Calendar

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with the Starting of a Yearly Calendar for Next Year :) I designed my Calendar using the Beautiful Ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon
Really Reasonable Ribbons Used:
Yellow Gold Grosgrain for the bows in the upper corners
Parrot Green Netting/ for the bottom of the tree
scalloped Trim/in the middle of the netting

I bought 6 Calendar sets from the DCWV Sale and wanted to start on them for next year. I'm not sure what made me decide to start with May.....LOL but im just glad I started it. Now I havent put it together yet, but will be showing the months as they are done, and then will show a video , once the entire Calendar is done.

The tree, Kitty, and the Family lettering are all from The Scrapping Cottage and are called CottageCutz dies! I used Helmar Premium Craft glue to put all the embellishments, and ribbon on here. As for the papers and layering I used Helmar's Acid Free Glue.

Now the spot above the kitty is where the photo's will be placed.
I really enjoyed doing this month for the calendar, and cant wait to share more months with everyone! Thank you for looking!!!

Hope you all have a lovely day!!1
Hugs,
Cheryl Walker

Happy Sunday

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I wanted to share a card that I did with some of  my older stamps. I know we all have (or most of us anyway, lol) those older stamps, put away in the back of the drawers and cabinets that are collecting dust. This time of year I'm always even more thankful for our military men and women and remembered a stamp that I had from Close To My Heart.

Well, I dug through the drawers and found it. I just added a bit of the pretty blue/silver trimmed ribbon from one of the monthly assortments and added some baker's twine around the corners. And I layered a little baker's twine bow on top. I have become addicted to doing that for some reason, I just like the look!

Here is the finished card:

Here is a clsoe up of the bow and corner detail.

and one more of the corner.

My husband was in the Navy, so I especially like this stamp!!! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like the card!!!

Happy Saturday to y'all!
What  wonderful day it is here in the Lonestar State, too!
I have a little project to share with you all that I did.

A personalized tissue box!

I bought an unfinished wooded tissue box from Michaels for like $3.
I used Mod Podge and paper to cover it...
and ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon to accent it!

I used the Penelope Natural Crochet Lace around the name plate
and a discontinued twill 1 1/2 inch ribbon, but I am sure you can find exactly what
you are looking for in the RRR store! Check out the new chevron twills!!!
Aren't they just awesome!!!

Have a magnificent day!  Oh...and don't forget to check out the challenge...it is super fun!

What's the buzzzzzzzzz.

happppppppppppppppy day to you! I have a short and sweet little project..pun intended.. using a few fun RRR and the fun Queen bee stamp set from Crafty secrets. I wanted a earthy nuetral look to this. I used some kraft harlequin papers that are actually from a new Halloween set and a diecut that I stamped. I paired the papers with my fave jute burlap ribbon in ivory ..I used it as a background on both the pocket and the tag . I also used black seambinding for a touch of sophistication. I wound black licorice twine through each tag and to top it off I used it as well as some jute twine around both sets with a little matching stamped tag. It makes a sweet little stationary set for a friend. Hope you enjoy! hugs, cherry

Together is Bliss

Did you see the new RRR Challenge yesterday? It's BLING AND RIBBON! I love me some bling! Today's card showcases two of my favorite RRR trims: Noelle White Crochet Lace and Light Green Curly Sparkling Trim.

The Curly Trim is woven inbetween the Wild Orchid paper roses. My background was made by brayering color into my Cuttlebug embossing folder, and then embossing.

I hope you will play along in the BLING AND RIBBON challenge!

Stamps: Unity Stamp Co.
Paper: PTI White
Ink: Pink Pirouette, Sahara Sand
Accessories: paper roses (Wild Orchid), Fancy Tags die (Spellbinders), bling (Recollections), embossing folder (Cuttlebug), Noelle Crochet Lace and Light Green Curly Sparkling trim (Really Reasonable Ribbon)

It would be a great help to us if you would consider turning off your word verification if it's active on your blog. To do this is really easy and all you need to do is go to Customise > Settings > Comments > then scroll down to where it says comment moderation and select always (this won't stop anybody leaving you a comment but they won't show on your blog till you approve them). Then scroll down to show word verification for comments? and select No.
We love to visit your blogs and leave comments on all the terrific entries, but the word verification really slows us down. :o)
