by Buttons Galore and 3/8" Aqua Floral Satin ribbon all available from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

 

The Aqua Floral Satin ribbon is one of my favorite ribbons Bonnie carries. The shimmer and subtle floral design is perfect for so many projects. There are three other beautiful spring colors. Both the buttons and the ribbon (as well as the card panels) are adhered with Scor-Tape.

Floral Satin and Hemptique Baker's Twine

One of my favorite designs that Bonnie carries in the RRR Store is this sweet Floral Satin:

It adds such a nice delicate look to your projects and comes in five beautiful colors: Hot Pink, Daffodil, Aqua, Blue Topaz and Light Orchid. On today's card I used the Aqua Floral Satin, which is my favorite of the five.

My images are Wishing Well and Wishing You Well by Hambo Stamps. I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the well, and then colored in with Copic markers. The sentiment was then stamped in Blue Bayou ink (I love and miss that color!). Here are the markers I used:

My designer papers are from the Sidewalks Collection by October Afternoon and Dots & Stripes by Echo Park (Can you see that striped green layer? I thought it added some whimsy!).

The other trim I used from Really Reasonable Ribbon is the Hemptique Lime/White Baker's Twine. It comes individually as a spool, or as part of the Tutti Frutti set. I wrapped it around the bottom of my Spellbinders die to accent the lime crocheted flower. Click on the photo for a close-up!

I Love NEW Things!!

Isn't it fun to get something new? I love window shopping too and you simply MUST visit the RRR Store to see all of the new Baker's Twine and Hemp that Bonnie has. I can hardly wait to get mine! Take a look at her post from yesterday if you missed it! (And at her beautiful card!)

I used something else new on my card for today. I ADORE this Aqua Floral Satin ribbon. The picture really doesn't even do it justice. You need to have this ribbon. The white design looks so delicate and like it is embossed. It was the perfect choice for my card.

I really like the look of the VersaMark ink on Kraft cardstock. It is subtle, but there is enough contrast to show the beautiful floral design from Flowers for Mom, one of April’s stamp releases at Stamp School. I stamped the Sno Cone cardstock circles with Sno Cone ink for a little more depth of color, and then used the VersaMark pad again to stamp the floral image over “Mom” (from Stamp School's Women in My Life).

My favorite embellishments are pearls, and the RRR Store has just the kind I adore! These are Pearl pearls (yes, "pearl" is a color!). Take a look at all of the fabulous colors that are in the store HERE.
