  2. Such great projects!
Favorite 'rainy day' kid activity will be anything creative. We take a creative magazine for kids and choose what ever will feel like doing.
For the other question, I live in Israel and school starts on Sep. 1st, means we have 49 days left...

  3. Loved the blog hop! So many pretty ways to use ribbon. Each designer's project was so pretty and unique.

My kids are grown now but I have 6 grandchildren and nieces and nephews and on a rainy day I have plenty of extra paper and stash which I let them use to create cards and pictures and other projects. The little ones prefer to create their own but the older ones often like some instruction and ideas.

Thanks for sharing all these fun ideas on this blog hop today! :)

  13. Fabulous hop - thank you for the limitless inspiration! Hmmmm....we used to love to bake something special on a rainy day when the kids were still home! As for returning to school, I'm really not at all sure! I've been retired for two years, and just don't keep up - probably in about 36 days! Thanks again :)

  14. Delightful hop! Just got my assortment yesterday and have so many good ideas now. A favorite rainy day activity for kids is coloring and making tree ornaments for Christmas. I have no kids left at home but have grandkids spread all over the US. They all start school on different days, ranging from August 22 to the Tuesday after Labor Day, Sept. 6, so my answer would be anywhere from 38 to 55 days from now.

  18. So many inspiring projects!! A good rainy day activity... give my 4 yr old little boy my sizzix dies and guillotine die cutting machine and let him go to town! He loves it! My middle.. well, she is 13 and finds her own activities. Honestly, I don't know when my kids go back to school. We have been off school since June 9th. I am enjoying having the summer off of school! So, I quick looked.. we go back 9/1. Summer is actually going too fast for me!

  20. Did the blog hopping and gotta say those cards were just amazing! Great rainy day activity is of course crafting in some way (cards, coloring, stamping, altering old things) or playing some sports game with wii ^^

  21. Enjoyed the hop. We mix it up, but our favs would be to go to the movies or play games on the Wii (if you can't beat 'em, join 'em), my son will be 20 next month ;- ). We do enjoy both the cooperative and competitive games, though he usually wins those. Back to school would be college and he will leave in about 37 days or so :- (

  22. I enjoyed all the inspiration through the hop: the pretty bow, the cards... In rainy days I love crafting with my kids. My 7 yeras old son have his own scrapbook with about 13 pages about dinosaurs and Ben 10, LOL! Thanks for the blog hop and the chance to win that awesome prize!

  23. Truly enjoyed your hop. Each DT project was so beautiful and inspiring. It was hard to move on because I didn't want to leave. My favorite summer activity with kids is to read and do crafts. My granddaughter loves to have us make paper doll clothes and cards for her friends. She will be a veteran card maker soon. (She is 5 now.) School doesn't begin until after Labor Day and I want to have more time with all the grandkids.

  24. I say pull out your books and get to reading. books can take kids and adults anywhere in the world, so you aren't really stuck inside on a rainy day when you read a book!

  25. Great blog hop! Thanks for all the inspiration. Our favorite rainy day activity is either the WII or movies and popcorn. 5 more weeks til school starts.

  26. I really enjoyed this hop! What great ideas for using beautiful ribbon! I don't have any kids, so I have no idea when school starts! :P But my favorite thing to do on a rainy day is to watch movies with my hubby, or read and listen to the rain on the roof!

  29. I always thought of rainy days as Gods way of saying "slow down". These were the days I would spend quality time with my children, and they loved to get out a board game and have a family challenge. (Although the rule of playing games always is, I'm the winner even if I don't win.) Which is harly ever with my competitive group!!Lol. Ahhhhh, miss those rainy days!

  30. Of course crafting and making cards would be the favorite rainy day kid activity-my daughter loves to make cards too, and probably about 50 some days left. I have became a follower-can't believe I wasn't already!! I love your ribbons-the quality is GREAT--and I love my bow easy!!!
    Loved the hop---so much inspiration!!

  32. Loved the hop, great showcases of artwork. 39 days left until my granddaughter returns to school as a senior. When she is with me she loves to write stories and draw and she is quiet the little artist. We scrapbook her stories and drawings in one book which will be hers to keep someday.

  33. Thanks for the great hop! We don't get much rain, so when it comes, we usually spend some time in the quiet, listening to it hit the patio roof and smelling the "just rained smells." If it is day time, we go out in it and play for awhile. If it is cold and coming down hard, we have a popcorn and movie day.
Most of the area goes back to school in 8 days, but my girls are so excited to be going to a great new school and get another 35 days on top of it. We are all THRILLED BY THIS!!!

  34. Oooh, I love this color assortment and the goodies too! So my favorite rainy day activity with my own kids was always crafting! Whether making things with Play Doh, stamping, or making paper bag hand puppets, I always loved pulling out the craft supplies and glue! (still do!)

  36. We have been experiencing alot of rainy days and stormy days, we like to play hide and seek and then have a picnic on the front porch and watch the weather.

Since my oldest is going to school for the first time in my area there is 54 more days until school starts.

I loved the hop and all the beautiful creations the talented design team had for us. Thanks for sharing

  37. My "kids" are in their 20s now and we're into gaming and movies - great rainy day activities, IMHO. One son's in summer classes starting this past week in college; the other's in his final year and starts Sept 6th - that's 65 days from now! Thanx for the inspirational blog hop ... and the blog candy opp!

  38. Well, I have several rainy day activities that I love doing with my little man ( 2 1/2 ), but I think waterpainting is his favorite right now, he get's so excited and I can just let him go at it on the kitchen floor knowing it will easily wipe up when he's done! Thanks so much!

  40. My kids are teens now so their favorite rainy day activity is much different now than when they were young. They used to love to paint on rainy days. I had a 2 sided easel and they would paint for what seemed like hours. All of their msterpieces would be strewn on newspaprer spread out across the floor until they were dry. We start summer vacation late- the end of June so have just started. School starts after Labor Day on Sept 6th so we hae 55 days left. I actually do not mind as our pace slows a little- but only little. Once fall is here it feels like we do not take a breath again until June!

  41. Since I don't have any childern I 'll answer this first question as to what I loved to do the most as a kid, which was to color and draw, I use to spend hours doing this creating stories in my head to go along with whatever I was drawing. Love the blog hop...as always a lot of fun!

  42. I like to bake bread or cookies on a rainy day. It warms the house, creates great aromas, and is delicious to eat! 40 days until school starts. I'm always sorry to have summer end because it's such a lovely break and we do lots of fun things.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Our fav rainy day project is to make play doh or cookies. School starts in 38 days. Thanks for the blog candy chance. treasurespastnpresent@live.com

  44. AWESOME hop! I loved the versatility of the ribbon based on all the completely different projects!! It was fun!

We don't have babies at home anymore, so we don't really need to worry about rainy day projects or school start dates!!! When we did, me and the kids used to love to make beads from FIMO dough and old magazine pages. I remember us doing that for hours and hours!

  46. my baby is away at college, he is in a 5 yr program for Chemical Enginering, so he's gone full time since he started w just a few days home here and there. so i think about how many days until he's home again.... that would be 30, he'll be home for a w'end then begin the fall semester. when the kids were little our fav rainy day activities would include some craft project, a book and puddle splashing in bare feet!

  47. My girls like to make cards with me. and I actually am not sure as they haven't sent out the start date yet, but I am guessing there are about 35 days left till school starts!
