Hmmm that is a really hard question for me as I've only met one vegetable that for the most part I don't like. How to pick between old standbys to newer flavorful fun creative concoctions? And then since there are multiple ethnic or regional celebrations with family and friends... will I select stuffed artichokes or a mushroom dish or Arancini or a stuffed vegetable braid or thick tomato slices quick fried in butter layered with creamed spinach, caramelized onions, mushrooms cooked in wine and topped with cheese then baked or wonderful fresh fruit salad or Sweet Potato Casserole with Marshmallows, Pecans, and Cornflakes or (rum/bourbon/whiskey/Kahlua®) flavored sweet potato casserole topped with a praline topping or Hasselback potatoes with bacon, sharp cheddar, seasoned with S&P, garlic powder, thyme, topped with scoop of butter then put in cast iron skillet and all wrapped tightly with aluminum foil and baked or the traditional mashed potatoes with gravy or Bing cherry/sour cream/toasted pecan jello salad or a wine blueberry jello salad or a frozen cranberry layered (lemon juice, fresh whipped cream, 10X sugar, vanilla) topped with chopped toasted pecans on a bed of multicolored greens or a fondue Shrimp/white wine/tarragon/sweet onion. Oh my I have a headache now...You pick and I'll make it. But the ribbons are an easy choice - The Package please.
ReplyDeleteIt's a tie; CANDIED YAMS (I may try adding those tasty spirits as detailed above) and STUFFING!! This is such a pleasing ribbon collection...beautiful and regal at the same time.
ReplyDeleteWell my favorite side dish is my grandmother's recipe of Homemade Cranberry Relish ...which she taught me to make ages ago! I had never liked cranberry relish, until she had me taste hers! It's awesome and one i make every year! And very simple and you can make it several days ahead! Perfect! And your Precious Metals are just perfect too! Luv those rich colors! And all the inspiration from your team! Hugs, Suzy Q
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL HOP! I love the new fall ribbons! GORGEOUS! MY favorite side dish is brocoli... steamed with sea salt :)
ReplyDeleteCandied yams are my favorite or is it the homemade cranberry sauce or the stuffing or... I!
ReplyDeleteThe ribbon collection is very rich in color, beautiful for many different projects.
Cranberry Relish is my favorite side dish that I make from scratch and no white sugar - I used Swerve - YUM!
ReplyDeleteSweet potatoes - candied or a sweet casserole will do just fine. lol Yummy! Thanksgiving dinner is my most favorite meal of the year - spent with my entire family! <3
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous assortment of Autumn themed Ribbon! My favorite Side Dish is Corn Pudding.
ReplyDeleteWonderful set of ribbons. I always loved my mom's stuffing but since she has passed and I try not to eat so many carbs I like butternut squash casserole.
ReplyDeleteI would love to answer that question, but as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving here Down Under, I can't - some of the dishes I have not heard of in our cuisine... :) Fabulous release of ribbon Bonnie, and if my name comes out of the hat - I do have friends who would forward a package to me ;)

Great hop! Lots of beautiful projects!
ReplyDeleteI love the garnet yam casserole I make each year. It has fresh cranberries and a struesel topping. It's always a hit.
I love the color combo of the ribbons. My favorite side dish at Thanksgiving is the stuffing with a slice of cranberry sauce and gravy. And I make my stuffing like my mom use too.
