My Beautiful Daughter

Today I am posting my first project on Really Reasonable Ribbon's blog and I chose to share a project I made using my beautiful daughter's picture.
This month at Really Reasonable Ribbon, the Ribbon Club Assortment is so delicious! Look at all those rich Gold and Silvers. Are you a member of the Monthly Ribbon Club? Let me tell you there are some great perks to getting these assortments. I have found that I try ribbons I would have never seen or tried unless I got them in the Monthly Ribbon Club assortment.
Let me share a recycle project and fun design using some of my favorites.
I found this shadowbox frame in clearance because the side had a tear where the price tag or a label was.
Now doesn't that yummy ribbon work well right there?
This silver diamond pattern can be found in this great assortment also .
I also used the Silver Satin with Silver Edges to make bows and decorate the corners.
I wanted to share that that beautiful green flower is a gift from a talented Natasha. The red flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
So hopefully you are signed up to receive your RRR Monthly Ribbon Club assortment- you are going to love it!!!

Happy Holidays!

I have a Confession:

I am not one that usually makes Christmas cards.
Heck, I don't even buy Christmas cards.
I just don't send them.
I have so many things on my "To-Do" list every year that
I completely forget to send out cards, so I just quit doing it years ago.

This year, however, I have a much tighter budget and I thought I would give this Christmas Card thing one more shot.  I wanted to make a card that could easily be duplicated by my kids, so that they could help.  I also wanted it to look elegant without being too bulky to send in the mail.

I found some pipe cleaners last year at the Dollar Store that look like pine garland.  I decided to use them to make a mini wreath to go on the front of the cards and just add one big red bow to it.  I used shimmer satin red ribbon for my bow and just a simple generic greeting.
Here is what I came up with:

This was so easy, that my 6 year old even made a few!
Now, I can't WAIT to get them sent out!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a fantastic weekend!

Merry Christmas Penguin

Hi everyone! Joanna Bandelin here, I'm so excited to be joining the new RRR Design Team! Today is my very first post and I hope you enjoy my holiday card. My style is always bright and colorful and of course having a love of ribbon and twine always helps! :)
For my card I used some awesome Red/White/Green Diagonal Stripe Grosgrsin ribbon and paired it with a bit of  Christmas Baker's Twine ((I LOVE the 3 color combo of the baker's twine!)).
I gave my sweet penguin a mini twine pop. They are super easy peasy to make, just dab a bit of hot glue to some scrap paper,  add the twine and wrap in a circle. I used half of a toothpick as the stick..and done!
I hope this gets you in the mood for some holiday crafting! :)
Have a great day!

A Circle of Crocheting

Good morning! Judy Rozema here. I am excited to share my first post as a member of the RRR Design Team! What an honor! I LOVE all of the wonderful products that RRR offers, and Bonnie is a gem to work with!
My card today features one of my favorite trims, Amelia White Crochet Lace. A beautiful cotton lace that comes in 2 yard pieces, or a whole spool (my preference!), this lace could be easily dyed, or left the pure white color, as I did here.
It made a perfect edging for my stamped circle. Click on either photo for a close-up view.

My images are by Rubber Stamp Tapestry. More details about this card can be found on my blog, Joy in a JAR. I hope you will stop by there too!

Be sure to check out this week's challenge HERE. Thanks for stopping by today!

Now, let's see your Christmas creations! The winner will receive a $10 gift certificate to Really Reasonable Ribbon . We will also be drawing a random winner from all the entries to win a second $10 gift certificate to Really Reasonable Ribbon. How cool is that!!! We will be announcing the winners on November 15th.

Here's what you need to do:

* Create a new project using the posted theme. A layout, card, ATC, home decor item, hair bow, or anything your can think of.
* You may enter as many times as you like, but you're asked to provide newly designed projects. No back-linking please.
* All projects must also include some sort of ribbon/lace/trim.
* Post your project on your blog or an online gallery (using code RRR35) and link it here with the Inlinkz tool below. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
* You have until November 12th at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects.

Thanks so much for playing and good luck.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customise > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog till you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)
