Ribbon Pinwheel Flower Tutorial!

I have a really adorable little tutorial I "remade" for you for my "Pin Wheel" flower.  It was "remade" because the first one was NOT on the SD chip when I went looking for it!  So, the first flower was made with three 4" strips of ribbon where this one is with four!  No matter, they are both easy to make and really lovely!  Any ribbon works of course, but for the smaller flowers, the more narrow ribbons work best!  In this case, the Really Reasonable Ribbon February Ribbon Club included this wonderful 3/8" diamond patterned ribbon that matched the DP perfectly!  There are so many different patterns to choose from in this size that it's hard to decide, 317 of them in all!  WOW!  Check out what's in stock now here!

I've assembled a Shape EZ rolled bag and colored the cute little Kitten from the Wee Stamp Set "Playful Kittens" first with Stampin up pigment ink then refurbished with Copics!  I suppose it's time to toss the old inks after all!  The Sentiment is from the 2 Cute Ink Set "I Do".  I've also used the same RRR ribbon and some American Crafts Eyelets to tie the bag together at the top with a lovely bow in the back.

Four 4" strips of ribbon
Pattern side out, roll one end of ribbon until the edge is even with the remaining ribbons edge
Follow the same instruction for the other edge of the ribbon, it should appear like below
With Thread and needle, make two or three stitches in the center of the pinwheel and repeat 4 times
From the underside, run your thread and needle through as many pinwheel petals as you made and be sure to alternate them before going back up through all of them for the button
When through to the top side, run thread through the button and back down to tie off the thread and your done!  Easy Peasy!

So glad to be able to share with you all today!!

The finished project turned out as hoped, as the space used with the Pinwheel flower was small but missing that home made touch of color and texture that this ribbon brought out perfectly!

Hugs,
