There's even more fun inside this card with a surprise pop up element, gift card pocket, blank sentiment card and themed tag.

If you close your eyes and imagine, you can feel the sunshine on your shoulders and hear the sea gulls cry as they float above the waves.

Land of the Free

I just LOVE all the fabulous sentiments and images from Bonnie Garby Designs.  How cute is this one that says "Land of the Free Because of the Brave" and it's a perfect sentiment to celebrate the Fourth of July, or to send to a veteran any time of year.  In fact, Bonnie Garby Designs has oodles of perfect sentiments for every occasion.  I coupled that with a few of the gorgeous trims from Really Reasonable Ribbon and came up with this sweet card.
This fantastic sentiment can be found in the Patriotic Digital Stamp Bundle along with several other awesome patriotic sentiments.  I cut this circular sentiment using the Double Stitched Circle Dies from Gina K Designs.  I used JilliBean Soup patterned papers that I attached with Scor-Tape and then machine stitched together.
I ran a length of Red Gingham Ribbon across my card and tied a pretty bow with that and a length of Solid Dark Blue Baker's Twine.  Next, I added a pretty Ivory Open Rose, two stick pins, and then off to the right I also added two Red Open Roses.  There are so many gorgeous Mulberry Flowers, ribbons, twines and laces at Really Reasonable Ribbon and you're always sure to find the perfect accents.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  You're always sure to find lots of great inspiration on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog and we enjoy your visits.  I hope you'll visit Bonnie Garby Designs and Really Reasonable Ribbon.  You'll love them both, I assure you.  Have a blessed and creative day, everyone.

Blessings,
Karen

Sweet Dress Mini Album Page

Hello crafty friends and Happy Monday to you all! Cheryl here today with a darling dress mini album page I designed for Really Reasonable Ribbon using the gorgeous flowers, lace, and embellishments from the RRR Store. I have been having so much fun working with this dress die, its absolutely darling and can't wait to share other projects Ive created with it.

I started by using the darling design paper from the Little Bo Peep collection from crate paper on the front of the dress and for the bow. Next I ended up using Really Reasonable Ribbon Ric Rac along the bottom of the dress, and then used the Gabriella Lace to create my bow, then added some greenery and then all my flowers. Some of the flowers are older ones, and some are open roses, sweetheart blossoms, rose buds, love all the flowers. Next I used the little Robins Nest dew drops for the sleeves, and bottom of the dress. I love  adding the darling heart embellishment to a lot of my projects as a lot of love went into creating it. Also they are so sweet looking.

Tag- for the tag I just cut out the pink card stock using a die, and then used the bow pieces we're cut using the beau die from the dress collection. I then added a little feather and the really reasonable ribbon Pearl Daisy flower embellishment. Now all I need to do is punch the holes at the top for my rings, and create a few more pages.

Just had to add a photo of it hanging on the stand my husband make years ago. Love it on here, so I can display all the pages.

I do hope you enjoyed my post for today, please let me know what you think! Happy Crafting!

All the Pretty Bows

Hello, everyone! It is Gloria with you today. Thank you so much for joining me today! I want to talk about bows...because I use a lot of them! I not only use bows on my cards and mini albums, but occasionally on scrapbook layouts, and most definitely on off the page creations, but my new favorite way to use ribbons and bows is on counted cross stitch projects!

As I have gotten back into stitching (after over 20 years away), I have had to find low cost ways to finish the completed stitching. Well, I have a lot of scrapbook paper and A LOT of ribbon! Why not make a marriage out of those things and create some easel style stitching projects...with BOWS?!

As always, I start with my Bow-It-All tool, which is how I create prefect bows nearly every time! I had just received a few packages of ribbon from the RRR store, so I put those out to see if there were any colors I could use, and I ironed my finished stitching. (The orange border around the stitching is just some painters tape I used to keep the material from fraying.)
Step two is to mount my stitching onto chipboard. I cut a piece of chipboard to about 1" larger than my stitching, which gives me 1/2" on  all sides for a border. I added batting between the chipboard and the fabric, then wrapped the fabric round the board and secured with double-stick tape.

Note: My stitching is 5 5/8" x 5 3/8", so I cut the chipboard to 6 5/8" x 6 3/8".
Next I cut two more pieces of chipboard for the easel. Both pieces are 7 5/8" x 7 3/8". I also cut a piece of sturdy white cardstock to 7 5/8" x 2" and scored it at 1" on the two-inch side to make a hinge.

I cut two pieces of printed paper to 9 5/8" x 9 3/8" to wrap the chipboard. I then cut two more pieces to 7 5/8" x 7 3/8" to cover the backs of the wrapped pieces. Once assembled it is a paper covered, chipboard easel.
I used hot glue to attach the mounted stitching to the easel. You could use magnets or hook and loop tape if you did not want to put glue onto the finished piece of stitching. This is just a fun thing to display, not an heirloom, so I did not care about the glue!

I then chose some ribbons for my bow, trying to color match the thread I used for stitching.
I used 5/8" Mineral Ice Taffeta ribbon to create a wide bow with three loops. The bow is nearly six inches wide! Next I created a smaller bow from 3/16" Red Plaid ribbon, which also comes in the 3/16" Plaid Assortment. I like buying the assortments when there is something I want to try, but I am not sure I want to buy a lot of it yet. The 3/16" ribbons are a YES, and I plan to buy more colors and styles!
The smaller bow has five loops and measures about three inches. I hot glued the plaid bow to the longer, blue bow. Then, I cut the prongs off a cloth covered brad, and glued it to the top of the bows.
Isn't this adorable?! I love the blue plaid peeking out from the easel, and it is a lovely contrast to the red gingham on the front of the easel and on the plaid ribbon.
Here is what the back of the ease looks like. This is slightly smaller than 10" x 10" and will fit perfectly on my front room sideboard!
Using ribbon for home décor is a such a nice way to either create some seasonal color schemes, as I did here, or to color match your existing decorations. I really enjoy the different textiles and mediums together, as it looks inviting and touchable!
Thanks for joining me today! I hope you are getting into the swing of summer wherever you are. And...that you are having fun with ribbons, too!

For You On Your Wedding Day

Hello friends, it's wedding season!  Today I'm sharing a wedding card that's embellished with some pretty ribbons and mulberry flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon and showcasing digital stamp bundles from Bonnie Garby Designs.

I created a 4-3/4" x 6-1/2" card with loads of layers. My digital sentiment from our sister company Bonnie Garby Designs is my main focal point.  I ran a piece of light orchid Diamond Satin Ribbon wrapped with lavender Burlap String across the center of the card.  I topped it off with a pretty bi-color bow using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon and below the sentiment I have added some Cottage Roses and Open Roses that I lightly inked with purple ink to match the darker purple cardstock accents.

The sentiments I used on my card today came from the Wedding Digital Stamp Bundle and the Wedding Sentiments For the Inside  Digital Stamp Bundle.

Our sister company 'Bonnie Garby Designs' is offering a large variety of digital sentiment stamps and svg files.  Below are the two sets I used on my card today.

My card is topped off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow created on my Bow-it-All V3.0 Tool using two colors of Delicate Stitched Satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
