Who am I?
Okay ladies, I'm having a bit of a crafty identity crisis. I have no idea what my style is any more.
So........back in the day when I had time to follow my crafty desires, I knew who I was. Lots of layers, precision cutting and coloring, bright colors, etc.
Now, I hardly ever have time to craft and when I do, it's just pandemonium! I don't know what I'm doing, what I'm using, what kind of project I want to make. Has this ever happened to any of you?
So, I'm searching for the new 'crafty me'...... You are likely to see a bunch of trial 'identities' while I play around. Hang in there, okay?

Today I have a couple of kinda CAS birthday cards. I really want to embrace this style because I like it - and, well, when you have limited time it seems like this is the way to go.
Just not sure if I can pull it off..............
I accessorized this first card with a piece of 1-1/2" wide Tulip Grosgrain - (love that color!) and some Plum Baker's Twine.
The second card shows off some of the colors of our fun Sheer 3-Stripe Ribbon.
I just love this stuff!!
Thanks for stopping by today!
~ Bonnie ~
Supply list:
Ribbon: Really Reasonable Ribbon
Stamps: card 1 - Happy Birthday Sentiment from JustRite Stampers, card 2 - Happy Birthday digi from Bird's cards
Paper:Design Paper from Recollections and cardstock from my stash
Other: Spellbinders Nestabilites dies, Cuttlebug embossing folder
I think both cards are fabulous Bonnie. Good luck with reinventing your style. I too found myself in a bit of a crisis. Am privileged to be on 2 very different design teams. The one feeds my love for the girly images and the other allows me to explore just about anything I like. Am loving experimenting with the CAS look too. Just thought I'd share that you're not alone. Sorry I took up a lot of space... happy crafting! hugs Sharon
ReplyDeleteI think my style is constantly evolving too - love these cards - especially the sheer ribbon!
ReplyDeleteI think you got the CAS style mastered. I love both of your cards!
ReplyDeleteRe-invent away...what fun to come up with a new style, I have no idea what mine is...never did. lol waving hi from the hills of North Carolina ♥
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are stunning x
ReplyDeleteWow, I am so glad you posted this. As soon as I read it I realized that what you are experiencing might be the same woes I have been having lately. In having to create things to be seen as examples for a scrapbook retreat, I really have to mold myself to the masses which doesn't bode well for my own inner creativity. Your post makes me wonder if perhaps I can have the best of both worlds. Thanks so much for sharing!!
ReplyDeleteIt IS FUN to step out of your comfort zone & try new things!!!!!!!! :) I'm STILL WORKING on the CAS stuff! (I just get carried away!) :) SUPER JOB on BOTH CARDS!!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love these cards Bonnie! I know just how you feel except I am not sure I have found my style yet. i know what I love but I don't know how to make it happen so I am a work in progress :)
ReplyDeletewow Bonnie...these cards are great! I'm lovin the new you. I think we all experience the crafty identity crisis. This happens to me every time I get in a new shipment in the store lol. It's probably much worse for you...since you have an entire ribbon store to pick from...how do you ever decide?????
