Our question of the month is:
What have you been crafting this summer - if anything? Did you have kids home and were you kid crafting as well? When I was a kid I crafted ALL summer long!
I don't know about you, but I find summer to be very stressful because I'm pulled in so many different directions. There is regular work-work, gardening and other outside chores, I want to spend time with family, etc and it's just so hard to find some quiet 'me' time for crafting. I always look forward to the cooler and less stressful days of Autumn. How about you?

Thanks so much for hopping with us today. We hope you'll stop by and so some shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon soon.

Such an amazingly talented group of people! These new colors are just gorgeous! Now to answer the questions. I have been making my usual cards with the addition of starting into canvas and mixed media art. I've gotten an art journal that I'm starting soon too. My youngest just finished her first year of college and is home for another three weeks so I'm enjoying having her with me.
ReplyDeleteBecause my family lives overseas,I am a great grand-mother; I use the summer to make birthday cards, and a jump start on the holidays. RRR ribbon club gives me the choice of colors and design. In Texas heat, the fall colors, are refreshing.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so very gorgeous! I love the colors! I haven't been crafting a lot lately. This summer has been busy with my niece moving her little family here I get to play my little great niece and she is quite a handful. Thanks so much for a chance to win these gorgeous ribbons!
ReplyDeleteI craft all the time. It keeps me going especially since the Summer heat bothers me. I have made cards, ribbon dolls, tags, ATC's, and a few scrapbook pages. Edwina Brown
ReplyDeleteLovely selection of
ReplyDeletecolors. I have started
weaving on a loom this
summer! Lots of fun.

I have not been able to craft much at all. I work 4 days a week, take care of all of the bill paying, grocery shopping, cooking and indoor cleaning (in the summer). My husband handles the outdoor gardening, yard work, cleaning because my allergies are so bad. My mother in law passed away earlier this summer, so now we have to clean her house out. We have had a lot of instruments down at work lately, some due to cooling problems in our laboratory, so work has been very stressful. Even if I have time to do a little crafting, I have little energy for it. The past week, we have been trying to watch some of the Olympics. We also watch our grandson a couple days a week in the summer. I agree, Bonnie--I am looking forward to fall :-)
ReplyDeleteAmazing work, ladies! I've just been making hair bows. Thank you for the contest and good luck to everyone.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the blog hop! This summer I have been making birthday cards for family and friends! Also anniversary cards when needed. We have had such hot and humid weather in Northern Illinois, that it is too hot to do anything outside and guess I have not been too ambitious in the crafting department either. Sometimes I would rather read a bit. I hope we have a nice long fall to enjoy.
Marlei
I do love all of your beautiful ribbons... I have to get some satin ribbon as have learned how to make double bows using just my fingers. Along with my gardening, part time work and housework, I do try to squeeze in some crafting.. I love making cards for all of the special occasions and even am going to get starting early (I think and hope) making some Christmas cards.. get a jump start this year! I always wait until the last minute! I also have a thing for making little boxes and paper purses, and always needs some ribbon for those! No kids around my house.. just neighbor kids who come and help out now and then. Central Oregon is very hot right now, so am staying in the house pretty much these days.
ReplyDeleteMost of my crafting this summer has been in creating cards and ATCs! I have also done just a bit of beading. I'm a total beginner at that!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is grown, so no kids to craft with. I do have a granddog, grandcat, and grandbird, but no crafts for them!
Thank you so much for a wonderful blog hop, all the designers did a spectacular job! I worked on Christmas ornaments this summer, along with a couple of other Christmas projects, and cards. I also entered a few challenges and swaps.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog hop. I have been working on cards for our church card ministry, felt and knitted projects for December craft shows and whenever the grandchildren come over we have fun in my craft room. They like to use my die cut machine.
ReplyDeleteI've been making pocketletters! I love these awesome little puppies and getting them in return and making new friends is great! Also, my usual layouts :) My kids were home so in between crafting we enjoyed many days at the beach and a quick trip up north to San Fran :)
ReplyDeleteSome really lovely projects here and stunning ribbon for sure!
Another fabulous blog hop I just don't know where these ladies come up with such wonderful projects and cards month after month! This has been a very unproductive Summer for me. It started in May when I had to make 5 sympathy cards! Even though I had birthday, wedding, and baby cards to make over the Summer I completely lost my MOJO! We have also had quite a few heat advisories this Summer and my house gets quite warm and it zaps my energy! I'm so looking forward o the day I open my front door and feel a stream of COOL AIR!
ReplyDeleteGreat hop! I do a little stamping in the summer months. Life, work and everything in between gets in the way-if only there was more hours in a day.
ReplyDeleteIt's been so hot here I've mostly stayed inside with the ac turned high. I have been working on a block of the month with wool appliqué. Getting ready to knit some scarfs and hats so they will be ready for winter wear :)
ReplyDeleteLove that fall ribbon. Makes me want fall. My kids are grown so no change for summer for me. I did lots of scrapbook pages of kids and grandkids and trips. Thanks for the chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI don't have kids of of my own yet, but I spent the summer making lots of cards for the birthdays of all my nieces, nephews and other relatives. Thanks for the fun Blog Hop. The ribbon collections are divine
