Merry Christmas

Hello Crafty Friends and Tuesday to you all!
Today's card was created for Really Reasonable Ribbon. using the Country Holiday Ribbon , Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from this months Ribbon Collection. I have to say I LOVE LOVE LOVE all the ribbons in this months assortment, but then again I love every months assortment so that is an easy one :) I chose the blue as it goes perfectly with my card for today.

Stamps and design paper are all from the Scandinavian Holiday set from Club scrap. I did stamp the deer, Merry Christmas and snowflakes from the stamp set. Next the design paper was cut from the 12 x 12 sheet of design paper. Back blue card stock was stamped using a blue ink and snowflake stamp. I added some embellishments and beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon in a Delicate Stitch blue ribbon.
I love how simple this card turned out, and normally I love a lot of layers and such, but for this one I tried to keep it simple, and for me this is simple, kinda clean and simple....hehehehee

Winter Blessings with Gracielle Design and Country Holiday Ribbons

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Have you started working on your Christmas card list yet?  If not, maybe this vintage style Winter Blessings Christmas Card made with digital stamps and papers from Gracielle Design and RRR Country Holiday Ribbons will get your creative wheels turning.

I chose to work with the Winter Blessings Digital Stamp Set and the Holiday Tradtions Digital Paper Pack from Gracielle Design.  These pretty papers pair up perfectly with Cream Satin/Turftan Swirl ribbon from the November Ribbon Club Collection.  For a little extra holiday sparkle, I topped the bow with metallic gold string.

I printed the Christmas Bells paper to measure 6" square, then trimmed to 5.75" so I could double mat it on this 6" square card base.  After heat setting the ink on the sentiment (this prevents the ink from running)  I added some color with Distress Inks.  Next, I matted it on green metallic foil papers and added my ribbon and embellishments.

Here's a peek at the inside of the card.

To dress up the sentiment panel, I wrapped it with Vanilla Satin/Gold Metallic Edge ribbon and tied a simple square knot.  You could easily use this simple design on the interior as a card front if desired.

I always seem to wait until the last minute to get my Christmas cards done.  Often then don't get mailed until after the holiday!  Shame on me!  I'm going to try to get things done in a more timely fashion this year...but don't hold your breath!  LOL

More Shabby Chic Fun with The Country Holiday Ribbon Collection

Hello, Friends! I'm having such fun creating with the pretty ribbons in this Country Holiday Collection. They work so well for shabby chic creations that I just had to make this A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card. It's filled with all kinds of sweet surprises on the inside.

A Little Birdie Told Me Birthday Card

How shabbylicious is this? I love the way the pink ribbons pull out the pink colors in the designer papers. My ribbon border uses Brown Diamond Satin Ribbon topped with Wild Rose RRR Select Swiss Dots Grosgrain Ribbon. Because these are such soft, pastel colors, the brown border serves to anchor the design.

The corner bow cluster made with Brown Diamond Satin Ribbon balances the bird house cluster in the opposite corner.

A scrap of Rosewood Satin Swirls ribbon and natural burlap string adorn the vintage key. The rustic bird house is topped with a snippet of Crosshatch on Copper Satin Ribbon.

The party is on the inside

I love to create these "party in a card" keepsakes. Fill up the pockets with lots of treats to turn the card into a gift.

The upper pocket contains a key topped tag that would also make a great bookmark. You'll find a pretty pink teabag and magnet in the lower pocket.

What could be sweeter than these darling vintage images combined with beautiful Really Reasonable Ribbon?

The Country Holiday Collection goes Shabby Chic!

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Kathy here with the Country Ribbon Club Assortment.  I flipped country on its ear and came up with a beautiful shabby chic birthday card.

See?  Country Holiday, meet Shabby Chic! Luxurious Rosewood Satin Swirls creates a border at the base of the card.

I created the base of my bow cluster with Brown Diamond Stitch Satin Ribbon.  Then I used my Zutter Bow it All Tool to tie a triple loop bow with  Gold & Copper Diamond Print Grosgrain Ribbon.  A pretty pink anemone and butterfly finish things off nicely.

There are two pockets inside.  One has a ribbon topped bookmark and chocolate, while the other contains a magnet, tea bag and honey stick.  It's like a birthday party in a card!

I can't wait to play more with this pretty ribbon assortment!
