Be Someone's Sunshine! Memo Pad Tutorial

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I just love my first post here each month, because I get to share a project made with the fabby new Ribbon Club Assortment.  The July Collection is as bright and fun as a pot of petunias!  Take a look:

I fell in love with the Geranium Pink Taffeta Ribbon and decided it was a good match for some Simple Stories Sunshine & Happiness paper that I had in my stash.  And since I am the forgetful sort, I decided it would be a good idea to create a little to-do list notepad for myself.

I just wrapped the notebook with the Geranium Pink Taffeta and tied a simple square knot.  Easy peasy!  And I added a loopy bow made with Ivory Natural Burlap String beneath my pretty pink posey.

I had a few snips of Geranium Pink Lattice Print Satin leftover from another project, so I cut some banner flags and tucked them beneath the focal.

The inside has a slash pocket and a little memo pad.  I  made one of these fun notebooks with a bee theme a few weeks back, and you all asked me for a tutorial...and because I love my Ribbon Peeps, I put together this Snapguide tutorial so you can make one of your own.  You'll find it below this post.

Check out How to Make a Decorative Notebook With Chipboard by Kathy Clement on Snapguide.
If you have kids home from school who are bored, bored, bored...this is a great project to make together.  Even little people have fun decorating the cover after the book is built.  So be someone's sunshine today, and pull out your crafty stash!

Thanks for stopping by!  Now go get your craft on!

Cheerio,

Sweet Friendship

Hello everyone and Happy 4th of July to all!
Today I wanted to share my card created for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the Beautiful 4th of July Ribbon "Flag Grosgrain " I also used the Beautiful Sweetheart Blossoms from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
So for my card today I used some Patriotic design paper I had picked up when I worked at AC. I thought it would go perfectly with Really Reasonable Ribbons Patriotic Flag Ribbon. Love this ribbon, it's so easy to make big beautiful bows with it, and love the way it lays.

Flowers I used are the Sweetheart Blossoms, and those can be found here. LOVE that Bonnie carries these in tons of colors, and now in miniature as well.
Card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Supplies used:
Really Reasonable Ribbon's Sweetheart Blossoms
Really Reasonable Ribbons Flag Grosgrain in 1 3/8"
Really Reasonable Ribbon 3-D Foam Tabs
Bazzill design paper
JustRite dies
MS punch
button from my stash

Thank you for looking and have a wonderful 4th!!!

Blessings to all,
Cheryl

Zutter Bow-it-All V3.0 Video Tutorial - Basic Double-Loop Bow

Hi friends.  Today I am sharing a new Basic Double-Loop bow video tutorial made on the Zutter Bow-it-All V3.0.  This is a bow that can be used for just about any project and it's a great one to learn.  The beautiful ribbon and the Bow-it-All V3.0 can be found at Really Reasonable Ribbon.
I love this bow and use it quite a often because it's a bit subdued, but it still looks great while not overpowering the other details on the card.  The wonderful sentiment came from Inspired by Stamping and the dies are all from Cheery Lynn designs.

My bow was made with 5/8" Royal Blue Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon which is not only one of my favorite ribbon styles, but inexpensive as well.  This ribbon is available in over 30 colors!
Here is a close-up of this wonderful bow.  See how great the center pleats on this bow look?

If you've been interested in the Bow-it-All, but have not yet pulled the trigger and ordered, I urge you to treat yourself.  This is my all time favorite tool and I use it all the time.  I could NEVER make beautiful bows like this by hand.  If you love adding beautiful bows to  your projects, you will LOVE this tool.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  For more information on other products used on my card, please visit my Make Time to Craft Blog.

We will be selecting our top three favorite projects to feature, so stop back on July 15th to see our picks along with our next challenge theme.

* You may enter up to 6 projects, but you're asked to provide newly designed projects. No back-linking please.
* All projects must also include some sort of ribbon, lace or trim.
* A maximum of 6 entries per person per challenge please.
* Post your project on your blog or an online gallery (using code RRR144) and link it here with the Inlinkz tool below. Please provide a direct link to your post, not an entire blog.
* You have until Wednesday July 13th at 11:59 PM Eastern time to enter your projects. Thanks so much for playing and good luck.

PLEASE consider turning off your word verification.
It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customize > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog until you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)
