  2. My favorite baked Christmas treat are a Scandinavian cookie called Sandbakkels. They are light and buttery, and SO delicious. I make them every year, and I use my Grandma's original Sandbakkel tins. Here's a link if anyone would like to see them: http://www.handsoccupied.com/sandbakkels/

  9. Oh my! I have enjoyed every stop along the way of this amazing hop. I love the cards and decorating ideas and lovely ways of adding some of the pretty ribbon to everything.
Thank you so much for sharing. :)
As for fav Christmas treats, I dream all year for a taste of my home made gluten free Fruitcake. I know its not always the most popular treat but I add lots of spices and toasted pecans and glace cherries. Nothing says Christmas more to me than a hot cup of tea and a slice of the cake while curled up in the arm chair listening to the carols by the lights of the tree. Snowflakes floating by the windows just makes everything perfect. <3

  10. Beautiful projects and Ribbon!
My favorite cookie is from a recipe
my mom got from the PTA. They’re called
Patrol Dillys because allegedly moms used to bring in baked goods for the patrol guards. Patrol guards used to be 6th-8th grade boys ( sorry-it was the 1960s-70’s) who were crossing guards for several school crosswalks by our school. Drivers actually used to stop when the patrol boys would whistle and extend their flagged poles across the street. There were no cell phones or TEXTING back then. Anyway, you lay graham crackers on a greased jelly roll pan (with sides on it), melt butter and mix in sugar and vanilla until bubbly. Add some chopped nuts and pour over the top of the graham crackers. Bake for 10 mins until butter mixture bubbles over the crackers. Cool just a little (don’t let them cool too much or the butter/sugar coating starts to harden and makes it hard to cut) cut apart and place on surface to cool completely. They taste like toffee. Sometimes we melt some chocolate and drizzle over the top.

  11. LOve your new group of ribbons!!! So festive and perfect for all our holiday cards we are making! Love Christmas cookies but mostly in decorating them so my fav is just yummy plain sugar cookies and gingerbread men. I make them and chocolate dipped pretzels each year and they make such nice gifts!
