Hot Cocoa Sleigh with RRR

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Today's post is a Hot Cocoa Sleigh I put together for a gift and for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous ribbons that Bonnie carries in the shop.

For the sleigh I bought it at Hobby Lobby and then used the cricut to cut out some vinyl for the Merry Christmas. Next I used the Plaid Ribbon Christmas in the 5/8" and 3/8" for the bows on the sleigh and the hot cocoa jar. for the chocolate spoons I used the grosgrain Swiss dot ribbon in 3/8" . I hot glued the ribbons, poinsettias and holly leaves on the sleigh. I did tie on a gingerbread boy spoon for the hot cocoa. and there are two gnome ornaments inside the sleigh. Super fun to make . Lastly I used a sweetheart blossom on the holly leaves and its hot glued on as well

Hope you enjoyed my post today and thank you so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all
Hugs, Cheryl

Quick and Easy Holiday Photo Ornaments

Hi there friends.  Today I am sharing a quick and easy photo ornament made with ribbons and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon that was shared with me from our very creative design team alum Nancy Hill.  You can find Nancy over on her personal blog HERE.

You will need a 4" wooden hoop, some ribbon, double-sided tape, hot glue gun or adhesive of your choice and some mulberry flowers and/or other embellishments of your choice.

Adhere 1/4" Scor-Tape around the outside of the hoop.  Then wrap your ribbon around the hoop, overlapping just a bit as you go for complete coverage.  Once the hoop is completely covered with ribbon, create your bow and gather the embellishments you have selected.

Adhere your embellishments to the ribbon covered hoop with hot glue or the adhesive of your choice and then crop your photo and attach to the back and you have a beautiful ornament to gift to someone you love.

I'm not even going to link individual ribbons and flowers because you can use any ribbon you happen to have in just about any width and whatever flowers are your favorites.  This is such a versatile craft and you can complete it in minutes and is perfect for using up those ribbon scraps you can't bear to throw out.

Wishing you all a very safe, healthy and happy holiday season.

Believe

I believe!  I believe in the true meaning of Christmas.....the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  On a lighter note, I also believe in having FUN at Christmas time.  At our house, we have always done a version of "Santa Claus", leaving out cookies and filling our stockings (even though the kids knew it was always Mom and Dad), I believe in the "magic" of snowmen, and all the fun make-believe things that make Christmas exciting to celebrate.  We can honor God while still having fun celebrating the things we believe in and that help us make Christmas a really special time for everyone.  The card I'm sharing today celebrates the "magic" of a Winter Snow Globe; and Really Reasonable Ribbon helped me bring it to life.
I used basic black cardstock on my base that I layered with a Lawn Fawn Perfect Plaid patterned paper and then a layer of white cardstock.  I used the cute Snow Globe Tag Dies from Trinity Stamps to create everything in the snow globe.  I tied a length of Solid Cream Baker's Twine to the top of the (tag) snow globe.  Yes, I do LOVE Baker's Twine because it's such a fabulous trim, it comes in oodles of colors of both solids and stripes, and it costs just TEN CENTS PER YARD ($0.10).  Yes, please!
Towards the bottom of my card, I added a length of White Crochet Lace1/4" Red Satin Ribbon, and a festive Reindeer on Emerald Green Grosgrain Ribbon.  I also added a tied bow again using the 1/4" Red Satin Ribbon.  Each piece of trim is held securely in place using a fabulous Adhesive called Scor-Tape.  I love using Scor-Tape because it, too, comes in various widths and holds things in place to stand the test of time.
Because the snow globe is an actual tag, I made an extra one that I tied with a length of Solid Red Baker's Twine.  This tag can be used on a gift, or as a bookmark...whatever the recipient chooses.  Just a quick change in the color of the Baker's Twine, and you're all set.
What are you creating this month?  I'm sure you can find many wonderful products at Really Reasonable Ribbon to help you make beautiful cards and projects.  Not only do they carry every ribbon and trim you can imagine, but they carry SO much more.  We hope you'll stop by the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog for some inspiration and by RRR for some FUN Christmas shopping.  Thanks so much for visiting today.

