Old Fashioned 4th of July Banner

Hello, Ribbon Lovers!  I love a good old fashioned patriotic 4th of July celebration, don't you?  Remember those small town parades, lemonade stands, picnics by the lake and fireworks displays?  Those were the very best days of summer when I was growing up.  So I dipped into my supply of Patriotic Really Reasonable Ribbon and made this nostalgic banner. 

One of the things I enjoy about making banners is that you get to use all kinds of beautiful ribbons and trims!  Here's how I used ribbon on this vintage style banner:

• First, I stitched Patriotic Stars on Satin Ribbon to my white netting ribbon. 
• Then, I tied an Airmail Bakers Twine bow between each pennant, topping it with a button. 
• Next, I used my Zutter Bow it All Tool to tie a pair of 3 1/2" double loop Patriotic Plaid Bows and adhered them on each end of the banner. 
• Finally, I tied White Burlap String Bows in the corners of each itty bitty die cut banner embellishment and topped them with itty bitty buttons. 

Banners are the perfect way to dress up any holiday, and RRR has the perfect ribbons to dress up your banners.  Isn't that a happy fact?

Stars and Stripes Forever

Hello, Friends!  Can you believe it's almost Memorial Day?  Man, this year is moving fast!  To help get you holiday ready, here's a really fun Stars and Stripes Forever card Folio made ribbons from the May Ribbon Club Assortment.

I love the way the Electric Blue Diamond Satin Ribbon pops against the red flowers and white frame, don't you?  To add even more glitz and glam to this patriotic card, I've topped my double loop bow with a Gold Metallic String Bow.

Gold Bead/Berry Clusters aren't just for Christmas anymore!  I love the texture and shine they add to my flower cluster.  They make me think of sparklers!

I've used 3/8" Patriotic Plaid Ribbon to decorate the mason jar on this little magnet that I stitched up for the inside of my card, too.
