You had the perfect little dumpling to build a page around and you did it beautifully! I'm so happy to see so many shades of green in this collection, since it's one of my favorite colors. Such nice touches and unusual use of the ribbon. Love it.

Altered hanger

waving hi to everyone from the hills of North Carolina :)

I hope y'all are having a great week end and getting lots of crafty projects done! I'm trying to get some Christmas presents completed and this one is for my 'grand niece', well, really it's for her parents! She is such a cutie, but then I am a wee bit prejudiced, ;) I used a paint program on my computer to print out this soft muted picture of her and wanted a way to hang it up in her room, so I took a pant hanger and covered it in RRR's beautiful shimmer satin. Not only is this a cute way to hang a favorite picture, or a layout, but what about her favorite tutu when she has out grown it? That would be so cute!

20lb Hemp Cord Set Pastel

I used:
Yummy Hemp Cord in a Pastel Set, it really doesn't get much better than this...well, unless you lay your hands on the Shimmer Satin Pastel ribbons..... and, oh, together they are a little slice of heaven!

Shimmer Satin Pastel Assortment

I used both on my altered hanger.  Wrapping the hook with the gorgeous lavender hemp cord, which has a little texture to it and it wraps oh so beautifully! And adding the flower to the end of the hook is a great way to hide the push pin this is hanging from!

The lavender shimmer ribbon was wrapped around the hanger. I secured the end pieces with my hot glue gun and simply layered the ribbon around the hanger, much like you would do with a wreath. Just to let you know, you will need to use 4 yards of the ribbon, which leaves you plenty to....

....give your layout a stunning bow and accent!

If you're interested in the paint program, or the Cricut cuts, then just hop right on over to In the hills of North Carolina and I'll tell you all about them. ;) Also, I'm announcing who won my blog candy from the RRR blog hop!
I hope you're having a fabulous week end!

You Are Appreciated

Hi everyone!  I hope you have all had a great week.  I was lucky enough to spend a couple of days at CHA in Chicago this week and met some of my crafty friends in person.  We had a great time!

I have a pretty card for you today.

I just love hummingbird....we keep a ton of feeders out on our patio and my kids and I love to sit and watch them.  When I saw this file in the Silhouette Store I knew I wanted to cut it.  The beautiful floral paper is from DCWV.   This pretty shimmer satin ribbon matches perfectly with the glitter in the paper.

You can read more about my card on my blog.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

RRR July Blog Hop Winner!!

This is the second post of the day. Be sure to scroll down to see the beautiful project that Linda has made for us today.

Thank you so much for hopping along with us along with our friends from the CardMaker Blog this month on the Really Reasonable Ribbon's Ramblings Blog Hop. We had so much fun and we hope you did too!! We'll be hopping on the 13th of each month, so be sure to mark your calendars and join us again next month.

Our very own Trudy has a great post on the CardMaker Blog today, so head on over there, take a look and leave her some love!!

Don't forget, we have a SALE going on now through Saturday, 7/21.  You can find the sale codes HERE.  Take this opportunity to treat yourself to some ribbon goodies from Really Reasonable Ribbon!!

Wow, ice cream was the hot  (cold??) topic this month.  It looks like mint chocolate chip is the most favored flavor along with some vanilla purists.  lol  Lot's of Ben & Jerry lovers too, but varied flavors.  One flavor mentioned I had to look up.   Ever heard of Tiger Tiger ice cream?  It seems that it's orange ice cream with black licorice swirls.  Hmmm.  Not sure I'd like that one.  It must be a Canadian thing, eh??    :)

Now, on to our winner who will receive the July Ribbon Club Assortment along with the other fun goodies shown here which are all available at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

The winner will have 48 hours to contact me by clicking on the contact button at the top of the blog and sending me your full name and shipping address.

Happy Thursday Everyone...
Linda here and I cant wait for the weekend to come, to have a relaxing day to just do nothing and scrap all weekend! And for today, I would like to share with you a card creation using your favorite RRR collections!

I used two of the July Ribbon Club Collections; one wrapped the card vertically and the other one with double bow tie slipped behind the leaf.
For more information of this monthly club collections, please visit the store here!

To build the depth of the card, I started by adding paper doily and white satin flower and layer with another fuzzy cut flower with dotted glitter throughout for nice accent with matching color with the yellow cherry ribbon. Here is the detail photo;

Again, thank you so much for stopping by today.

Enjoy your week and Happy Shopping at Really Reasonable Ribbon!!

Christmas... in July?

Yep, you read that right! Since it's CHA week, most companies are coming out with their Christmas collections right now! It just seems too early for me, but I thought I would run with the idea!

My husband tells me every year to get started on making my Christmas cards in the Summer so I don't have to cram that into my schedule a week before Christmas. You would think it would be just that simple considering there is an abundance of new Christmas paper out, right? Yeah.. not so simple for me!

So this year, since I was crafting projects for a few booths at CHA, I decided to at least get a head start on a box to hold my Christmas Cards! I'm sure that has to count for something!

I used the new Handmade Holiday paper collection from Simple Stories, and of coarse, some very festive
Moss Green Double-faced Satin ribbon from the RRR store!

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope I was able to inspire you to get a little head start on your Christmas projects... it is only 5 months away you know! ;-)

♥ Emily
