Woven Ribbon Headband with a Twist Video Tutorial

Hi everyone.  Bonnie from Really Reasonable Ribbon here today with a new headband variation.  Yup, I'm headband obsessed!!  
Today I'm making Woven Ribbon Headbands with a Twist!!

Don'tcha just LOVE it??!!
Here is my tutorial:

My samples are made using 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon in a variety of colors.  On a few of them I even used a print for an interesting effect.  You can use 1, 2 or 3 ribbon colors/patterns for your headband, but if you use more than 3 you tend to lose the look of the twist.  I used 3/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, but 3/8" Satin Ribbon or even 3/8" Gingham Ribbon would work as well.
The first four samples below are made using 3/4" White Plastic Headbands and the bottom three are made with a 1/2" White Plastic Headband.  A one inch headband would also work fine, I just prefer the narrow widths.

Howdy!  Yikes!  I guess it's time to get back into the swing of things?  I almost forgot to do my last post of the month for the Really Reasonable Ribbon Ramblings blog!  I made a few projects especially for the Craft and Connect with the Whimsy Print by Elizabeth Bell and the fabby ribbon from Bonnie at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

"Celebrate" layout by Tracey

Good morning, it's Tracey here to share a scrapbook layout with you featuring Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Weddings are a time for celebration, and I just adore this photo of the wedding party celebrating Elizabeth and Andrew's special day. This page features several of Bonnie's gorgeous ribbons, lace, and cording and is created with the ScrapThat! August Kit.

Tips and Techniques:

Four Loop Ribbon Bow ~ I used a variation on Ginny's double loop bow to create this bow with gorgeous white Seam Binding. Instead of using my fingers, I got creative and used the handles of my pliers. You can find Ginny's Double Loop Bow Tutorial here. 

Ribbon Leaves ~ I wanted the ribbon leaves to be tucked into my cluster, so I cut off lengths of May Arts White Ribbon Leaves with just one or two leaves and placed them around my flowers. 

Tucked Lace ~ Bonnie has so many fabulous laces to chose from, and I used one of my fave's to tuck into the edges of my page, the Juliet Natural Crochet Lace. 

Chipboard ~ I "painted" on some Smooch Accents in moonlight to add the creamy pearlized accents to my Dusty Attic chipboard. 

Gem Banner ~ I used the pearl gems from the ScrapThat kit along with some decorative jewelry links from my stash to create this corner feature. I used Bonnie's Tombow 3-D Foam Tabs to adhere the pearl gems. 

Corrugated Butterfly and Heart ~ These are hand crafted from corrugated board with tiny ridges, the kind in postal shipping boxes. The heart was wrapped with RRR Iridescent White Metallic String by May Arts. This is one of Bonnie's must have's from her store. I love the sparkly bling this sweet thread adds to my projects!! Aren't they just adorable?!!  
Megan used our 3/4" Chevron Striped Twill to make her super cute Binky Buddies.  These are wonderful for a shower gift or to make for your own baby or grand-baby.   
Head on over to Megan's Blog to see how she made them.  Her tutorial shows how she uses the ribbon to secure the pacifier.  Even if you don't crochet, perhaps you can adapt the tutorial and use with a stuffed animal.

Hello!  Happy Sunday.  So glad you could join me today.  I have a fun little tag for you.  Don't you just LOVE yellow!  It is so fun and cheery!  My tag is made from a paint chip sample added to a traditional tag.  The two different yellow ribbons I have used really add the finishing touch!   

My bow is tied with Sheer Two Tone Striped Yellow.

The flower is made from Yellow Velvet.  Here is a close up!  I added a yellow flower button.  The RRR velvet is so soft!!!

Sunshine Emma from SP and Company Stamps was the perfect stamp for this fun tag.

Lovely Vintage Thank You Cards

Hello Peeps!!
Heather here and I am back from Alaska!!  Alaska???  That is right, my family and my inlaws just got back from visiting my DH's brother in Alaska.  I had a fabulous time, enjoyed beautiful scenery for 10 days!  I will write a post up all about it on my blog once I get all my photos together.  By the way this was not a "Cruise" my BIL and SIL are VERY outdoorsy...so we hiked everywhere!  Meaning...sometimes I was closing my eyes and praying I was not eaten by a bear or falling off the side of a mountain....lol.

Lovey Vintage Thank you Cards
Today I would like to share a set of Vintage Thank You cards that I created.  In a nutshell, I used GIMP to size my images, then cut them out, used my Perfect Layers ruler to create my paper layers, adhered them with scor tape, added some glue, glitter and my fabby RRR goodies.
The Fabby Ribbons and Trims are from Really Reasonable Ribbon, glitters from Art Glitter and images from Gecko Galz.

Bella Fancy Orchid & Video

Hello everyone, 

Today I am sharing a super SIMPLE card I made for Really Reasonable Ribbon. On my card I used 3 different ribbons.

Polka Dot Satin Double Ruffled Black 1 1/2 "

Pink Satin Double Faced

Swiss Dots Grosgrain Black

Tombow Foam Tabs

Black & white Buttons

For the background and my orchid I used CottageCutz dies from the new collection.

These are the ones I used:

Fancy Orchid & Fancy Floral Background

Super SIMPLE to put together. I cut the card base at 5 3/4".  Then the black is 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".  Next the gray is 5 x 5 and then the white dp is 4 3/4" x 4 3/4".  Add sewing and then glue the beautiful floral die cut to it. My orchid is cut with black and just glued on. This card was super fast and easy to make! Next I added my bows, buttons and ribbon tag.

My stamp is an OLD StampinUp stamp and I also used their punch for the tag. Video below.
