Paper Bag Mini Album

Welcome back to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog, everyone!  It's me, Karen Letchworth, sharing a quick little paper bag album today using several of my favorite ribbons, trims and flowers from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  As I've mentioned before, Really Reasonable Ribbon has their Paper Bags on clearance, and there aren't a lot left in stock.  For the cover of this album, I used a true vintage (very old) button card, a small wooden embroidery hoop, and I embellished it with a small folded piece of 1.5" Champagne Netting, Burlap Center Stitch Red Ribbon, Red Burlap String, Ivory Burlap String, a Deep Ivory Open End Rose, a Red Open End Rose, and a Two-Tone Ivory and Pale Pink Open End Rose.
The Paper Bags I used for this mini album are from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and as I've shared so many times; paper bags are a fabulous resource for making mini albums.  Mini albums are the perfect gift when you want to give more than just a card; but you don't quite want to go out and spend a lot of money on a gift.  And....mini albums are so personal, and they show your recipient that you cared enough to hand-make their special gift.
I used two Paper Bags on this mini album.  I placed strips of Scor-Tape on the back side of the bags where I wanted to attach them.  I also used the Scor-Tape on all the pages to adhere the patterned paper backgrounds you will see through the album.  It's a super versatile tape, and it works great on mini albums.
On the second page (first inside page), I attached a piece of patterned paper, a mini wooden ruler, a length of Debra Natural Crochet Lace, and a small journalling spot that's topped with a button tied with Black Licorice Baker's Twine.  When making these very small albums, it's good to keep your pages very simple.  Really Reasonable Ribbon makes it very easy to add small touches of trim without overwhelming the pages.
Page 3.....again, very simple.  I added paterned paper, Chloe Natural Crochet Lace; and I tucked a journalling tag in the pocket that has Solid Red Baker's Twine and Black Licorice Baker's Twine tied to it creating a pull-tab so that you can pull out the journalling tag and use it as a photo mat.

The next photo you see is Page 4.  This page has paternd paper, a journalling sticker, a flair button/pin, and some Black Licorice Baker's Twine wrapped around it and tied into a sweet litle bow.
And finally, Page 5 (the final inside page) of the album.  This page has  a piece of gingham patterned paper, a small ephemera red heart, a journalling sticker, and a long length of Cherry Baker's Twine that I wrapped around the page several times.

I hope this has inspired you try making a Mini Paper Bag Album of your own.   Just fold the bags in half, attach them, cover them in patterned papers, and embellish them as you desire....of course, using LOTS of great Really Reasonable Ribbon ribbons, trims, flowers and more.  They really do have everything you need to make something wonderful.

And don't forget about our CURRENT CHALLENGE taking place now on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog.  We would really love to have you play along with us.  Thanks again for stopping by.
