Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #1

Hello Everyone and welcome to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. Today marks our very first Challenge and we are super excited to have you play along.

Every 1st and 15th of the month, the Really Reasonable Ribbon Team will be hosting a ribbon challenge. Everyone can play along and link your creations to the bottom of the Challenge posts. Each challenge will be open for 13 days, then we will pick a winner. That special artist will receive a gift certificate to use on some FABULOUS ribbons at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. Now who doesn't like to use ribbon right!?!?

We will also be picking our top 3 projects, where you will be able to proudly put our "I'm a Top 3 winner at RRR" badge on your own blog.

Before we get started, we've got a few things we just have to share with you. Today we say ciao to our amazing May Guest Designer Cassie Box. Her ingenious creations including the cuff, diaper cake and banner, have been truly inspirational and we have been so blessed to have Cassie here on the team. She will continue on with us as a Ribbon Kit Club designer YEAH!!!!

Now our June Guest designer is...... Robbie Herring. Three cheers everyone for this awesome paper crafter. You will be inspired by her work Guaranteed. Here is a project to get your mouths watering to see more of Robbie's Creations.

So, our first Challenge is to create a masculine project. With Father's Day coming up here in North America, we figured you may need to create a thing or two anyway. The only rule for creating is that you've GOT TO USE RIBBON! You saw that coming right?
You could win a $10 gift certificate to pick out any ribbons you want. WAHOO!!!

Here are a few creations from our amazing team to give you some inspiration.

Trudy uses some amazing Jute Ribbon to create a fantastic card

Cheryl creates the perfect Father's Day card with beautiful ribbon embellishments made of Satin
Amber shows us how wonderful a masculine project looks with Sheer Loop

Kym uses the wonderful Grosgrain Stitched Ribbon in Moss Green for a sweet addition to this "hero" of a card.

Erika uses a combination of dark brown mini ric rac, 1/2" Brown Wrinkle ribbon and a 5/8" satin layered to create movement on her card

Gini created a great seascape inspired card using the Jute Ribbon

What great inspiration from our Design Team members. Now it's your turn to show us your masculine inspired projects.

The challenge is open until June 14th at 5PM CST, so get your entries in. We look forward to seeing your cards, scrapbook layouts, ATC's, Moos, altered art, mixed media... you name it, we want to see it.

PS. make sure to leave a link to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog on your blog entry. If you play along with us in this challenge and upload your card to a public forum, please use the code RRRC1 in your keyword or tag box, so we can find it.
