Hippety Hoppity Here Comes the Easter Bunny!

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  Here in North Carolina, the grass is getting green, the trees are starting to bud, and the daffodils are poking up out of the ground.  Spring is definitely on the way, and you know that means the Easter Bunny will be here soon!  Time to break out our March Ribbon Club Assortment and make beautiful springtime projects!

This is my very first Easter card of 2018.  Don't you just love these sweet little Easter Bunnies?  I've dressed this card up with Turquoise Shimmer Satin Ribbon from the March Ribbon Club Assortment.  This assortment is perfect for springtime crafting!   I've topped it off with a loopy Ivory Burlap String Bow and a flower from my stash.

I've tucked a bunch of little Easter treats into pockets on the inside of the card.

The upper pocket has this sweet little tag and a mini envelope filled with a tiny wrapped chocolate.

The bottom pocket has this cutie patootie tea bag wallet and honey stick inside.  I've dressed up the honey stick with a double loop bow tied with Green Flash Diamond Satin Ribbon.

I hope I've shared some ribbon tips and tricks that you can use in your own Easter crafting.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Miniature Easter Baskets

Hello friends! Linsey here today sharing these fun and unique little baskets made completely from RRR Burlap String. These were easier than I expected and they turned out so cute! I hope you like them too!
I used a plastic bottle cap as the mold to make my baskets. I used Light Blue Burlap String and Ivory Burlap String with glue to make my 2 mini baskets. The fibers and consistency of the burlap works perfectly to create a very realistic basket feel. Let dry completely and then carefully remove from bottle cap and you have your basket shape. Then, just add a little handle and attach to each inner side with a tiny dot of glue. Embellish as desired. I added a tiny wooden flower to the fronts and a bit of green "grass" by cutting up Parrot Green Burlap String.  I love anything miniature, so these were really fun to make! I hope you like them too! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Happy crafting

For the Birds..by Cherry Nelson

Hello paper peeps!!!  Cherry here at the RRR Blog.  This post is literally for the birds or about the birds.  Either way they are the perfect harkener to spring.

First a sweet tag with a dimensional house that I assembled and trimmed down to fit my tag.
I covered it in papers and gave it a white wash effect with a chalkboard pen and a bit of Gesso.
I used Baby Pink Stamens and both my projects used Baby Pink Seam Binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I have been enjoying the combination of pinks and yellows.  Such a sweet color combo in my opinion.
My next project is an altered egg carton.  This would be so sweet to fill with chocolates as an Easter gift for a friend, child, or hostess.
With March here...spring really should be in the air...but Oregon literally just seemed to get around to winter.

Hope you enjoy!!!  Thanks for visiting the RRR blog today!  Cherry

Chicken Pin Cushions

Hello Crafty Friends, and Happy Friday to you all! Today I'm sharing a Chicken Pin Cushion that I made using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon to embellish with. It's always nice to find other ways to use ribbon and laces, and I think this was a fun way! I Love how these turned out, using ribbons, seam binding, lace, flowers, and leaves all from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
So for the tail feathers I chose to rouche up seam binding instead of using material.  I used this in place of it. This is the Rose Petal Seam Binding from RRR.  I also wanted to use some ribbons, and chose for my ribbon treatment on my chicken to use the Delicate Stitched Ribbon and Pink Canvas Colored Band with Stitched Edge Ribbon.  I used a Rose bud in Hot pink and 2 metal Antique Bronze leaf charms to finish off my ribbon treatment. For the the top feathers I used the beautiful Lace called Arianna Lace.

Really Reasonable Ribbon supplies used:
Rose Petal Seam Binding
Delicate Stitched Ribbon
Pink Canvas Colored Band with stitched edge
Antique Bronze Leaf Charms
Rose Buds
Arianna Lace

The material I used is one of my Favorites, it's called Welcome Home.  It's a cotton, and I love the shabby chic/Vintage look along with all of the beautiful supplies from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used a lot of my favorites on this one. I ended up making 5 of these pin cushions some with feathers, and others with the lace and seam binding, super fun project if you like to give it a try :)
Here is a photo of two of the chickens I made. The smaller one was made from leftover quilting squares I had. I also used the same seam bindings, adding a white one, and then some white lace. Love how sweet these are. Such a fun project to make. To make these little Chicken pin Cushions you can view the YouTube video from Missouri Star Quilt company.
Thank you for looking and have a lovely day!
Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Nature Sketchbook Mini Album

Hello there and happy Thursday to you. It's the first of the month so that means I get to share the first project I created using the Ribbon Club Assortment for March.
This is such a sweet springy mix.  As soon as I saw it I zeroed in on that gorgeous Diamond Satin because it just went so well with the Nature Sketchbook collection that was on my work desk.

I think you would agree that this is a match made in heaven right??? Also I may have gone a bit overboard on the flowers....nahhhhhh.
Those beautiful blooms from Wild Orchid Craft just coordinate so well!!!

Really Reasonable Ribbon~ March Ribbon Club Assortment, Cottage Roses, Trellis Roses, Chrysanthemums, Cherry Blossoms, Rose Buds, Spiral Stamens.

Please enjoy this flip through and process video on how I created this album...

Wishing everyone a happy and productive day : ) G
