Hello there friends and crafty peeps! Ginny here with a spring inspired greeting card. Yes you read that correctly. I know we're a week or so out from Christmas....but it's snowing here in Michigan and I hate winter so I've decided to turn myself into a craft hermit and think of warmer days to come.
I'm still going to choose plaid paper for this non-holiday project. I love how it gives this card a country inspired down home feel.
I'm opting for a pretty border of warm rich woodgrain patterned paper with a solid cardstock in green to separate the layers. This sentiment makes me happy. Although I am not a gardener myself....we all need more smiles, laughter, and love.
It was easy to add on flowers for this card. I'm picking my fav Lotus Flower....deconstructed of course. I've also tucked in the pretty rose buds layered over die cut foliage and netting. The bow created with Olive Wrinkle Ribbon helps to fill in the arrangement .
~Really Reasonable Ribbon~ White Lotus Flower, Rose Buds Peach, Flower Stamens, Olive Wrinkle Ribbon.
Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
So beautiful
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Ginny! I love the colors. It's fantastic as always! I hate winters in Michigan as well. Snow, cold and long dreary days drive me into my craft room too, and I am tired of Christmas cards. I am dreaming of the Spring days with sunshine and green grass and birds singing out a tune, telling me that warm days are ahead. I dream of becoming a snowbird some day, spending my winters camping out in the dry land anywhere warmer than here. All of my family are here in Michigan so I won't ever be leaving it permanently, and I do love Michigan the rest of the year. Keep the faith that the warm weather is around the corner and hang in there. Thank you so much for the videos. They keep the rest of us entertained on the cold days.I wish you a very happy, healthy Merry Christmas
