My first time! ;)

A warm hello! I'm glad you stopped by, 'cause it's time for my monthly tutorial!! Today I present you with a scrapbook layout. Now, there wouldn't be anything extraordinary about this, IF I didn't mention that it's my FIRST ever attempt to make a scrapbook. Yeah... so, bear with me... *lol*
On a serious note, I really hope that you'll like it! I'm pretty satisfied with the result, and surprisingly, it took me very little time to finish. Woohoo!
So, let us start...

You will need 12x12'' cardstock in white, some kraft cardstock, Kaisercraft papers (from La Di Da collection), and Kaszazz crackled background paper (Australian readers can get it from a local Kaszazz consultant, and the rest of our dear friends can replace it with another brand, or make one themselves, using a texture stamp)

Combine patterned papers together as shown, and round the corners.

Sew around, using cream and brown thread.

Print out the photo of your choice. Cut a circle from cardstock, and then a smaller circle in the center of it, to form a "window" around the scene. Trim the photo to accomodate the shape, and stick the two pieces together.

Sew around the circle (I also did some doodling with a black marker), and ink the edges with Ranger Distress Ink in Pumice Stone (Or use whatever other dark coloured ink your heart desires). Ink the edges of the main panel too.

Cut various lengths of ribbon & trim, and combine them along the vertical line, where the papers meet. Adhere, using a strong adhesive.
Here's what I used on the project (product available in the RRR store). From left to right:

1.5'' Ivory Crochet Lace, pink & black striped grosgrain (currently not available); 1/4'' Aqua Satin; Sheer Looped Moss Trim; Swiss Dots Grosgrain Tan w/Brown; 1.5'' Green Gingham; Light Pink Mini Ric Rac.

Cut eight small circles from patterned paper, and mat them with either white or kraft cardstock (combine light coloured DP with kraft, and the other way around). Ink all the edges and adhere.

Stick all circles to the base, along the horizontal line where the papers meet. Place the photo directly on top of the ribbon.

Add two pink Jenni Bowlin Embellished Butterflies.

...and a sentiment on vellum, backed with a piece of white cardstock (also inked up). I used "ready-to-go" vellum from Kaszazz, but you can create a sentiment like this easily yourselves, stamping on vellum with craft ink.
Embellish with some hand-painted buttons.

Voila! You're ready to go! Here's the result:
