You Are Beautiful Card with Ribbon Strips

Hi friends! Happy Saturday and Happy National Scrapbooking Day (if you celebrate)! Today I have a card to share with you. I had fun with a new stamp set I got called Flamingo Party. I made my own background with different stamps and inks and added some fabulous Really Reasonable Ribbon in a unique way. I hope you like it!
I used one of my very favorite ribbons, the 1/8" Diagonal Stripe Ribbon in Black/White to adorn the top and bottom of the card. This ribbon is super versatile and seems to coordinate with just about everything. Love it!
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you've found a bit of inspiration in my card. Happy crafting!

Hello everyone! It's time for a new challenge here at Really Reasonable Ribbon. Please scroll down to the next post for the winners of the last challenge.

The theme for Challenge #163 is Mother's Day.
Create a card, layout, multi media piece, tag, ATC, hair bow, you name it. Just be sure to follow the theme above and use ribbon, lace or trim somewhere on your project.

*******************

Here is a little inspiration from our design team for challenge #163 to get you started.  All of the sample projects feature ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

************************

Now, let's see your Mother's Day creations!
We will be selecting our top three favorite projects to feature, so stop back on May 19th to see our picks along with our next challenge theme.

Here's what you need to do:
* Create a new project using the posted theme. A layout, card, ATC, home decor item, hair bow, or anything you can think of provided it fits the weekly theme.
* You may enter up to 6 projects, but you're asked to provide newly designed projects. No back-linking please.
* All projects must also include some sort of ribbon, lace or trim.
* A maximum of 6 entries per person per challenge please.
* Post your project on your blog or an online gallery (using code RRR163) and link it here with the Inlinkz tool below. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
* You have until Wednesday May 17th at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects. Thanks so much for playing and good luck.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customize > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog until you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)

I used a fun color combo of turquoise, green, and red.
A little hand stamping and a stuffed fabric strawberry! This should make someone feel "berry special" this Mother's day.

Ribbon Tutu for Baby's 1st Birthday

Hello everyone. Today I am super excited to share with you all this super darling Really Reasonable Ribbon Tutu I created for my granddaughter Chloey's 1st Birthday. She lives in California, and will be arriving here this coming weekend.  I can't wait to see my daughter, grandbaby, and son-in-law.

On this ribbon tutu I used LOTS of ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon. The size of this tutu is for 9-12 months, and uses 24 yards of ribbon, and 12 yards of tulle. Super fun and easy to make. I used two 6 yard pieces of off the bolt tulle, and then 24 yards of 7/8" Circus Dots Grosgrain Ribbon in bright pink.. I LOVE how this one turned out. I will be making the onesie to go with this, it will be Minnie Mouse themed. I have also seen these done with the Satin Ribbon in 7/8" and they look so beautiful as well. I might have to try that on the next one I make :)

The bow was created using the same ribbon. I made 3 loops on each side, and then tied a piece of ribbon to knot it, and then tied it over the bow.
I hope you enjoyed my post for today! I truly enjoyed creating this, and hope to share some photos later with this on the baby :)

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

I don't know what it is about the red, white and blue color combination, but it just seems to 'sing' on every project.  This month the Really Reasonable Ribbon May Ribbon Club Assortment is all about red, white and blue and I'm having a blast with these ribbons!

This month we have a great special!

The April assortment has 9 styles and a total of 17 yards of ribbon and trim.  The May assortment has 9 styles and a total of 18 yards of ribbon.  Each monthly assortment is a holiday or color themed assortment of ribbon.  What a fun way to build your ribbon stash and try new ribbon styles.

Really Reasonable Ribbon also carries a fabulous line of Mulberry Flowers that are perfect for all your crafty creations.  Head on over and take a look at all the different flower options that are available.  The flowers I used today below my sentiment panel are 15 and 20mm Open Roses in red, white and blue.
My pretty bi-color double-loop bow was made on my Bow-it-All V3.0 using two styles from the May Ribbon Club Assortment.  I also used some additional ribbon from the assortment to wrap around the middle of my card under the sentiment panel.  My bow was embellished with a pretty 8 mm Flat Back Pearl.

For a video tutorial on how to make this beautiful bow, please click HERE.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on the other items used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft blog.

Happy 4th of July Patriotic Wall Hanging

Happy 1st of the month peeps! Just dropping in to share my first project with the new Patriotic Assortment Ribbon Club Selection.

This will be perfect for all the summer holiday projects! Great solids with fun and festive patterns!
I created a wall hanging just because I was in the mood to make extra bows lol.
Stars and stripes are my favorite Americana themed patterns. I die cut the base and added layers of 110 lb cardstock to ensure that it would be nice and sturdy.
The focal image is a digital tag from my shop. It's got a metal eyelet with thick twine pulled through and glass glitter stars peeking out from behind.
Coordinating flowers are layered in with Spiral Stamens and a large chipboard sentiment.
The crisp white paper doily works great to break up the busy patterns.
Isn't this bow fabulous??? There's a solid taffeta with the satin quatrefoil on top then twine and last but not least an epoxy patterned brad.
Okay that's all for me. I can't wait to get more projects started with this ribbon club selection....and get my house all decked out for the summer holidays : ) G