God bless you,
Karen

Christmas Wishes Across the Miles Card

Today I am sharing another Christmas card with a little glitz. I used ribbon and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with digital stamps and svg cut files from Bonnie Garby Designs.

I created a 4-3/4″ x 6-1/2″ card with loads of layers. My digital sentiment from Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of Gold Glitz Ribbon topped with  Holiday Ornaments on White Satin Ribbon across the center of the card.  I topped it off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow and below the sentiment I have added some pretty 10,15 and 20mm red Open Roses.

The sentiment on the front of my card is from my Clean and Simple Christmas Sentiments Digi Stamp Bundle. The interior Sentiment is from the Vintage Christmas Sentiments for the Inside Digital Stamp Bundle. The background was created with the Circles in Line Overlay SVG Bundle. All my designs can be found on my Bonnie Garby Designs Etsy shop.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the digital stamp bundles I used on my card today.

Kris Kringle Korker Bow

Hi there all my Fellow Ribbon Loving Friends!
Misty here today sharing a fun Korker bow with you that I made to give as a gift
to a special little girl!

Just as I begin every project, I gathered all of my supplies and ribbon that I thought that I would need.
Of course, the Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop has it all!!
For this bow, I knew that I would need lots of 3/8 inch Grosgrain with a Christmassy theme.
I gathered up some of my favorites that I had on handed began wrapping the dowel rods.
I use wooden clothes pins to secure the ribbon at both ends to the wooden dowels. WOODEN is vital because this goes into the oven. **I bake Christmas ribbon where most people are baking Christmas cookies!  Ha ha ha!
Preheat your oven to 275* degrees before sitting to begin wrapping your ribbon.

Christmas Bold Chevron on White Grosgrain Ribbon

Reindeer on Emerald Green Grosgrain Ribbon

Once you have wrapped your ribbon around the dowels, place them all onto a large cookie sheet.  Do not overlap, as they will stick together. As you can see below, I like to stand them up on the clothes pins and let them lean on one another acting as spacers between the actual ribbons.
These go into the oven for 30 minutes.

Once they come out of the oven, they will need to cool completely before you begin working with them.  This is not only for safety precautions to prevent you from burning your fingers, but also because the ribbon will not keep the curl if you move it too soon.

The next steps are pretty easy and self explanatory...
1. I line my ribbon up on a ruled cutting mat
2. I use a rotary cutter and cut the ribbons into 3-4 inch segments, depending on how big I want the actual bow to be.
3 gather all the segments, tie them securely and create your bow, then embellish as desired.

Below are the two bows that I created with my 1st round of Ribbon Baking this year.

For one bow, I left it as it was and only added a few jewels and embellishments.
For the other, I added in some maribou feathers to liven it up a bit...and give it some SASS!

I absolutely love making these Korker bows and I do think that the little girls that I give them to love them as well.

Maybe you can give it a try and find that you love them, too!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
Be sure to head on over to the  Really Reasonable Ribbon Shop and gather us some ribbon for your next projects!

Baby I't's Cold Outside Card

Hi there and Happy Wednesday!

Misty (@Mommyofkidz) here with you today sharing a super cute card that I got conned into making!

My oldest Daughter has an office party coming up where they all drew names for a secret Santa gift exchange. Apparently, she has hyped me and my crafting abilities up so much that they all expect an amazing handmade gift from her-or should I say FROM ME!!??.  Keep in mind that she has not lived at home with me since 2021!  I reminded her of that and she got whiny like she did when she was twelve....

She says,"But Maaaamaaaaa, you have to do it for me. PUUULLLLEEEASSSSEEE!

And of course...

I did.

I dug deep into my stash and brought out some of my all time favorite ribbons to use for accents for this card.

Plaid Ribbon Black Bold Check

Baker's Twine Metallic Black/White/Silver

12 mm White Flat Back Pearls

Once all that was added, I thought that it needed something more.
The perfect addition was just a tad bit of Lace on the top of the mitten...and then viola!

 Perfection!

I think my daughter was happy with her free handmade card! Thanks for stopping by today!
Be sure to head over the Really Reasonable Ribbon site and pick up your supplies to make handmade cards for all of your holiday parties!
