I saw the eclipse and it was really spectacular I live in Texas and was in the direct pathway of it so I got a perfect view from my front yard! My favorite part was how the temperature dropped! I've lived in Texas all my life and I hate hot weather! Lol
ReplyDeleteI saw it on TV from a variety of locations...too cloudy in my area for a live sighting.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately it was cloudy here so I didn't get to see the eclipse, but did see pictures on tv. Pretty amazing! And those cards for the blog hop were pretty amazing too! Lots of inspiration!
ReplyDeleteNope, couldn't see because of clouds, so TV had to suffice. My son (and friends) drove from OR to TX to experience totality. Oldest granddaughter goes to college in a suburb of Cleveland, so she got to see and feel the moon shadow. Daughter (and other grands) drove to a totality path in MO...grandson took wonderful photos to share with me. This level of solar totality doesn't cross the USA that often...definitely an event to experience! Beautiful work from your Design Team...much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see the eclipse in my area. I did, however, watch it live on the Nasa YouTube channel.
ReplyDeleteI was very fortunate that the clouds cleared for about 30 mins so i was able to see the eclipse! in my part of texas it was about 90% totality but fun to watch. All the items in the blog hop were pretty fun to see also.
ReplyDeleteI was where it was about 94% and I couldn't find glasses so I looked up briefly but it just looked like a cloud day
ReplyDeleteWe were on a mini vacay in N. Georgia - we didn't see it, but it got a little dark in the afternoon while we were thrift shopping. lol
ReplyDeleteWonderful hop. Yes we saw the eclipse and it was total in our area. We had the glasses and sat on our porch.
ReplyDeleteI live in Ohio, directly on the path. people in our area(central Ohio) had been preparing for .months...glasses were advertised all over.There wasn't a motel or hotel room available in Columbus.People came from all over the country to experience it. There was a party atmosphere during the time prior to the event. I wa walking down to my friends to witness it, and people were walking all over to visit and party to wait for it. Cloudy weather had been forecasted, but It was a beautiful day!
ReplyDeleteWe started watching the sky at about 1:30. Amazingly, the phases developed just exactly as predicted on the science sites that had described them. That aspect of it seemed to just blow our minds....that scientists could predict each little change..and where the dots would ebb and just how they would develop and then almost explode into the atmosphere. All of the schools were off the event, and as the changes took place, at the beginning, voices were loud and announced the changes....as it got darker,...things got quieter, until the actual eclipse. Then there was yelling , cheers, and fireworks. It did get cooler. It was both beautiful, and yet eerie. It was almost like a forewarning to take care of the planet
I live in the central valley of California and we already had a cloudy day. So I had no chance of seeing the eclipse.
